TTC 18 months or more -moving on to IUI/IVF/ICSI part 3

We have relocated from the conception board where we were previously chatting under the thread 'ttc for 10 months or more'. A lot of us are now long term ttc-ers and are going through infertility treatment or looking to take steps in this direction so we feel this might be a more suitable home for us!

I had my 2nd blood test. My number is going up but still lower than they want so the clinic is worried it's ectopic. I have to go in Monday morning for another blood test and a scan to try and find where it is. I just want to know now. I found this site that calculates hcg changes. I'm right at the minimum level. I can't believe I have to wait another 3 days. I also had a tiny amount of bleeding today. Just once when I wiped an hour ago. Another sign of ectopic. I'm pretty sure now this will end, I just wish it could have ended at home over the phone today instead of at the clinic with a dildo cam up my vag on Monday. Don't even think my dh can come as he's on night shifts at the hospital. Fml.

Oh god blue I'm so sorry. I really hope it's not what you think but I can imagine how worried and scared you are. Will be thinking of you.
I'm back home. 6 eggs - same as last time. Obviously wish there was more but got to go with what you get. DHs sample wasn't great - they said count was low but they had enough for us to do IVF. Just hope they do their stuff with my 6 eggs now...it's all so much waiting and hoping whichever sage you're at...

Gee remember quality over quantity.

AF arrived early today. My cycles were always pretty regular 27-ish days, but last 3 have been 23, 31 & 24 days. Feels a bit like 2 steps forward & 3 steps back.

blue I'm sorry lovely, have you got a friend who know to go with you? If hog haven't told people and you want company I'm happy to come if you're not miles away. I wouldn't want to face it alone.

Thanks everyone. I think DH is going to try to get off work so he can come. I've been up since 5am as I just can't sleep. It's just horrible to be in this limbo.

Hi yes am lying bed waiting for the call. Feel ok. A bit more tender than last time and my boobs are killing me but fine in myself. Off to a garden party later and planning on having a drink seeing as I'm in between EC and ET. Did anyone else do this or am I a terrible mother already and risking my cycle?

Blue I had the same a few months ago, unfortunately was ectopic. When we found my hcg wasn't going up normally I remember the dread of limbo :( It's utter rubbish. Big hugs to you.

Uggghhh... the world can be a cruel place. I'm sitting here waiting to go to my appointment at the clinic to see if my pregnancy is ectopic and thought I'd send a card to my friend who lost her baby at 20 weeks. It seemed appropriate to send a thinking of you card. When I went to open it...it was a Mothers Day Card in disguise! I don't think I'll be sending that to my friend.

Thanks everyone. I've been at the hospital for 2 trips totalling more than 7 hours today. They still don't have any answers but still think it's likely ectopic. I'm back on Wednesday for more bloods and scans. They didn't offer any hope. It's likely ectopic or just an impending miscarriage. I got to be pregnant for 1 week. This is all shit.

What a shitty day ☹️ I'm so sorry it's not yet resolved. I hope your OH is looking after you and making a big fuss and you can keep distracted as much as you can. Keep talking, do you talk to your mum or friends? Take good care xx
