Morning all!

I step away for 12 hours and so much happens!

Otters and Harry - I still hope you're on cloud nine xx

Aliona too right! Life is too short to work with horrible bosses.

Filipnam it's good to hear you are getting on ok. I do hope you can get a good plan at your next appointment and a way forward that feels right for you.

Hardy I misread your post as you were running 25km! is that about a half marathon?! 5km is much more manageable! Hope you and you OH are ok, it's so hard on both of you. I hope you have a lovely day out and can keep doing nice things together xx

Dbear so glad it went well! Hope you can have some good R&R over the next few weeks Smile x

Thanks Minster for your wise words. Did you used to work in recruitment but now are you a life coach? If not, I think you should be one. You always say the right thing! Can I hire you to coach my life?! :)

And it's so exciting Minster that you are transferring next week. I think I'll be right behind you. All being well, we will have the eggs collected on Monday, and then transferred on Friday. It may slip a bit, but I think next week will be busy...

I was feeling so horribly bloated and full yesterday that I was going to call the hospital to bring my scan forward to today. But I woke up feeling a bit better. However, I've just had to run away from my computer to throw up (thankfully I'm working from home, so haven't vomited all over my colleagues). Not sure what the throwing up is all about? My step son had a gross sickness bug at the weekend with lots of S&D. I threw bleach about the house like there was no tomorrow to try and kill any germs. I hope to god I haven't caught it from him... Confused

Starlumiere · 02/11/2017 08:44

And again...

Hi everybody!

Sorry, was busy with my brother his wife and my niece. I love them so much they are so lovely! 😍 I am away from my family so it is nice to have them around ❤️.

Minster and Aliona energiser bunny did make me laugh so much 😂😂😂😂😂. I do think it is going to stick indeed!!! 😜

Minster the blood test was a walk in the park. Done to many since starting this path...we all do right? 😃 Getting the meds tonight and have been instructed to start on the second day of my AF. Should be the 15th of November.

Ladies, when do we start with scans when starting the injections?

It is lovely to hear from all of you and will catch a bit later.

Bless you all 🌹

Starlumiere · 02/11/2017 09:11

Otters and *Harry I keep thinking of you and sending you lots of ❤️. 3 weeks for a scan for both or just you Otters?

Atik bless you, the whole thing seems a bit unecassary and stressful. I hope you are looking after yourself sweetie 😘. A transfer it is though how exciting!!!

Aliona how are you sweetie ?

Hardy any news on these rescue 🐶? 😜 How you are okay 😘

Nice to hear from you Filip. Lots of love to you 😘

Dinks sending lots of warm thoughts to you 😘

Dbear wonderful all went well and now the waiting start. All the best darling 😘

Sorry if I forgot someone, thinking of you all!! 😘😘

Aliona19 · 02/11/2017 09:22

Dinks!! Thinking of you.. hope you ok❤️

Hardygirl78 · 02/11/2017 09:41

Dinks, all the very best for your scan today, I'll be thinking about you.

Rose, you made me laugh, 25k!! Maybe in a few weeks! It was good to get out though, exercise definitely helps my head. Even better, I came home to DH putting up a picture that's been sitting in the dining table all week waiting to go on the wall.

Star, haven't done anything about the rescues yet - our back garden is a soggy, poorly drained muck heap which we're planning to get sorted in the Spring so will probably wait until that's done otherwise the poor pups would sink in up to their bellies!

Aliona19 · 02/11/2017 10:04

Morning all
Hardygirl78 You right, perfect time to rest and sort few things out that I couldn’t due to be a work all the time. Still feel weird, like I should be getting work next week. And I know it’s heartbreaking to see our men upset, bcoz they meant to be the stronger part, but think about yourself too ❤️. Gym sounds good. Want to go myself but not sure if it’s a good idea right now 🤔

Dbear trying to relax 🙃 getting up not 5.30 helps a lot 😆 and I am with you “until I have baby in my arms I won’t believe in anything”, probably even until baby is 18 yo 😂

Rose I really hope that’s not the big for you. I felt little nauseous during the injections too. Didn’t throw up but was close few times, guess of all the pressure and feeling so full and bloated.

Star I am ok thank you ❤️ I always re-type my posts. So now I address a post to someone, select it all and copy, then go up to see who else I have to reply too, add message and copy again 😄 that’s the only way for me me. My scans were like that. On the day when I started injections I had one (Wednesday), then next one was Wednesday a week after. Then Monday and then 2 days later on Wednesday again. That’s all

Starlumiere · 02/11/2017 12:21

Hardy I am glad you getting yourself busy and taking good care of yourself. I have always believed exercise helps a great deal, that’s the reason why I make sure I get plenty! Smile I love running! I did 3 half-marathons 2 years ago and was training to do the London marathon, but had 2 injuries and taking it easy now But I am still planning to do it!!!

Dbear the blood test went well, apart from the Nurse complaining about how much work they have and how unhappy they were all. I have the results in 5 working days, then will have to send them along with DH ones to the clinic. I am 2 weeks away from starting the stims and I am so ready Grin

Harry 2 embryos? How great sweetie! I have been told 2 as well because of my age, but they also mentioned 3 and I looked at her like Shock. The consultant saw my reaction and told me not to worry, to which I replied “wouldn’t you worry??” Wink. We will see, but I am not sold on 3.

Minster darling next week the transfer is happening, fingers crossed Smile. How do you all feel about it? It must be hard not to have shared it with anybody. But you have us Halo

Rose Are you feeling any better?

Aliona good luck for the job search and thank you for your feedback. Got it. I am on a short protocol, did you have a short one as well? I am trying to ascertain how many days of injection it will take in average or the minimum and mac. If I remember well Goodluck was stimming for 7 days only! I liked that! I know it will depend on what they see from scans obviously (well I only know this thank you ladies Smile

XXX

RoseWrites · 02/11/2017 12:30

Hardy ha! you sound like me. Exercise is nice, but ticking things off the DIY to-do list is better! My OH doesn't seem to mind, but all I can see when I walk into rooms is the chipped paint, holes in the wall, pictures propped up in the corner etc. It does my head in. IVF seems to have given him a renewed focus and he agreed this morning to get it done this weekend... every cloud! :)

Aliona and Star - thank you, i'm feeling much better now, a bit weak and pathetic, but I'm not longer sitting with a bucket next to me... I'm hoping that it's just the side effects of the drugs and it's not a bug...

I'm off to the clinic in the morning so I'll double check my drug levels with them then. Fingers crossed that I'm nearing the end of the stims phase...

Star exciting that you are starting soon! (TBH I still have no idea what the difference is between short and long protocol... Or which one I'm on?! i think my IVF cycle will take about 8 weeks, which sounds long...?! Confused

Aliona19 · 02/11/2017 12:30

Starlumiere well I am not sure what’s short what’s long protocol 🤔 I had progynova pills for 7 days and then I started to bleed and that’s the day I had my scan and first bemfola injections in the evening. Then week after I added cetrotide in the morning and then week after I had my trigger. So guess it’s not long. I had week of cetrotide after EC (somehow to help me with hyper stimulation) and have loads of needles for just before the transfer, hopefully on 17th I will know what for 🤗

Minster2012 · 02/11/2017 13:08

I really need to check this more often!! It’s even given up sending me updates!!

I just saw Aliona’s sisters cats on the other thread, and Dinks was it! GORGEOUS!!

I’m very excited about next week’s transfer it’s only just starting to feel real that finally we may be at the end point of actually transfer into not just my friend but maybe just an opportunity to try for a baby anyway as it’s been literally 2 years of talking to my team & the NHS & my immunotherapy drug company & that’s massively shorter than we imagined when we thought we’d have to spend months or years finding a surrogate!

dinks I hope the scan is ok hun thinking of you

rose are you just on the injections or tablets too as my friend has been sick on the tablets + injections, it’s probably just your body getting used to the hormones

Our protocol is long I saw it on a sheet & thats 6-8 weeks

There was a new lady Ella on the other thread, Aliona thanks for urging the link I hope she finds it across,

harry & otters did you celebrate your BFP???!! I’m intrigued, has it sunk in a bit? Have you tested again, I would do it every day?!

dinksandbinks · 02/11/2017 13:25

Afternoon everyone!

I am back from the clinic, we have a heartbeat!! Blob is 0.73cm... how can something so tiny make me SO SICK. All I can eat is salt and vinegar hula hoops. Also there is not enough sleep in the world.

But, I am officially preggers GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Now to fight the receptionist at my GP so I can get to see a midwife!

I'll read through the thread now and see what everyone is up to... hope you're all ok. Thank you all SO much for holding my hand this week Blush xxx

Omg Dinks you master of drama. Tan tan tan!! Making us wait so long. Meet up with a friend for coffee and kept checking my phone and she was like what’s wrong with u. How can I explain I am worrying if a random stranger on internet getting her scan today and I am stressed 😂 congratulations again. Now relax and enjoy every minute of this tiredness 😅

Starlumiere · 02/11/2017 14:32

Rose if it is 8 weeks then it is definitely he long one. Apparently the short one is 2 to 3 weeks. I am glad to read you are feeling better Smile. All the best for your scan tomorrow morning!

Aliona yes, yours sounds like a short one ! I am talking like I am a pro, but I haven’t got a clue! I am just going with what the Planning nurse said to me. Truth be told I was very uncomfortable with taking all the meds as I don’t even take an aspirin. I use herbs, but if I really need to I will take meds. I am at peace with the whole thing now Smile but I guess deep I still have that nagging thought of putting all this in my body. It is for a good cause though ! Grin I am just trying to understand how long I will have to drug myself for ha!

Yes Aliona at least you have now a date to work with, bless you Smile

Dinks sweetie I am so very happy for you! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Please keep us posted Halo

Ladies, what other threads?

Aliona19 · 02/11/2017 14:41

Lol Star what do you mean What other thread lol the old one, one you was worried about losing remember? We were finishing it off with pictures of our dogs/cats 😄 www.mumsnet.com/Talk/infertility/3022574-IVF-September-October-2017?pg=40&order=

Starlumiere · 02/11/2017 14:47

Mystery solved! I check the previous thread and checked all the beautiful pictures of cats and dogs! They are all gorgeous!

Welcome Ella!! Smile

Starlumiere · 02/11/2017 14:48

Yeah well I eventually did figure it out ! Wink

RoseWrites · 02/11/2017 14:54

There are so many posts on this thread that it is officially Trending on the front page of the website!

Dinks HUGE congratulations. You must be so pleased. :)

Goodness, so many BFPs all round.. hope we are on a roll now..

Minster I'm on 4 vials of 75IU merional at night (which seems like a lot) and then 2ml of buserlin each morning. Obviously all injections. I read the blurb in the box and it said vomiting was common 10% of the time, so maybe i'm just one of the lucky ones!

Looking forward to my scan tomorrow, and hopefully getting the eggs out. I am doing a weird walk now to accomodate my weird abdomen! :)

Scotslass01 · 02/11/2017 15:56

@dinksandbinks woohoo! Absolutely amazing news. I have mine on Monday and I'm starting to get really apprehensive about it. I'm so scared that things won't be ok.

Hardygirl78 · 02/11/2017 16:12

Dinks, brilliant news! I've been checking in all day while out and about and then the battery on my phone died. Enjoy the sick feeling, it's awesome!

Aliona19 · 02/11/2017 16:22

Scotslass01 Aww don’t let this negative thinking take over you. It’s been great so far so why would it be any different Monday? U been through enough so why can’t you believe that finally things will be ok? 1000s of women have healthy babies each day so why won’t it be you? I know what you mean, I will be exactly the same if not worse. But we all having fingers crossed for u. Should work! 😘

Scotslass01 · 02/11/2017 16:47

@Aliona19 Auch I know, I'm trying to stay positive and don't know why I'm torturing myself by worrying. I will feel so much better after Monday. Thank you for keeping me grounded I keep letting my mind run away with itself.
How are you hunny?
