Lovely, Tumbleweed! :)

Babydust good luck for scan today?

Hoping is it your transfer today? Hope you are feeling well and good luck.

Summer good luck for 2ww and good news that 3 frozen, forgot to say :)

I got some good news too this morning that my one remaining "weaker" embryo survived for freezing as a top quality blastocyst! Hoping that this means the one on board is also capable of continuing where it is. We didn't get any frozen in the last round so this is a boost. :)

FabulousTumbleweed _ I am so happy for you!😊🤗.congrats!!!

That's great @HelloMist, must be lovely to know you get another good go without the stimulation's and egg collection etc! Fingers crossed you won't need it though.

Egg transfer this afternoon here and hoping I'll have something to freeze too x

Summerloving17 · 12/02/2018 14:41

@Hellomist, great news! Fingers crossed that means you've got a great quality one in the oven now too!

@Hoping2018- good luck for the transfer, let us know how you get on and fingers crossed for some frozen ones too!

I am already driving myself mad! Panicking that I felt pains in my right tube again earlier and I might have another ectopic. It's gone now thankfully! I think it is hard to know what is due to the drugs/egg collection aftermath or potentially embryo!

@Fabuloustumbleweed, did you notice any other symptoms apart from tiredness?

FabulousTumbleweed · 12/02/2018 15:01

Hi Summer. I have had sore boobs, but put that down to the pessaries. I have also had AF-like cramps which keeps making me anxious. I don't get them everyday, but when I do, I keep expecting AF to appear when I go to the loo. Of course I have had them on and off all day today, which is freaking me out.

Thanks for the best wishes all. Hope all goes well for everybody who has appointments today.

BeHereNow31 · 12/02/2018 15:19

Congrats tumbleweed lovely news!

Good news for hoping and hello too. Hopefully all goes smoothly from now. 🤗

Ec for me tomorrow. Nervous about the result. 🤞

Xx

BeHereNow31 · 12/02/2018 15:20

Also, tumble the cramps can be a symptom of the progesterone (I had this). Also, my pregnant friends have all said they had cramps during early pregnancy. So, it’s prob a good sign, I’m sure! Xx

hoping2018 · 12/02/2018 16:37

So not great news on day 5 for me. I have two blastocysts but neither are great quality - they offered to put two back but we opted for one. The other isn't freezable. There are two others which may progress tomorrow but also unlikely to be freezable.

Pretty devastating to go from 20 eggs to one poor quality transfer and nothing to freeze. She said quality is clearly an issue and may be why we haven't been getting pregnant.

Into the 2ww now but not feeling positive about it. I
Hope everyone else is getting on better than me! X

BeHereNow31 · 12/02/2018 16:44

hoping oh no. This is such a hard process. Everything that you go through, and nothing is certain. Take care of yourself. X

Summerloving17 · 12/02/2018 16:48

Oh no hoping, I'm so sorry :( However don't give up yet! You still have one little embie in there and from reading up on grades etc, it doesn't always seem to be just the best ones that make it, so everything crossed this is your miracle baby xx

HelloMist · 12/02/2018 16:48

Sorry you've had disappointing news hoping but do try to stay positive! You've had a transfer and I think a blastocyst still has a better chance than a day 2 one whatever the quality. The grades they give it are only a guide as far as I understand: it's just about how they look and how they've divided but they don't know which could implant and which won't. It's not genetic information. There are pregnancies and babies born from the lower grades so you have a real chance Smile hope the others might be freezable tomorrow.

HelloMist · 12/02/2018 16:50

Good luck tomorrow BeHereNow

hoping2018 · 12/02/2018 17:19

Thanks guys. This whole thing is so hard.

Anyone know if overstimulation effects quality? I have DOR so they really weren't expecting many eggs - so to get 20?! Maybe that impacted on things?

FabulousTumbleweed · 12/02/2018 20:56

Oh Hoping, sorry that your transfer didn’t go as well as you hoped. But you have one on board and that’s the important thing. Fingers crossed that it’s currently finding a good spot for the next nine months.Smile

I noticed on one of my many google searches that embryos are graded by quality but I was never told what any of mine were, just that I had 9 good ones. I wonder if it’s easier not knowing what quality they are? A lower one can come good and a good one might not stick so would it not be less stressful not knowing? I don’t know. I’m still so clueless about a lot of the details and finding things out as I go along.

Do you take co-enzyme q10 at all? I ended up reading ‘It starts with the egg’ a while back and author mentioned taking it to improve egg quality? I figured I had nothing to lose in taking them alongside the conception vitamins, but I have no idea if it contributed to the outcome at all.

babydustneeded · 12/02/2018 21:35

Fingers crossed for the one you’ve got hoping

Scan today showed they need a bit longer to grow, so ec pushed back to Friday, got another scan weds to check they’ve reached where they need to, hopefully all we be on track then.

hoping2018 · 12/02/2018 21:37

Hey @FabulousTumbleweed thanks for the reply. unfortunately none of mine not even the one on board are good enough for freezing. Needs to be at least a B.B. to freeze and mines an AC, the one we opted not to put in as well was a BC. If yours are all frozen they must be at least B's. Unless different clinics to it differently?

I asked my consultant about q10 when I first saw him as I researched lots on DOR but he said not to bother.

I think I'll have a lot of questions when I meet him next! X

Sjh84 · 12/02/2018 21:40

Hi everyone, just catching up on the thread!

Congratulations on your BFP @fabuloustumbleweed - that’s excellent news! Hope it all goes smoothly from now on 😊

Sorry to hear you had disappointing embryo news @hoping2018 - fingers crossed the embryo you’ve had transferred will hold on tight.

Good to see everyone else progressing too!

I’m counting down the days to testing on Saturday - I’m now overthinking every cramp, twinge and little shooting pains! I’m petrified to find AF starting but fingers crossed the cramping is a good thing. I’m feeling so tired too, early nights for me!

Summerloving17 · 13/02/2018 09:04

@Fabuloustumbleweed, happy OTD! I imagine your line is even darker this morning!

@sjh not too long now for you! I didn't think we can get AF on cyclogest though as maintains the lining? Everything crossed!

@Hoping hope you're feeling more positive this morning

Today's panic for me is that I spent the majority of Sunday with a child whose come out with chicken pox today, have called the clinic and they said it should be ok if I've had it as a child and have immunity but to speak to GP as they can do a blood test to check - FML

Floofen · 13/02/2018 09:31

Congrats @tumbleweed!

Good to see everyone progressing - crossing my fingers for you @sjh and hope you're ok @hopinh

I've probably got OHSS, ET has been delayed and now they're unsure if I can go ahead with a fresh transfer. May have to wait for my ovaries to calm their bad selves down and do a frozen. Stomach has ballooned out and painful, but no other symptoms. Still you can't be too careful, I may have to defrost my embies later on this year for round 2.

Will let you know how I get on this afternoon. Thinking of you all ladies, stay strong! x

FabulousTumbleweed · 13/02/2018 14:31

Hope all goes well for your Floofen. If it is OHSS then best to know now before you get an embryo on board.

I used the test that I got from the clinic this morning, just to make it official Grin so it was different to the supermarket one I used yesterday. It was pink lines rather than blue so I couldn't really compare it. The line started out really faint, but eventually darkened to be the same colour as the other line which is what the blue lines looked like too.

DH and I didn't tell anybody that we had tested a day ahead of OTD. We wanted the day to process our thoughts about it. It's been six and a bit years of trying and thinking that it would never happen so it's a weird mix of emotions looking at a pregnancy test with two lines. I'm so happy, but also scared that the rug could be pulled out from under us at any minute. This was our first cycle and the clinic were quite upfront about it not working out the first time for most, so I had sort of resigned myself to it not working.

Floofen · 13/02/2018 16:11

Congrats to you Tumbleweed, that's amazing. Of course understand your reluctance to celebrate, but that's still a great start. Well done you!

I had my ET this afternoon after a consultant looked me over - it wasn't OHSS, just bloating (I was, I think, being over anxious about it all). Just got home with wee embie inside me, such a weird feeling. Should I not eat spicy food? Will it fall out? *kidding.

And so begins the 2WW. I'd also resigned myself to not getting to ET this time, so this comes as a weird surprise! IVF is so changeable.

Hope you're all doing well ladies. x

babydustneeded · 13/02/2018 16:18

Great news floofen hope it's a sticky one!

HelloMist · 13/02/2018 16:23

Floofen oh so pleased to hear it wasn't after all and you could go ahead with transfer.

Tumbleweed from my experience I think it's good to be a little cautious but I hope this is it for you after all those years. xx

Sjh84 · 13/02/2018 20:16

Great news you were able to have your ET Floofen!

Has anyone had any sharp pains in their 2WW? I keep getting a sharp twinge in my left ovary area, it’s intermittent but always in the same spot! I did have more follicles on the left ovary, I’m not sure if I should be worried?

FabulousTumbleweed · 14/02/2018 09:58

That's good news Floofen, best of luck with the 2WW now Smile.
