Hi all! I know there's a June/July thread but I've started this one as I'm so far behind everyone else and wanted to find others at the same stage as me!

We're due to start a FET after a failed fresh cycle in march resulted in a CP. We got 5 Frosties which I'm so pleased with and we're putting two frozen ones back this time.

AF came yesterday, so I'm booked in for scratch on 24th of this month and start DR on 22nd.

I joined a thread on my last cycle and it helped me so much as I am very private with all of this. So I'm hoping to find others to share with again 😊

Work from home (pj's mandatory 😂)

Whatamuddleduck · 28/07/2017 08:59

Hi everyone
Definitely no DTD here, day 3 of stims and feeling weirdly full. Although the odd feeling from the scratch seems to be settling down.
Checked with the clinic and I have no further checks until day 10stims- they say that's fine as no pcos.

Thirty- I'm glad your test is done, life seems to throw extra things at us just when we least need them.

I've been doing no excercise since staring diwnregging. I normally rely on a run to dtay sane but have just wanted to slerp! Against my better judgement I'm off to a trampoline park with sister and her kids this morning. Very gentle bouncing is all I plan on doing!

I've slightly lost track of who's where in their cycle. Does anyone fancy making a list? Or maybe it's just me, my memory appears to have left!

chivintassle · 28/07/2017 10:04

duck down regging had same impact on me 😬I definitely remember no trampolining after ET. But for now I reckon it'll be great fun 😀

Leanne1185 · 28/07/2017 10:15

Thanks for the advice ladies, it just occurred to me that my twinges are all on the right side so I will do the next couple of days on the left to balance it out, don't know if it works like that 🤔I don't have the energy for exercise either so just walking my dog a lot and today I'm going to have a proper clearout of my house haha cleansed house, cleansed soul 😂😂

BiscuitBill · 28/07/2017 11:33

They told me to alternate each day because of the bruising and to give the leg a rest.
We have been told to use protection because of our ectopic last year. I ended up having to have my belly sliced open from left to right & stapled back together so OH doesn't really have a say in the matter!!!
I am soooo tired this week since I started down rigging 😴 I think it's one of the only side effects I had last time too.

Floofyfloo here - had to make a new name as my phone has completely stopped working (stress I DO NOT NEED).

I like the idea of a list so...
I'm floofy

IVF with icsi - started 11th July downregging
Began stimulation on 26th July, hopefully collecting eggs week of the 7th august!

Leanne1185 · 28/07/2017 16:41

Leanne1185 · 28/07/2017 16:44

Here I go
I'm leanne
32 years old
TTC 3/4 years
Male infertility- using donor
Previous 4 IUIs- 1 success which ended in MC
IVF - started down regging on 18th July, been on menopur injection since the 25th and go for bloods and scan on Wednesday

thegamblersmrs · 28/07/2017 17:06

Hiya!
TTC 3 years
Unexplained infertility, both normally fit and healthy. Regular periods, always on time. Never been pregnant and first time ivf. No other suggestions other than to go ahead with ivf.
Started prostap 20th July.
Scan and start stims August 7th.

thegamblersmrs · 28/07/2017 17:10

Oops! I'm 32.

ChoChang · 28/07/2017 18:47

Hi!

34 years old
TTC 5 yrs.
2 chemical pregnancies in 2013, then didnt concieve again. Mine and DH tests all normal. Unexplained infertility.
1st IVF March 2016, BFP but MMC at 7 weeks. Then miraculously fell pregnant naturally the very next cycle, but MMC again at 7 weeks.
Referred to recurrent miscarriage clinic but again all tests normal - Unexplained recurrent miscarriage.
Low NK cell count so just had scratch, have baseline scan and drugs appointments next week (and DH semen analysis, cos he hasn't had this done for over two years, but all ok last time). Expecting to get AF and start short protocol fresh cycle around 10th August.

ChoChang · 28/07/2017 18:53

Oh yeah, and FET in Jan this year, failed.

chivintassle · 28/07/2017 19:52

Chivin here
39.5yrs old
TTC since got married 7yrs ago
Both fit and healthy, DH ex marine, slight issues but seems to have improved with less booze!
I 1 MC at 9weeks 4 yrs ago. Think 2 chemicals since.
Spent 2yrs in NHS system (wish we'd just gone private) had failed cycle in may. 8 eggs, 6 mature, 2 fertilised, 1 in day 2, 1 frozen. Changed clinic.
On pill, expecting to start down regging on Monday. Not sure on timing but think EC 3wks after.
Not had a drink since 01 Jan 😬

Nowwhyareyoucrying · 28/07/2017 19:53

Yes Leanne I did. The nurse was really nice and said that it's only really massive bubbles that cause a problem so really don't worry about the small ones. It has to be 20mls of air to cause a problem. Small bubbles might just be a little more painful when injecting.

Nowwhyareyoucrying · 28/07/2017 20:06

So...

28 years old
TTC 4years
Unexplained infertility
Slightly multi-cystic, mild endometriosis on front of uterus diagnosed through a lap, but neither are thought to be severe enough
Long cycles (35 days approx)
Tipped uterus
Clomid 6 cycles BFN
IVF - on day 5 of stims (gonal-f & cetrotide) - scan today showed I was progressing on track, about 18 follicles atm

BiscuitBill · 28/07/2017 21:15

Hi all 👋🏼

29 yrs old
ttc for 3 years
6 cycles on clomid due to not ovulating
Also have endometriosis which has caused scar tissue in both tubes, because of this we had an ectopic in Nov last year
Failed fresh cycle in April resulting in CP
29 eggs collected, 6 made it to day 5 so got 5 in the freezer
Day 5 of DR due for ET around August 22nd depending on AF

It just goes to show no two journeys are the same doesnt it. Hats off to you all for braving it out x

Floofles · 29/07/2017 08:14

Gosh it is such a long and hard journey when you just write it down isn't it! My hat is off to those of you who have been in this for such a long time, and I really really hope that this cycle is positive for as many of us as it can be!

I dtd last night (stupid stupid) and (tmi) the big o nearly made me vomit. I didn't feel sick at all but my muscles were all spasming and it was a relatively close thing! Poor DH was very understanding, but kind of put out 😂 Anyway, I'm meant to be doing park run this morning, but my muscles are still kind of spasm-y. I think I should probably not go, but that is super annoying as I rarely have motivation to do anything bloody good for me, and after spending a good quarter of yesterday crying I thought I'd try being less of a complete mess today...

Nowwhyareyoucrying · 29/07/2017 08:43

Haha Floo that made me laugh, pleasure and pain are clearly very closely linked. If you don't feel up to it then don't do it, it's no big deal! I'm having a lazy weekend, although we've got a wedding reception tonight (I'm designated driver which never happens). I think you and I are on almost exactly the same path, my egg collection is currently pencilled in for the 7th.

thegamblersmrs · 29/07/2017 08:57

Oh my goodness floo! Poor you! I was just going to ask if anyone was getting cramps though as I've been getting them for past few days. I'll refrain from the big O!

Floofles · 29/07/2017 09:18

gamblers definitely avoid. I wasn't crampy at all before that, and now it really hasn't subsided that much. I decided against any sort of running! It's not awful though, not painful really - just a definite ache. I'm glad though as I was beginning to think nothing was happening because I'm on such a low dose!
crying I think we are on pretty much the exact same timeline (I'm on day 4 of stims) Although different meds - I'm taking follitropin alfa (bemfola) not sure why there are so many different drugs for it all!
Is this your first ivf cycle? 18 follicles sounds great! I really want my scan now so I can see how they're getting along!

ChoChang · 29/07/2017 09:28

Oh no floo, I will def be refraining from dtd after that story! Yeah give yourself a break if youre not feeling up to running, I dont think I moved much at all on my fresh cycle!

Feeling a bit low today. Its one of our oldest friends wedding, but its in Poland so we werent able to commit to be able to go when we needed to RSVP. We had no idea if I might be pregnant, in which case I def wouldnt have wanted to fly (after 2 MMCs last yr I will be taking no risks whatsoever if we manage to get pregnant again), or if we'd be in the middle of treatment. DH has known his friend since beginning of high school, and Ive was then close friends with him at college, and we then kind of met through him, so it sucks to not be able to be there. Also, the whole old gang are out there now and the only time we all get to be together these days is at weddings 😞

We have plans to meet some other friends for lunch today instead, but guess what they announced a few days ago. Still going, but think Im gonna have to write today off as one of those shitty infertility days.

findingmyfeet12 · 29/07/2017 09:28

Can I join?

37
TTC: 10 years
Numerous IUIs and IVF cycles
2 miscarriages at 12 weeks

We had a very health FET on Tuesday (we've got two frozen embryos left now).

So far I don't feel any symptoms (not that I'd expect to do early)
In my last two pregnancies I had sharp pains in my belly button and lower back pain too. That's how I knew I was pregnant.

Leanne1185 · 29/07/2017 09:41

Welcome findingfeet, this group is certainly helping me get through this process so I hope it does u too! That's exciting that ur on the 2ww, this is the worst part which I'm sure u know! Sorry it's been such a haeartbreaking road for u!
I'm so glad I read this morning as I said to my hubby that maybe tonight for dtd, not after reading this...ouch!!!!
Chang don't feel bad about missing the wedding, u r doing everything in ur power to work towards ur family and so often we beat ourselves up when we shouldn't! That sucks about going out for lunch having to celebrate others but ur strong and can do it! I was at a pregnant friends for dinner last night and had to paint my smile on and ask to see scan pics it was hard but I was proud of myself after xxx

Floofles · 29/07/2017 09:46

Welcome finding that sounds like a traumatic journey to today, I really hope this time all is well!
cho that absolutely sucks. I declined going on a road trip with a friend because I thought my doggy might be pregnant (turns out she's not, because in my household we're all barren Confused) and in the end I'm glad I didn't go because I'd have had to postpone treatment... but all I think about is how I can't go anywhere nice, and I'm wasting a summer holiday doing nothing fun, and I can't commit to anything in the future etc etc. Nightmare. Sometimes we have to just have shit days though. If it's going to be hard seeing friend I would avoid, and hide in a duvet with chocolate and films! (But then I am a bit of an avoider by choice)
I have a whole family gathering today, first since I got married without telling anyone - so I'm going to have to tell all my nosey relatives I'm married and then fend off the pregnancy questions, whilst not drinking... am not looking forward to that one bit!
