Hi all! I know there's a June/July thread but I've started this one as I'm so far behind everyone else and wanted to find others at the same stage as me!

We're due to start a FET after a failed fresh cycle in march resulted in a CP. We got 5 Frosties which I'm so pleased with and we're putting two frozen ones back this time.

AF came yesterday, so I'm booked in for scratch on 24th of this month and start DR on 22nd.

I joined a thread on my last cycle and it helped me so much as I am very private with all of this. So I'm hoping to find others to share with again 😊

I totally understand why couple break up, we separated for a month recently down to it which was just awful! Can't let it tear u apart u just gotta keep going 💪🏻

thegamblersmrs · 23/07/2017 18:43

We have naturally spent less time together, more so in the hope that after this process our lives will change and we will be doing less things with or friends and away from home.
I think it's really helped spending less time together.
Glad you're back on track now. This is a positive wee group so hopefully that spreads to all the members! ❤️

Leanne1185 · 23/07/2017 19:07

Yeah it helps so much to chat to others who r going through it as even though my friends and family have been fantastic they don't know how it feels! Spreading the positivity ladies, we can do this 💪🏻

Leanne1185 · 23/07/2017 19:19

Is everyone continuing to exercise throughout treatment? I keep reading conflicting things about it xx

thegamblersmrs · 23/07/2017 19:43

I've only had prostap but I went to body combat the same day and have done yoga. Will probably do body attack tomorrow.
I'm going to see how I feel, I always feel
Grim on af so getting exercise in now! My clinic said to do as normal

Leanne1185 · 23/07/2017 19:54

Ok thanks I'll go to spin tomo I don't want to stop exercising because it makes me miserable! Thanks xx

thegamblersmrs · 23/07/2017 20:12

I'm exactly the same Leanne. If I didn't exercise I'd need medication! My clinic as I say advised doing everything as normal but they haven't given much advice or info about anything.
I've read a lot in forums of advice re exercise etc so I've no idea, my head is screwed with it all.

Leanne1185 · 23/07/2017 20:30

I know every person/clinic seems to say conflicting things so maybe we should just go with our own bodies...if I feel drained I won't go but if I have energy I will 🤔 Xx

thegamblersmrs · 23/07/2017 20:46

That's exactly what I'm doing.
I freaked myself out reading all the forums with the dos and donts and basically thought I'd have to sit with my feet up for 4 week (I can barely sit still for an hour)
When I mentioned it at the clinic they told me to stop reading forums!

Leanne1185 · 23/07/2017 20:54

Haha I know we're on one just now but I refuse to sit and read them for hours I did it last time and it consumed me its awful!! We can do it our way and chat to each other if we need advice 😂

thegamblersmrs · 23/07/2017 20:58

I'm only reading this one as every one is very being very supportive and the AIBU as it's saved me a lot of money in magazines! 😂

Leanne1185 · 23/07/2017 21:01

Whay does AIBU mean?😂

thegamblersmrs · 23/07/2017 21:09

The am I being unreasonable group, just read- don't post!
Don't read any of the infertility ones though cos it gets me thinking about stuff I hope I don't need to think about.

Leanne1185 · 23/07/2017 21:30

Yeah that's a good choice! We are having to use a donor as my husband has zero sorry count so if anything ends up wrong with me too we will be devastated 🤞🏻

Leanne1185 · 24/07/2017 11:29

Can I ask another really silly question is it ok to get your hair dyed when injecting?
Thanks in advance xx

thegamblersmrs · 24/07/2017 11:57

Leanne, absolutely no idea. I would say it's fine as long as you know you're not allergic. Would be the same as dying your hair when taking the pill as it's just a hormone? I could be completely wrong.

chivintassle · 24/07/2017 12:39

Good luck to everyone doing stuff today! Starting injections, the advanced smear (can't remember what it's called sorry!) or hairdressers 😂
Re hair dye I'd say it depends how strict you're being re chemicals, I'm being strict following a failed round, being old and reading it starts with the egg. But if you're young and not affected by bad egg quality then I wouldn't worry! I would then go with the wider feeling good about yourself, PMA etc outweighs the chemicals! So in short I'd say do it if you want to!

Leanne1185 · 24/07/2017 17:46

Well I'm 32 so no spring chicken 😂 I'll ask my clinic tomo before I do it as don't want to have the what if feeling if it doesn't work! I'm in AGONY with AF pain today andcabt even bring myself to take a paracetamol 😫 The stuff we go through as women eh😕

BiscuitBill · 24/07/2017 19:03

I had my scratch today - OUCH 😖* *
I can only explain it as period cramps all coming in one go for about 30 seconds! The only good thing is it's over very quickly, the nurse even held my hand bless her 😂

Leanne not sure about hair colouring sorry! Just give your clinic a ring I'm sure they'll answer any questions you have.

Ouch indeed bill, sounds like you handled it like a boss and you're right that's it done! On to the next bit.

Does anyone ever cope really well with something and then sometimes think crap that was my opportunity to call in some extra sympathy/support from the man one? Maybe just me!Confused

chivintassle · 24/07/2017 19:47

leanne I'm sure you can take paracetamol, it's just ibuprofen based that's a no. Poor you. 32! What I'd give to have my body be 32!!
bill oh no, hope you feel better now. I've got this to come down the line (all going frozen as being tested) but you've scared me already 😬
gamblers think exercising is good. Esp if you're in a habit. I was quite down when down regging last time, so going swimming ever morning now so hopefully can carry it on next week and when down regging properly. I was told just to be careful when your close to EC with twisted oviaries, think if you get loads of follies then might be tricky but with only 6 I would've been fine, was just a bit too flat to exercise.

BiscuitBill · 24/07/2017 20:24

Ahhh sorry chivin 🙈 it really is over in no time!

chivintassle · 24/07/2017 20:36

No pain, no gain 😂

ChoChang · 24/07/2017 21:15

Hi ladies, can I join you please? Due to cycle in August, got my scratch on Wednesday and next week we have pre scan/drugs appointment/dh semen analysis (last one was a couple of years ago so just a check all is still ok), then all being well will start a fresh cycle mid August. Not had chance to read through the thread properly yet so will do that now, but just wanted to say hi and good luck to anyone cycling at the moment Smile

Leanne1185 · 24/07/2017 22:09

Hi chochang, welcome aboard! It's exciting ur starting soon and I'm sure ur tests etc will be fine! I start injecting tomo and it's so weird cz I actually can't wait 🤔😂
