Anyone due to ivf in January!!

Hello! I just booked all my appointments for January and my meds should arrive on Friday.i was wondering if there is someone else that will have ivf in January so we can share our experiences? Thank you!!

@Floofen and @HelloMist I've been super super sore - barely moved as it all hurts too much. Terrified of OHSS and drinking tons but despite this have lost 2lbs in weight so I don't think I have got OHSS - so pains must just be bruising from being poked in the ovaries so many times?!

Just taking paracetamol atm but at 5am this morning even that wasn't helping!

@Hoping2018, that sounds really strange! I wish I had had the option of monitoring but they said just to come in on Saturday for my day 5 transfer so I have no idea how many I have or what quality until I'm there! I have heard they will go for day 5 if they can too as they can get more information about the quality the bigger it gets, I would probably call them back xx

@hoping2018 know what you mean, I was worrying about not getting a 5 day transfer. A nurse at our clinic said it's better off inside you and doesn't make a diff. I reckon to with your gut, I had the same thought too when they told me it was a 2 day transfer but I've just taken their advice. 😐

Glad you guys felt sore after too, EC is not as easy as they say!

Thanks @floofen I've had a nap and did some more reading and feel happier about it now - left a message for the embryologist to call me but haven't heard back. I think I need to have faith in them - they have a good success rate and know what they're doing!

I've felt awful all week - can't believe anyone could go back to work! Not sure if that's because of so many follicles or I'm just a wimp!

hoping maybe they are concerned that not many will make it to day 5. They aren't guaranteed to. At least from the time lapse they already have information on which look more promising. Will be good if you can talk to them but yes, try to have faith in their experience.

I'm into the 2ww after my transfer this afternoon. :)

Hope you’re ok hoping Hospital has mentioned blood thinning injections to me. They think there’s a chance I will have OHHS... I hope things ease up for you.

Ec is Tuesday for me now 😟 little nervous of the results xx

Officially PUPO and OTD is 21st, feeling so emotional, excited and petrified. Got 3 to freeze too.

Im still feeling grotty - as I stop drinking loads I get super bloated so wonder if I've got it mildly OHSS and I'm managing to keep it away?

They called this morning - I've got two front runners (but not perfect ones) so they are leaving me to day 5 after all of that. 6 others aren't out of the running but aren't the number of cells they should be. I'm sure this time lapse thing is helpful but the level of detail they're giving me is just stressful!! She offered to phone on day 4 as they will check them then too and I said "please don't!" Would rather have a day without a stressful phone call!!

hoping have you told the clinic about your symptoms? Also, didn’t think they checked embryos at day 4. Best to go to day 5, and let your body heal.
There wasn’t loads of follicles really. 12. The hormone level is too high on my blood test result. I’m so exhausted today, and just eating rubbish! Suppose it doesn’t matter now lol.

Hi @BeHereNow31 I mentioned it to the embryologist when she called but she didn't seem very interested by my symptoms! I'm a bit better each day as well but can't believe how non functioning I have been - I definitely underestimated IVF!

It's because I've paid for the time lapse monitoring where they can see the embryos and not disturb them at all that they could update me on day 4 but I get the impression the cells are just dividing so rapidly at that point but aren't yet structured that they can't tell much on day 4 anyway!

@Hoping2018 that sounds great and hopefully with day 5 means you get the absolute best one. Glad you're feeling a bit better too. Honestly there would be no way I could go to work, my tummy is still really bloated and sore, I have trouble bending (and don't want to) and I feel nauseous too- just eating carbs and chocolate which isn't great, I don't even want to think about weight gain- better be pregnant!!

@BeHereNow, 12 sounds good, fingers crossed you get a good few fertilised out of those. I can't believe how many drop off! I went 10eggs, 9 mature and fertilised, 6 day 4 embryos, 4 good day 5s!

@Fabuloustumbleweed and @sjh how are you both doing? Not so long to go now!!!

Trying to take it easy today although my clinic did embryo transfer then said I was free to go and carry on as normal! Has anyone else been given other advice? I'm still not going to have a hot bath or do much lifting/ exercise other than walking to be safe! Xx

Also is everyone else doing the progesterone pessaries? They are destroying my knickers!! X

hoping day 5 embryos sounds good 🤞 think our Hospital have the time lapse camera too. They don’t transfer them on day 4, maybe that’s what I’m thinking.
I wasn’t in much pain at all after egg collection last time. So, wondering if you do have OHSS, but suppose the Hospital know best!! Take care

summer yeah, you’re right. I just had 6 eggs last time, and was able to use 2 in the end. I am nervous about the result after.
Hope you’re are starting to feel better. During my 2ww, I tried walking about a bit, but slowly. Haha. And I stressed and symptom spotted the whole time

Hi ladies. I am glad that everything is going well for all. I still have a few days to wait until the test but I was wondering if you are tempted to cheat and do a test early?😊🤔. I felt so bloated and somehow when I laugh or caugh I have mild pains in my lower abdomen is that normal? Also I gain weight. ☹. Good luck all

@Aly82 don't want to get your hopes up but mild OHSS symptoms?!? (I've had all those symptoms and just starting to feel better today on day 4) And therefore a bfp?! Argh - I'm going to be a nightmare in the 2ww. My professional advice is to hold off testing until OTD but that may make you a stronger woman than me! What day is OTD? X

Hi all. Good to hear that things are ticking along for everybody.

I’m nearly there. Two days to OTD. I may cave and sneaky test tomorrow though.

Symptoms wise I was doing okay until a few days ago when I suddenly started running out of steam after dinner. I’m not overdoing things though, mostly work with a small amount of light exercise to keep me ticking over, but by 8pm I’m utterly exhausted an ready for bed. Don’t know if that’s good or bad...

summer yes doing them vaginally, are yours that way too? I usually wear a sanitary pad for the next few hours. My clinic advises to walk around for 15 min after it to help it break up/spread about, do yours? Not everywhere says that.

@Fabuloustumbleweed and @Aly83 both sound positive so fingers crossed for your tests!! It's funny how different clinics seem to give different test days!!! Mine says 16 days post egg collection, have seen some other ladies at 14 days and some longer! @ tumbleweed it feels like yours was ages ago?

Hi all! My test day will be 14 ,from the clinic they told me 2ww after ER hoping2018.
I hope God hears you hoping2018 and Summerloving17. I really wish that this month will be successful for all of us.
As with the progesterone pessaries I use panty liners the long ones .

My ET was two weeks ago today but OTD is tomorrow. EC was 20 days ago. I’ve no idea why they’ve made me wait so long.

With that in mind I said sod it, I’ve waited long enough, so broke out one of my back up tests this morning. Of course I needed the loo in the early hours of the morning so when I woke up I didn’t have anything left in me. I had to faff about for a while till I had enough to go. Sigh. Anyway the upshot is that even without FMU the test came out conclusive: BFP!!

Hopefully that’s still the same tomorrow on OTD
