Ivf buddies October/November

Hi

I have had my 1st consultation today to start ivf.
Looking for buddies to share information and talk to.
Have been told my amh is very low, and I have 20% success rate.
Appointment with the nurse Tuesday to find out when this rollercoaster starts.

Congrats river no news for me yet and clinic hasn't been in contact I'm 9 days late and can't have transfer without my period but miracles might happen xx

Thanks river, I know I should consider myself lucky that we had a good one to transfer. How are you getting on? Have you told your clinic yet?

Coolchick sorry your still in limbo. Have you taken a test just in case? Hope you get hold of your clinic soon.

My official test day is the 9th when I would be 13dp3dt. The clinic are going to call me so I will tell them then, i have set aside a digi test for the day and have been testing with cheap ones every day.

Very paranoid and just can't seem to relax!

Not sure if I fit in this forum or a Dec one. I start IVF process mid Nov and had EC last week Friday. They collected 11 eggs, 5 good eggs fertilised. I then had a 5DT blastocyst on Wed this week. Put 1 back and froze 4. Now in the 2WW. No symptoms at all.

haven't managed to get hold of clinic yet I'm 13 days late I'm going to wait another two weeks before I start panicking I haven't taken a pregnancy test as I'm worried that its getting my hopes up and dashed at same time I'm rather cranky at the mo and that's all really probably the emotions of this and work hard work at the moment ive had a week off so more relaxed than I have been hope everyone else is ok

Well I've been naughty and tested early...and got a bfp! My first ever!

Had a faint line on FRER yesterday, but today it's much stronger and very clear! Just hope it sticks! I'm 9dp2dt

Oh wow Pirate that is amazing!! You must be thrilled!!! Congratulations!!

I am now 4 weeks 4 days and the clinic rang on saturday to confirm. I have a scan booked for the 2nd Jan to see how everything is progressing. I have been told I can refer myself to midwife but I might wait until the scan first. Still pretty nervous but I think I will be until I see a heart beating!

Still left in limbo really 18 days late now and it's starting to frustrate me clinic said if it doesn't come by end of the week to have an ultrasound to not have a period since October is very odd for me congratulations river you seem to be progressing nicely xx

hope all is well just to say that my period arrived yesterday so I am back on track for the last attempt of my ivf 4th time lucky and all that fly out in January for it any news your ends

Hi girls,

I’m back, I had a failed fresh ivf cycle in November, I had 2 6 day blasts left, I had one transfered on 8/02/2018, so I’m 5dp. I’ve done 2 first response tests today, not my first wee, and I just wanted your advice on them, a line appeared in both within 1 minute, but very faint. Has this happened to any of you??

Hello, sorry for jumping straight in with this but I was wondering if anyone on here has been refused nhs funding for ivf and what they did. We’ve just appealed against the decision to not fund any cycles. I’m 40, OH has two kids already but had a vasectomy and failed reversal last year. The vasectomy is the reason for refusal. I’ve written to my MP and started looking into private options but it’s so depressing. The hospital also told me that I had some possible endometriosis adhesions over one of my ovaries which has really got me down and just had an irregular bleed. My OH is choosing not to talk about it unless I ask and he’s about to start working away for three days a week which is going to make appointments more difficult. I just feel so hopeless. I feel like time is running out for me to have a baby. It’s such a huge thing to plan and finance and I probably need some online buddies who have been through similar to give me some hope and support. Sorry to sound so depressing. I hope everyone is doing well with their journeys xxx

Bessie19 we were refused funding as at 35 I was too old to meet the criteria for our CCG, we did appeal as neither of us have children and we have male factor, they refused. We researched clinics, found Europe to be cheapest and better and went for treatment there. You really need to get DH talking about this, its not fair on you
