Hi all! I know there's a June/July thread but I've started this one as I'm so far behind everyone else and wanted to find others at the same stage as me!

We're due to start a FET after a failed fresh cycle in march resulted in a CP. We got 5 Frosties which I'm so pleased with and we're putting two frozen ones back this time.

AF came yesterday, so I'm booked in for scratch on 24th of this month and start DR on 22nd.

I joined a thread on my last cycle and it helped me so much as I am very private with all of this. So I'm hoping to find others to share with again 😊

Leanne so you have to mix up the drugs yourself? What was your plan, was that prostap until period and then the jabs?
I'm prostap and nothing until 7th then jabs. Quite a wee wait.

Floo I don't know if it's all in my head but exercise is tough, I'm really finding it a chore and feel so heavy. Have done 16000 steps including my combat class and could crash and burn without dinner and that is not like me. My world centres around food.

BiscuitBill · 27/07/2017 18:47

I had to mix mine last time too! It's very daunting but not as bad as you think, you feel a bit like a mad scientist though 😂
I'm an emotional wreck anyway so it doesn't really make a difference to me haha OH is used to it! I think it's because I bottle everything up so if I see an injured dog on the tele I just lose my shit & cry for hours! It's a perfectly healthy way to live your life I swear 🙃

Yeah I did prostap then onto menopur injection when AF arrived till Wednesday when I go for blood and scan to see how I'm doing! I had to mix up the solution yeah it was nerve wracking as we r going private so expensive mistake if I mess it up x

thegamblersmrs · 27/07/2017 19:00

Leanne ok so a wee bit different in that I go for a scan before injections.
Bill sure sounds great way to live ha ha. Better than me. I hate confrontation and telling people how I feel so I sulk until I can sulk no longer and then I cry and babble through the tears.

I'm on a knife edge tonight, there's nothing in for tea and I've no idea what to do with myself about it!

Leanne1185 · 27/07/2017 19:00

Gamblers I'm not sure what the difference is but there are short and long protocols so maybe I'm short and ur long? 🤔

ChoChang · 27/07/2017 19:10

Did anyone else not get really emotional while injecting? I remember being absolutely exhausted during the day and then crazy insomnia at night, and being super thirsty, but I dont remember feeling more emotional than normal. Although my fresh cycle was 18 months ago so perhaps Ive got a selective memory!

I had to mix my own too, except the trigger, didnt know it was an option not to! I guess it depends what drugs were on.

Nowwhyareyoucrying · 27/07/2017 19:41

Yes Floo, I have a pen for the gonal-f (I think this is the stimulant) which is fine now I've got used to it. Although I did bleed this morning a tad, I don't really know what went wrong. But the Cetrotide (antagonist which stops ovulation) I have to make up myself, it will be my first time doing it in the morning Confused

I'm on short protocol, I think a lot of you are in long protocol (except maybe Leanne?)

Leanne1185 · 27/07/2017 19:47

Think you're right crying, mine should all be over with within a fortnight so it seems very quick! I am dreading the 2ww and sooooo scared of bad news, feel like I can't take anymore! Having a vulnerable night tonight 😢

thegamblersmrs · 27/07/2017 19:53

I'm on short protocol. Once I have scan it should all be completed in 14 days.

Chang I'm very thirsty too, wondered what that was all about!

ChoChang · 27/07/2017 20:27

Im short protocol too, should be starting around 10th August I reckon. Just desperate to get started now, time is really dragging. Having my drugs increased significantly from last time to try and get more eggs, so bit nervous as to how different it will be.

thegamblersmrs · 27/07/2017 20:31

Aw Leanne, I've no words of wisdom. It's so crap thinking it doesn't always work. That's what our bodies were designed to do, reproduce and carry young. It's crazy to think it's so much of a struggle.

I always thought (when I was younger) that ivf was essentially a cure and although it was grim I thought it always worked. How wrong!

FloofyFloo · 27/07/2017 20:47

Chang and gamblers the thirst is insane! I can't believe how much I'm drinking! Nearly 3 litres today which is so so much more than I normally drink!
Gamblers 16k steps is masses! I'm now on 9k... Including my run Hmm clearly I need to be a bit more active!!! I might go for a little walk with the doggy to make up the other thousand... Maybe... Please say someone else on here is as lazy as I am???

thegamblersmrs · 27/07/2017 20:51

Floo, do you have a sedentary job?

The only reason I do my target of 15k steps daily is because I walk a lot in work. I do 9-11k in work. I lost certainly don't do them every day when I'm off.

In other news my washing machine is leaking and I'm looking at the big sticker on it that tells me where to phone to activate my guarantee which I've not done! It's 6 months old!

thirtyplusone · 27/07/2017 21:52

Hello everyone

So much to catch up on here! trying to not read too much whilst I waited for my colposcopy today.

So tired, feeling sick and in quite a lot of discomfort. From investigation it doesn't look like Treatment but we need to wait a week for biopsy now.

The worst bit is knowing I have to do it all again in 6 months. Pregnant or not!!

A smear has NOTHING on this evenings activity and dear lord why do they need to show you what's happening on an enormous flat screen. No one needs to see themselves in that way Hmm

Goodnight all. Hope you're all doing very well. Fingers crossed we can carry on in a weeks time. Looking forward to catching up on this tomorrow x

Leanne1185 · 27/07/2017 21:54

Haha gamblers I'm usually such an active person but the fact Iv watched 3 seasons of peaky blinders in 3 days says otherwise at the moment 😂😂 I ended up calling my best friend who has knocked sense into me and I'm feeling a bit more positive now! My plan tomorrow is to eat healthy and try the gym in the morning as it's affecting my mood this being lazy lark xx

thegamblersmrs · 27/07/2017 21:57

Word of warning. Don't watch the documentary on London fire brigade. af just started and crying buckets!

Leanne1185 · 27/07/2017 22:06

Haha thanks for the head up 😂 Sometimes u just gotta let it out 🙌🏻

BiscuitBill · 27/07/2017 22:15

Gamblers I watched & I cried 🙈 but like I said no difference for me I would have usually cried at that anyway!

Floo I'm with you sister! I don't do any exercise at all apart from walk my dog.. when I can be bothered lol! He's only a small dog so doesn't need a lot but we have fields behind us to I do try and take him for long walks.. it's been raining this week though (that's my excuse & I'm sticking to it!)

Thirty hope you're feeling ok after today's events! Bless you. Fingers crossed for you you can pick up where you left off next week 🤞🏼

Leanne1185 · 27/07/2017 23:08

Here's one of those questions that you don't want to ask ur clinic incase it's stupid! When injecting do u ladies alternate sides? Iv only done my left side once and it was sore because of the angle I did it haha x

FloofyFloo · 27/07/2017 23:38

thirty that sounds like good news? Sorry it was horrible and needs to be repeated though! Fingers crossed Flowers
Gamblers I'm a teacher so normally get 5-7k done at work, but today I was in doing sorting and such like so was mainly sitting. My problem is I'm lazy when I get the chance to be - I wish I had motivation to move more!
Biscuit I have a springer spaniel who I walk maybe once a week... She's never alone so doesn't seem to need more walls than that, which is a shame as I got a doggy for motivation to exercise more!!!
Leanne my clinic advised me to alternate, or now to do one on each side. I find my left leg is harder to do as I have to wriggle about a bit to get my hand in the right position if that makes sense, but pain wise they're equivalent, and actually my right leg has started to bruise so I'm obviously not actually better at doing it there!
Currently my DH is adamant that don't need to use contraception and is demanding I ring the nurses to check... Because that's not an awkward question at all!!! (He has used contraception because I'd rather be safe and he dies listen to me, but he doesn't half complain about it!!!)

Ps - within a year pretty sure you can tell them to fix appliances regardless! Good luck!

chivintassle · 28/07/2017 00:13

So I've been driving for the last 4 and a half hours, and I've missed so much!!
I started using just the right leg last time, until it was so bruised DH made me use the other leg too. Although this clinic said to do tummy and that kinda freaks me out!
Last time I did it in the morning (set alarm clock for 15 mins earlier btw!) and this time they say evening 🤔
Glad didn't see programme I'm such a woose (sp!) that I can't watch animal hospital and yes I cried at Scott and Charlene's wedding (showing age now!)!!!
Re protection, I was told to be careful before the scratch, can you imagine, you'd never forgive yourself, but the rest of the time I'm of the opinion that it hasn't happened naturally yet so why would it now, but that's not scientific!!
Sounds like everyone is progressing as expected, tired, emotional and all the joys of chemically changing our bodies 😂

P.s agree re washing machine as mine has just broken after 18 months, only used at weekends, part is £2 and they wanted £190+vat to fix it. I told them to do one! So now I have part and no DH until weekend to fix it 😂 And they said oh if it was 12m it'd be in warranty... and you can pay £25 a month for 18m now to extend warranty, again I told them to do one 😂

thegamblersmrs · 28/07/2017 06:40

Leanne not that it will help you but illl ask my clinic when I go on 7th re alternating- thanks.
Re contraception we were told we had to use it and no DTD after ec and et. To be honest (overshare) we haven't DTD since my last period. Think we both needed a break. Needs to feel about us again which it hasn't in a while.

It's Friday!!! 🤸‍♂️😜🎊🎉

chivintassle · 28/07/2017 08:03

Yes we were told not to DTD after EC or ET, your body needs to be stable so no big O we were told. I think the other part is you're open to infection for 3w after EC (no bath or swimming either)
TFIFriday! Wfh today which makes it better!! Although no 🍷To look forward to tonight 😢

Nowwhyareyoucrying · 28/07/2017 08:09

We haven't DTD deed since af either. I considered it last night and then promptly fell asleep. It's a bit weird actually.

I did my first cetrotide this morning, got in a pickle because it had air bubbles in and managed to squirt some liquid out. I'm hoping it won't matter but will ask today at my scan, I'm looking forward to seeing how my ovaries are doing. I think I need to be more patient and flick the air out, but I got all panicky....Blush It also came up in a red rash/mark afterwards. Hope that's normal, didn't hurt though.

thegamblersmrs · 28/07/2017 08:39

So glad I'm not the only one not DTD!
What's wfh?
