Ah dam. I thought we were done with internals.
I'm ok, stopped the progesterone last week and have only just stopped freaking out that I'm not taking it. Can't wait for my first scan.

Hopingandwishing · 14/09/2017 06:24

Morning I broke a day early and tested this morning- BFN. My two little dudes didn't stick. Feel a bit numb, as with the shock of last Saturday's bleeding, I think deep down I already knew they'd gone

thegamblersmrs · 14/09/2017 13:04

So sorry to hear your news. What's the next step?

Whatamuddleduck · 14/09/2017 13:27

I'm so sorry hoping, that's the worst news. Have you told DP? I find that difficult but a relief to have someone who understands. Look after yourself and take as much time as you feel you can as you work out which way is forward for you.

Hopingandwishing · 14/09/2017 19:27

Thanks guys.

I haven't phoned clinic yet, but hoping they will do a debrief and tell us if there is anything else we could be doing along the way or whether there was anything unusual.

I found the ec difficult and I need to mentally prepare for a future cycle. Dh has been really supportive and agrees to see where we are at around Christmas (and also save some money for private treatment)

Floofles · 14/09/2017 19:55

Duck that's all amazing!!! Well done to you and your beans, are you relaxing into the idea of being actually for real pregnant yet!?

Chivin that just sucks - I remember you saying now 😥 there definitely should be somewhere we can go for independent advice - there would be for anything else that costs this much money!!!

Hoping I am so so sorry they didn't stick 😭. Make sure you get a debrief, don't let them fob you off! And make sure you have time for a good old cry 💔

I've got my 'what's next' appointment tomorrow when I'll hopefully find out a bit more about my frosty. I just want them to stick it in now!!! Although not if that takes all of my NHS entitlement...
But I've had af and I want to get on with somehow getting up the duff now please!

ChoChang · 14/09/2017 21:07

Hey ladies, just checking back in here, sorry Ive been awol Hmm

Duck thats great that you got your scan and all was well, fantasic news, congrats!

Hoping im so sorry about your bfn Flowers You should definitely get a follow up appointment to discuss the cycle and what you might do next. I hope they can give you some answers and advice going forwards.

Chivin its so hard to know what to do for the best. I remember you saying youd researched and found that the pill could explain what happened during your cycle, but what are you supposed to do when your clinic says otherwise? Its so difficult. I guess you just have to reseach and follow your gut about whether you have faith in the clinic, and if not then look at other options.

Good luck with your appointment tomorrow floof! Make sure you take your list of questions with you!

Floofles · 16/09/2017 19:40

Ugh appointment just confirmed all of my worst thoughts about this whole horrible scenario.
Even the consultant described the cycle as 'disappointing' 🙄
So now I wait til I'm free of pneumonia, transfer little frosty if it thaws (which is not very likely) and keep my fingers crossed for some sort of miracle or a lottery win!

Hopingandwishing · 16/09/2017 21:39

My fingers are crossed for you floofles.

I have my follow up appt on Wednesday, strangely with a Dr I've never met before. I have had the same nurse throughout for appts but seen 4 different consultants for 1 cycle

Whatamuddleduck · 18/09/2017 12:33

Floofles I'll have my fingers crossed for your frostie. It's surely a hardy little thing having made it this far!

Hoping I hope the meeting is positive and that they can offer a plan for a way

Whatamuddleduck · 18/09/2017 12:34

Ops sorry 'plan for a way forwards ' is what that was meant to say!

Hopingandwishing · 20/09/2017 13:03

Had my review of the failed cycle and it's more bad news.
We went into this cycle being very naive and didn't ask many questions. Initial tests at our Drs showed that dh had low sperm mobility and that's what we thought was wrong.
Turns out the day of ec dh count was fantastic and the supplements he'd been taking had worked.
Today we found out that my count (i think she said ahf?) Is 6 which is increadibly low and our chances of actually falling pregnant naturally or thru icsi are less than 30%.
Finding this all very difficult so planning to see the clinics councillor

thegamblersmrs · 20/09/2017 17:35

Hoping I'm sorry for your news. I think it might be amh but I don't know what it is and what it does. 30% for icsi is still ok isn't it? My clinic offers a 48% success rate with icsi so it's not that much lower.

I'm hoping you are that 30%

chivintassle · 21/09/2017 16:15

Hi hoping I'm in a similar situation, please pm me if you want to chat x
