Hi everyone, looks like lots of positive progress all round!

I’m now in the 2WW, I had my ET this morning, really straightforward! I also have 3 embryos im the freezer Smile

hoping2018 · 03/02/2018 15:50

@Sjh84 great news!! 3 in the freezer is fabulous too. Here's to a speedy 2ww xx

Summerloving17 · 05/02/2018 09:30

@sjh thats great news! How are you feeling?

I feel sick with nerves ahead of my EC this afternoon. Just forced myself to eat something before my period of pre op fasting. Panicking they won't get any eggs, the trigger shot hasn't worked etc etc!! Also found out that they didn't order me oestrogen tablets either as I'm supposed to take those with the cyclogest too. Ahhhhh

Good luck with your scan today @Hellomist

@tumbleweed, is that your official test date or can you unofficially test earlier? I'm terrible at early testing but I can usually tell!

Sjh84 · 05/02/2018 10:16

I’m feeling ok summerloving, really tired more than anything! Had blood test this
Morning to measure progesterone levels so will hear if ok this afternoon.

Good luck for your EC - I got myself totally wound up and upset beforehand but it was fine. Fingers crossed for those eggs! I only take progesterone so not sure about the estrogen tablets.

Good luck for your scan hellomist!

hoping2018 · 05/02/2018 11:48

@Sjh84 are you officially PUPO now?!?

Best of luck for this afternoon @Summerloving17 ! I'm sure it will be absolutely fine/ remember they are professionals who do this all day everyday!

How was your scan mist?

My scan was all good news - now have 32 follicles Shock and my ovaries are so large they're "kissing" which would be why I'm so horrifically uncomfortable - laughing, lying, walking, sitting - everything hurts! Though I am most definitely not complaining - i seem to have shocked them all and they can't believe with my blood tests confirming DOR I've responded like this (albeit they gave me 300 menopur). It does mean I'm high risk of OHSS though and looking more likely we'll have to freeze everything which is a shame.

Trigger shot 9pm and collection Wednesday 9am!

Hope everyone else is ok xxx

FabulousTumbleweed · 05/02/2018 12:17

Welcome to the 2WW Sjh. If you're anything like me then it'll probably drive you up the wall worse than the drugs. Grin

Best of luck summerloving. It'll be over with before you realise.

All the best for your ET today Aly. Hope all goes well and you get your embryo on board safely.

I wish you all the best floofen for scan today. Hope some of the follicles have had a growth spurt over the weekend.

I've decided to hold out until official test day rather than test early. I bought some cheap Tesco tests as a backup in case the one I got from the clinic is faulty. I deliberately avoided the early results ones.

HelloMist · 05/02/2018 12:18

That's OK BeHereNow. Sorry to hear you have been ill, are you feeling OK now? I know it's hard to catch up on the thread, sorry! Will you have a scan soon?

Glad to see you back too Floofen. How was your scan?

Summer sorry nerves are getting to you! Hope it goes OK and I'm sure you'll be fine with the sedation. It helped with the pain much better than the time I had it without (though maybe I was unlucky). My trigger has never been in the middle of the night like that! Hope you catch up on sleep soon.

Great that your numbers are better than expected hoping! We might both be having EC Wednesday then.

My scan today showed I'm ready for it so I'll trigger tonight. They didn't need to do a blood test this time. They'll phone with trigger time this afternoon.

FabulousTumbleweed · 05/02/2018 12:24

Sorry hoping, I didn't see your last update before I posted.

Great news on the follicle count, but I am sorry to hear about the possibility of OHSS. In the long run if it's better for your health to freeze them then it's the best thing to do. They will be waiting for your when your body is ready.

HelloMist · 05/02/2018 12:37

Same here, didn't see newest message hoping. That is disappointing but Tumbleweed is right. Sorry that you're so uncomfortable!

Hope you manage to wait Tumbleweed. My DH wants me to (he said he'll take and hide my tests). I've only done it a day early but it has caused a lot of stress, think waiting is the safest choice. So so hard though. I've been trying to think of some distractions or goals to help get me through. Hope I make it onto the wait.

Sjh84 · 05/02/2018 12:50

Yes hoping I am PUPO Smile - I bet you are looking forward to the trigger shot now, 32 follicles is impressive! I found sneezing the worst Grin

Good news you are ready to trigger tonight too hellomist!

The waiting is going be hard fabuloustumbleweed, I’m just going to try and keep myself busy! I’m not going to test until the official test day either, they warned against it in the clinic.

BeHereNow31 · 05/02/2018 14:56

hellomist hi! Starting to feel a lot better, thanks. Been sick, and a full feeling around my tummy and ovaries. But doing ok. I have a scan tomorrow. Egg collection is likely to be next week. That’s so scary to say that!!
great news that you are ready for the trigger!

sjh I hope that you’re managing to relax now. Tbh, the 2ww is the hardest part. Wishing you lots of luck.

hoping that is a lot of follicles! All the best for your EC. You’ll hopefully feel some relief after that.

Sorry for anyone i’ve missed. I’ll get my head around this soon lol xx

Floofen · 05/02/2018 17:04

Hi ladies!

I had my final scan today and have 22 follicles ready to collect, explains why I'm so uncomfortable doing anything! Sounds similar to what you're experiencing too @hoping2018 😂

EC on Thursday, doing my last injection tomorrow night. Hooray!
Good luck with your scan @beherenow31, let us know how you get on.

BeHereNow31 · 05/02/2018 17:13

Thank you floofen that is a lot of follicles! Fingers crossed for you.

Has anyone been doing a high protein diet, during stims? I have read about it. And I’m going to try it. Probably not loads and loads... but a bit more than usual. Thanks xx

Aly82 · 05/02/2018 17:50

Hi ladies! Happy to hear that we are all progressing. I had my transfer today and I hope everything goes well. As an advise for ladies on stims and after EC, I read it on different posts that if you drink gatorade will help you. I don't like energy drinks because are full of sugar, but I found a natural recipe that provides energy, electrolits, and vitamins(juice from 1 lemon+juice from 2 oranges+1 l water or coconut water +1/4 teaspoon of salt +1 spoon of honey). It helps you eliminate all the medication from your system. I hope it helps. Kisses for all and best of luck

HelloMist · 05/02/2018 18:01

Thanks! I'm so tired already today. Finding I'm a bit forgetful/less "on the ball", anyone else? And getting bit uncomfortable but nothing like you ladies with many follicles.

Yes, BeHereNow I'm trying to up the protein. Not sure if it'll help (meant to help with egg quality I think) but it helps me feel like I'm doing whatever I can, especially when I thought follicle numbers were quite low for me and because fertilisation rate is a worry for me (it wasn't great last cycle). I think extra protein is probably reducing the unhealthy snacking I was doing in down reg as it fills me up more. :)

hoping2018 · 05/02/2018 18:03

Hope the egg transfer went ok @Aly82 ?

Great news for you @floofen - my reading has told me anything more than 15 eggs makes no difference to success rates just puts you at higher risk of OHSS. So hopefully with 22 follicles you'll be bang on for maximising success.

Exciting everyone is heading into to 2ww - I already know I won't cope well with it!

@HelloMist yes both for egg collection Wednesday! Let's hope wednesday is a lucky day!

@BeHereNow31 sorry you've been ill / hopefully the fullness means you've got loads of eggs?!

I think high protein diet makes sense - the fluid in the follicles around the eggs is very protein rich but all the nurses keep telling me is to drink loads as this helps get oestrogen levels lower and therefore minimises risk of OHSS.

I'm trying to drink lots and trying protein but too full to eat much at all atm!

Sjh84 · 05/02/2018 18:45

Glad your transfer went well Aly! Like the sound of the natural recipe, I tried powerade but I didnt enjoy it so have been drinking coconut water which is lovely!

Yes hellomist - my mind constantly feels foggy and I feel so tired! I’ve been finding it hard to concentrate on work stuff.

Great news you’re nearing trigger floofen!

I’ve been eating high protein since late stims and really made sure since EC - my bloating is starting to ease a little bit so I might relax a bit on it now Smile

Summerloving17 · 05/02/2018 21:44

10 eggs collected 🎉🎉🎉 have to wait for call tomorrow to tell me how many fertilised. A bit sore but not too bad.

Thanks for all your support ladies and I will reply in full tomorrow when my head is hopefully less groggy!

Sjh84 · 05/02/2018 22:04

Fab news @summerloving17 - 10 is great, fingers crossed for good fertilisation news tomorrow 😊

Summerloving17 · 06/02/2018 12:15

@Hoping2018 and @Floofen, no wonder you are so uncomfortable, hopefully you will start to feel better after egg collection!

I am excited for us all and to start the 2ww! I had my call and 9/10 fertilised so I am over the moon! 5 day blast transfer scheduled for saturday.

Apart from high protein have any of you done anything else? I'm planning to eat pineapple and watch lots of comedies post transfer, looking forward to it!

hoping2018 · 06/02/2018 12:33

9/10 is amazing!! I've read it's normally 70% so that's great!

I'm meant to go back to work the day after ET Hmmwhat's everyone else doing? Not sure I'll feel like it (I have an intended job and only work 3 days a week but they're 11-12 hour days)

Summerloving17 · 06/02/2018 12:48

Thankyou :)

@Hoping2018, I have actually taken a sabbatical of 5 months off work. I've been there nearly 10 years but not been happy the last 3, just staying for the potential mat pay, however after 3x failed iui and an ectopic and a bit of depression related to it all I decided I needed to put myself first. I also have a three hour round commute each day which I couldn't face!! We are paying too so thought sod it! I did speak to my GP and they can sign you off on a weekly basis if you want a bit more time before you go back....

hoping2018 · 06/02/2018 12:54

Hey @Summerloving17 sorry to hear you've had such a tough time. TTC is truely shit and no one really understands what you go through - you can only do what feels best for you.

My work is super supportive and won't mind if I take the Wednesday just not sure whether to get back to it or not straight away. In some ways it'd be good to be distracted - but I guess also depends on OHSS and how I'm feeling. X

Sjh84 · 06/02/2018 14:31

9/10 is brilliant @summerloving17!

I’ve been working from home @hoping2018 - I have found it difficult to concentrate as so tired but at least I could wear comfy clothes and catch up on emails etc. Back in the office tomorrow wearing stretchy trousers, I will be glad of the company as this 2WW is going to drive me nuts otherwise!

Ninagreen105 · 06/02/2018 14:45

Hey Aly82, I am extremely happy for you. It makes me feel so good that today's women are not giving up. They are taking full responsibilities of their dreams. And not blaming fate for all the bad things happen to them. And if we talk about the problem of not able to conceive or infertility. That is actually not incurable in 21st centuries. Many of responsible doctors are willing to help.So many advance treatments are amazing and have positive results too.I wish that every women suffering from infertility will be able to think out of the box.And leads a happy complete family as I am. So darling! don't be nervous.Stay strong.I am sure you will definitely conceive after that.Stay positive.
