Hello ladies, I think we reached the maximum no of posts on last thread so I opened a new one. Hope you are Ok with this OP (@cannonball)? X

@Maiarindell1 I'm going to continue with urbiquinol I think. I'll double check it's ok during pregnancy also. It's just replacing depleted levels in our cells so I can't imagine it would be detrimental. But apparently we can't eat beans straight off the vine 😂 my goodness.

HJ82 · 19/07/2018 20:24

@Tigerlily99 good luck with scan tomorrow!!

Tigerlily99 · 19/07/2018 20:35

Hi @Maiarindell- I’ve been taking this but got lazy in the last 2 weeks as I’m fed up of taking tablets! Not sure it’s gonna do me much good to be honest as I rather think I’ve missed the boat with egg quality! But my acupuncturist suggested it so I did take it. From my vague recollection I think most other people said they stopped after EC but I don’t know if there’s a hard n fast rule.

@HJ82- oh I hope it’s a good phone call and you can wait a bit longer for 5 day transfer. Was on that injection only cos of OHSS on last cycle. Not on it this time. I didn’t really enjoy taking it though- so many bruises! X

Thanks @tigerlily99 and @HJ82 - I’ve only got a handful of tablets left so think I’ll just use those up then stop! Not heard about beans on vine! I’ve had a rare steak and soft cheese tonight in the hope I’m pregnant soon and won’t be able to eat those 😂

Tigerlily99 · 19/07/2018 21:51

Ha ha ha ha ha! I’ve been stuffing my face with blue cheese and sushi in the vain hope I get pregnant too! X

@tigerlily99 sucks that it's been dragging. I found downregging was just prolonging my agony. Was desperately eager to start properly- must feel so irritating knowing that you have the embryos waiting to go and there are so many hoops to jump through. But soooo close now! Keep the faith.

@Maiarindell I ran out of ubiquinol today so been thinking the same!

Lol beans on vine. Soft cheese and sushi I definitely need to start working on...!

@gavinmaxine1 best of luck tomorrow with testing! Hope we see some lovely news on here tomorrow.

@HJ82 I'm on heparin and aspirin with no clear reason either (starting tomorrow)! The research seems to be pretty inconclusive on whether it does improve implantation. Clearly UCH/CRGH are keen on it though... I really hope I don't get an intramuscular bleed on heparin and aspirin. Just did my first progesterone gel (Crinone) and tomorrow my husband is going to do my intramuscular progesterone injection. He's drawn an X-marks-the-spot on my right buttock. Which is nice. #dread

HJ82 · 19/07/2018 23:02

@cannonball8726 I wonder why you can't just have suppositories for your progesterone. Those injections sound rough! So far the blood thinning ones haven't made me bruise, yet.

cannonball8726 · 19/07/2018 23:10

@HJ82 I know. It seems like total overkill. And the OTD is not until 16 days (WHHHYYYY) after transfer. So that's 6 of these frigging injections until then (if BFN). God knows how long they make people continue if they get BFP. They said they do progesterone level on day of ET. I hope that it's super high and they tell me i can stop/ reduce frequency of injections Grin (wishful thinking)

Gavinmaxine1 · 20/07/2018 05:11

@cannonball8726 thank you!!! I'm so nervous. Up from 3am. Very very slight spotting when I wipe this morning.. freaking out 😩😩😩😩😩

cannonball8726 · 20/07/2018 07:24

@Gavinmaxine1 good luck, good luck, good luck! xxxx

cannonball8726 · 20/07/2018 07:30

My husband just did my intramuscular progesterone injection in my bottom and it was actually okay. Go, him!

HJ82 · 20/07/2018 09:36

@Gavinmaxine1 wishing you all the luck in the world today!

HJ82 · 20/07/2018 09:37

@cannonball8726 maybe you can ask them to move you to suppositories after ET depending on your progesterone lvls.

Gavinmaxine1 · 20/07/2018 09:39

@cannonball8726 Awk bless him ☺️

Gavinmaxine1 · 20/07/2018 10:01

@HJ82 thanks so much.. blood test done now to wait until after lunch got results 😩😩😩😩

HJ82 · 20/07/2018 10:59

Clinic called and we have 3 embies doing well. How nerve wracking is this?!!! They think we will do blast transfer Sunday but monitoring closely as we do only have 3... He said 2 were of top rated quality so I'm thrilled about that. At least I know I'm not ovulating duds. I was convinced that was my issue, with my wild youth haha.

Thinking of you @Gavinmaxine1

@Maiarindell1 @HappyHedgehog247 good luck today!!! ❤️

cannonball8726 · 20/07/2018 13:07

@gavinmaxine1 the suspense must be intense!!!

@HJ82 brilliant news on the top quality embryos :) when will you next hear from the embryologists? After asking you about exercise and deciding I felt TOTALLY FINE this morning I went to the gym. The day after my EC. I'm 100% idiot. Did some very light cardio on the stationary bike

@

cannonball8726 · 20/07/2018 13:10

Oops pressed send prematurely!

Now after the gym I'm getting some twinges in my abdomen! What a bloody idiot I am. I hope I haven't done anything serious.

I heard from embryologists too. 14 eggs have fertilised. They'll call me again on Day 3.

@happyhedgehog and @maiarindell yes, hope you ladies are getting on okay!

cannonball8726 · 20/07/2018 13:12

I know I shouldn't be thinking about OTD already (bit premature given I haven't even had a transfer) but no idea how I'm going to hold out until 16 days post transfer before I test. What do your clinics advise? Is it too early to test 12 days post transfer? Sorry - age old question I am sure!

HappyHedgehog247 · 20/07/2018 13:36

Hello

I’m home from ec. It all went ok, they got 7 eggs but the Dr called and spoke to us after as a number of the follicles were completely empty and this often has implications for egg quality. As my expectations were so low for this cycle I’m not too gutted. I think I thought we might come out with 0 eggs! So will just see.

Hope all doing ok. I’m going for a nap!

Maiarindell1 · 20/07/2018 14:02

I’m back too - procedure was absolutely fine. They got all 3 eggs so I just have to hope they all fertilise and are strong ones. @happyhedgehog247 glad that yours went well too, fingers crossed you have good news from clinic tomorrow.
@HJ82 that’s great you have some top ones!
@cannonball8726 I’m sure a light bike ride would have been fine, think it’s just intense exercise to avoid

HJ82 · 20/07/2018 14:13

@cannonball8726 that's amazing!! Wow, you must have a great reserve to get 18 eggs and 14 fertilise! Well done. I had great reserve but since turning 35 it's halved 😣 my mum decided to tell me she went into menopause in her 40's.. hmm. Then my nana tells me it took her 3+ years to conceive each child. 😮 Had I have known all this earlier we would have started trying for a baby before 33! Doh!! I'm sure you haven't done any harm just cycling. Just rest now!

@Maiarindell1 Hoping they all fertilise for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

@HappyHedgehog247 well done on 7!! 🙂

HJ82 · 20/07/2018 14:22

@cannonball8726 I've never done a preggo test. I just wait till period usually. I guess this will be the same, if period doesn't arrive then I test. So I guess day 16 would be the normal day to test in a normal cycle...

cannonball8726 · 20/07/2018 14:42

Well done, @maiarindell and @happyhedgehog. Rest up. And I recommend pizza which I did opt for in the end (plus tiramisu) :) I hope you get some good news tomorrow xxx

@HJ82 I'm not sure as my first AMH at another clinic was 12 which I was told was on low side for my age (32). But repeat AMH at CRGH was 24. And AFC has been consistently 17 (had it checked three times). So I don't really know. But I'm grateful and keeping my fingers crossed for us all over the next few days. You are right - I should just follow clinic instructions on OTD!

And the twinges have gone. Phew. Thought it was impending ovarian torsion...!

HJ82 · 20/07/2018 14:51

@cannonball8726 yep high reserve. My AMH was 19 at 34 and 12 at 35. Crazy! They. Say there's no cliff 😂
