Anyone due to ivf in January!!

Hello! I just booked all my appointments for January and my meds should arrive on Friday.i was wondering if there is someone else that will have ivf in January so we can share our experiences? Thank you!!

The thread started so well as well! Does seem particularly harsh to have such an awful period!

@Floofen it was or first cycle but NHS funded so it's paying from here on.

@Summerloving17 glad someone else is up for round two - yours is frozen right? I'm hoping for a short protocol this time so can all just go a bit quicker than the long!

My period is quite heavy now too. Hasn't been painful until this evening. It's helping it sink in a bit more @floofen. :( Wish we weren't in this club. Have they told you to continue on the progesterone in case and test later? (Depending how much you bleed) I'm sorry.

Thanks for being supportive even when I'm on my second. It still hurts to see bumps and mums with siblings which I think some people (usually without experience of infertility) find hard to understand. I've tried to keep mentions of it to a minimum as I know most/all of you are trying for your first.

I will probably be cycling asap too though my cycle was quite long before treatment. Usually my clinic advises 3 cycles before a FET and 6 before another fresh. Would like to follow all your progress here if I can, maybe we will end up on another thread if timings fit. Also there's a good IF community on Twitter if you want day to day support and advice. I'm on there.

Hi @HelloMist my clinic said keep going with the progesterone. They agreed very unlikely but if there is a tiny chance there is still an embryo there they wouldn't want to take that chance away from me. To be honest I don't mind them that much - much less bloated that bloody egg collection so I'll keep going til Monday. Waiting for a call back regarding follow up and going again!

hellomist I am trying for number 2 as well, I have a 3 year old conceived the old fashioned way so no idea why it didn't work the same way this time. I find a lot of people asking 'when are you going to have another?' Which is hard to here when you're suffering infertility because it's not your choice. Hope you get good news next time around x

Has anyone else still got ovary pains? I've had it quite badly today on my right side so worrying it's either one of my cysts rupturing or another ectopic but hoping it's just normal as hormones all over the place! Xx

@Summerloving17 hey, no all my pain has settled - maybe give your clinic a call in the morning and run it past them? Hope you're ok x

@Summerloving17 my pain/ tenderness seemed to go away a few days ago. I think you should phone your clinic too. best to be safe xx

Hi Ladies. I'm on day 8 since my FET. Cramps are still there but a bit less strong and breast tenderness also almost gone. Not sure if that's normal tho...

Hi @summerloving17 my ovaries seem to be better but I get this weird stitch style pain after I go to the loo in the night, I’m really hoping it’s not a water infection! I get cramps during the day quite a bit though.

Im going through my first ivf cycle to conceive #1 after ttc for 3 years on and off following chemical pregnancy(my only pregnancy) in may 2014.

Have been lurking until now, (recently named changed after asking question about employer and sick note). been meaning to join in sooner and joining a bit late into the cycle . i had my egg collection today and they retrieved 8 eggs.

Feeling ok just soreness setting in and feeling drowsy. Will leave it at that for now for intro

I remember you both from answering a question on my thread about if sick notes are given for ivf. I only hope i can be of some support to you as you were to me xx

Babydust thanks for telling me :) oh that's not easy to hear. I just vaguely mumble something if asked but luckily haven't been too often. Most of my friends know about the IVF and others haven't been too nosy.

I've got my follow on appointment booked in a month's time.

Im sorry to read about your last embryo not being able to be frozen hope you are doing ok i know it must be hard.

Am i right in thinking this is your 3rd round? From what i can work out its about 8 days post transfer (please correct me if wrong)

i have only read back a few pages to try and see where everyone is at, tricky to keep up!

I am very emotional today! I just feel like crying. I am going to go out to try and take my mind off it though.

I feel like if I were pregnant, then I would be really bloated? I’m not... I’m actually looking skinny 😟 I have had some pressure, and lower back pain. But that’s not noticeable now. Only thing is I want to cry!!!

Oh thats ok regarding asking about first cycle. Yes first one .its nhs funded my ccg fund just the one round (i know im lucky as some do not fund at all).

You are right i had ec collection yesterday . feeling sore/bruised and bloated but ok in myself emotionally , just getting very anxious waiting for my phone call !

Im sorry to hear your feeling emotional today hopefully you can plan something to get out for a while.
It must be really hard not to anaylize about the lack of bloating and possible pregnancy symptoms or lack off. Or resign yourself to it having not worked espically after two attempts , im not sure i could do this all a 3rd time your very strong xxx

its hard to say if lack of bloating is a sign or not i dont want to give false hope so i will just say im keeping fingers and toes crossed that this cycle is your cycle

@herewegoagain18 thank you. I think everyone always says that they won’t symptom spot, but it’s very hard not to. Especially when you hear others people stories

Of course it is and hearing others stories its only natural. My problem is a close family member were refferd for ivf the same time as us. They were booked in for ec first but had failed fertilisation. Its hard not to worry though i know there failure ( feel terrible putting it that way) is not necessarily ours .

Still no call. They did defiantly say they will call. There is no number for me to call on the weekend. Only a bleeper number for emergencys only. Or email. Xx

I got the call 6 out of 8 fertilised! They are aiming for a 5 day transfer.
If they think it needs to be sooner will do a 3 day transfer. Cant believe it

I just wondered if anyone else in the BFN camp has gained actual weight that isn’t bloating? I weighed myself today and I’ve put on 6.5 pounds since I last weighed myself, it is all on my thighs and tummy. I’m on mission get back to the gym from tomorrow but it feels so so unfair as although I ate a bit more chocolate than normal it is definitely not deserving of that much!!!

Hope you are all doing better than me- I keep crying at virtually anything st the moment!! Xx

Hi @Summerloving17, I've gained quite a few pounds too but still on the progesterone til my OTD on Monday - though clinic agree I'm not pregnant and I have follow up Tuesday with the consultant. They initially gave me follow up for 6 weeks time and I said I'll go mad by then - consultant has said I responded very "unusually" and he wants to discuss me in a meeting with embryologists etc there and then see us Tuesday. Ugh! It's never good to be the person who responds unusually in medicine! My DH and I have no idea what to make of the immediate follow up?!?

Also got delivered a bridesmaid dress yesterday for 7 weeks time - feeling very unattractive, fat and sad currently so diet has begun!!

When do you think you'll do the FET?
