IVF buddies September /October continued, heading into November & wearing VERY comfy stretchy leggings & trousers (perfect for Xmas too!!)

@harry78 if I were you I'd book in for a private early pregnancy scan. No way would I wait if I were you.

@harry78 I would absolutely get a private scan or private blood test to check your hcg level as that would also show an indication of twins earlier than a scan if places won’t do scans yet. I think some places will do blood tests really early but it’s finding a private clinic near you that will do it I suppose, I would stop google searching & calling places what’s the earliest they scan or do a beta blood test to show hcg til I found one that would do it the soonest!!

Harry I am with everyone else. Go private. I don’t know where you live but I just checked London prices and u can get early pregnancy scans for like 70/80£ even if it’s more, we’ll worth it to get stress off your shoulders. As for blood test, when I got positive pregnancy test year ago, Gp straight away send me for blood works to hospital. Surely u can do it too

Scots you torturing yourself because you really want to have this baby and the truth is-no matter how many people say you to relax, you won’t. And you won’t stop after Monday scan either bcoz it’s a long 8 month ahead (or whatever is left). In fact all your life now 😂 sleepless nights forever. Nothing u can do to stop this feeling, just don’t go overboard, can’t be good for you ❤️❤️

Send to early 😆 thanks Scots I am good. Meant to relax but was busy with doggie as she not feeling great, then meet up with friend. Saying to myself not to think about work for next month or 2, but is been 2 days and I starting to feel like I need to do something 😄 let’s see how long I last

scots I think everyone will totally agree with the whole worry thing, we are on this journey because we can’t get pregnant “easily or ‘normally’” so of course you can’t just sit back and relax once you get a BFP, don’t be ridiculous!!! Many ppl who have IVF have had many miscarriages so try telling them to “relax, you’re pregnant!”, nah! Doesn’t work like that. But don’t be too hard on yourself, try energiser bunny’s star’s relaxation techniques maybe? Breathe!! One day at a time, wrap yourself up warm, take a walk 😁

star - Started my treatment on 30th September and the first scan was on 16th Oct and the 17th I stared on stims. After that the next scan was on the 23rd Oct then 25th and then 27th I went in for EC. so sounds like I was on a long protocol? I am the same as you hate any drugs going into my body but this is for the best reason.

Ella Hi and welcome! I am a newbie too and all the ladies are lovely it's a great support group. Me and my DH had been TTC for 3 years I had a laparoscopy first in Crawley hosp they found nothing abnormal so we stared IVF on the NHS.

Glad to hear you have a supportive doctor It is totally normal to be nervous and excited and all the other emotions inbetween. I'm not sure how long Ipswhich hospitals list is but I hope that it doesn't drag for you and things get moving, I found the waiting the worst part.

Jealous of all the doggys and kittys pictures, I have been trying to convince the DH to get a either and so far to no avail :(

You are both so right. I've said it before this is one mental emotional rollercoaster we are on. Every stage brings its own set of worries.
My younger sister who is 16 weeks (we are not close and don't get on that well so I'm not included ha) is having a big gender reveal tonight. I can't help but be a bit envious she's at that stage where you can be a bit more relaxed and enjoy it.

harry id definitely get a scan. My clinic said 2.5-3 weeks time. They can tell viability and if there's 1 or 2 at the scan. Can you ask your GP for hcg blood test ? I only had 1 put back as there was 1 leading blastocyst and 3 smaller ones. Would have liked 2 but happy with 1 especially if it sticks!

That sucks scots totally understandable about your sis, you’re so dignified saying “a bit envious” I’d be saying totally green with envy if it were me, I’ve been surrounded by pregnancy for the last 5 years by friends & family basically!! I’m surprised I don’t actually look green when I look in the mirror!!

@Minster2012 hahaha that was me trying to be conservative about how I'm feeling. I've just had a half hearted text telling me it's a boy. All she's done is moan the whole way through so far about getting fat etc and it's really pissing me off. She's such a self absorbed person she wouldn't give a 2nd thought to all the women who would give anything to be in her position. Anyway. Not letting her annoy me.

Just went to pilates and omg it was hard. I missed a month because of the bloating. Told my pilates teacher and got a hug! Turns out she had treatment at the same clinic. Small world!

Aliona How does it feel being a lady of leisure?? I had a psycho boss too.... many years ago. Sent me into nervous breakdown and I couldn’t work for months because I was terrified of another psycho boss. Minster’s right and some people should not be allowed to be managers.

dinksandbinks I am struggling lol I can’t relax as feeling like I should be working. And it’s only been 2 days. If I succeed and become a mum how the hell am I going to stay at home every day month after month 😱😱😱 as for my boss, wouldn’t say he is phycho, just past few month he seem to change a lot. Different person. I put up with feeling like 💩 for years and maybe it’s not best time to change job, but it happened. If not for argument I would have stayed there and kept being unhappy.
How’s your other half feeling about you being pregnant?

Rose Sorry you were ill! I think there are a lot of side effects to these medications :/ I guess they are only short term though? Hope it doesn't come back!!

Aliona I was like that when I quit a job to start my PhD, I took 3 months off in between and I spent the first month going "wtf should I do???". If you are a mum I think the kid will be another boss from hell hehehe... kids are jerks. But we will love them!!

My friend has been a bit sick lately but all in a good cause so she’s (not literally) sucking it up!! We have started to joke about “popping Nige back in” as my OH has said “why don’t ppl just name kids good traditional names like Nigel anymore?!” So we joke about us fighting over him wanting to call it Nige 😞

Am starting gindog off slowly, she tried to steal my hot chocolate before making herself comfy 🤣🐶. Yes I’m in the north!

Am propa ill... Just wen a started taking tablets. Ma nose running soo much not only out BT down ma throat too.. Sneezing all the time a fink a spit on everything by mistake even on ma wonderful partner too.. Nd ma throat just hurt lyk 1000 razors scratching it... A all De tym drinking lemon honey tea BT a don't fink so it's health cz tea it's not soo healthy if u drink it too much.. Nd a had one cup if lempsim BT same a don't fink it's help wid dis tablets... Tomorrow need get sum syrup BT dats nothing help wid ma tablets too... Atm a take 3tablets estradiol
