We have relocated from the conception board where we were previously chatting under the thread 'ttc for 10 months or more'. A lot of us are now long term ttc-ers and are going through infertility treatment or looking to take steps in this direction so we feel this might be a more suitable home for us!

Feel free to stop by and say hi and hopefully we can share the journey together and make it a little easier along the way!

blue I don’t feel too bad considering! Have to go in at 6:45am tomorrow, I just feel SOOO tired partly because of the drugs but mainly as my clinic has me up at 5am every day! Sorry to hear about work, you don’t need that whilst going through everything else!

Hope everything went well orange! X

orangefolly · 25/05/2018 19:52

Well that didn't go quite as I'd hoped Sad

This cycle is cancelled as my follicles didn't make enough progress, so more waiting and then on to a medicated FET cycle, starting with down regging on day 21. I'm SO sick of all the waiting and disappointments, and I know I haven't even been doing this as long as many.

Ttc1london · 25/05/2018 20:03

orange I’m so sorry to hear that! We all know how you feel, it’s always waiting and waiting. Maybe try and do some things you couldn’t like have a drink! Go for a run etc and get yourself in the best place for next month. If my progesterone doesn’t drop then I may be freezing my embryos if I have any, so I will be waiting too and fully intend to have a lie in and drink some champagne!

bluebird3 · 27/05/2018 18:44

orange so sorry to hear that. A cancelled cycle is sooo disappointing after everything you e already been through. Hope you're taking your mind off it with a nice weekend. The waiting is a killer. We can barely bring ourselves to 'try' naturally anymore after 3 years. We usually only manage to dtd twice around ovulation. The test of the time it's if we want to but gone are the days of smep or daily throughout ovulation. In some ways it's easier to be fully off the trying roller coaster than every month gear up and then be let down. Keep yourself busy and hopefully it will come around soon. Thanks

Thanks guys. I have had a good weekend. Gone swimming, had some wine. Celebrating my DH's birthday.

bluebird oh god yes, the TTC sex. It's my favourite thing about IVF that we can stop 'having to' and just do it when we actually feel like it.

ttc I hope your progesterone is okay in the end. That was the reason I ended up having to freeze all the embryos before this cycle. So annoying! I just keep trying to remind myself they are giving us and our little embryo the best chance possible.

Ttc1london · 28/05/2018 12:44

Hi all

Had my collection this morning, I got 24 eggs, who knows if they are mature/ good yet. feel really sick but ok! X

PonyPals · 28/05/2018 13:13

Wow that is a lot of eggs! Hope they all fertilise Smile
Take care of your self and drink lots of water when feeling bloated.

bluebird3 · 28/05/2018 13:21

ttc that's a great haul!! Fx you'll get some lovely blasts from that lot. I second drinking loads of water, as much as you can. If the pain gets bad have paracetamol with co codamol. It's the only thing that touched the pain after my hyperstimulation.

Ttc1london · 28/05/2018 13:52

Thanks both. I’m sure lots won’t be mature but as there were quite a few they are going to do half IVF and half ICSI just to see if there’s any difference even though the sperm was fine 🤷🏼‍♀️. pony how are you getting on?xx

PonyPals · 28/05/2018 15:08

I'm ok. Just can't sleep and it's already midnight. Keep worrying about the blood test tomorrow. Sad

PonyPals · 29/05/2018 09:05

It's a BFP for me ladies... for now!
The HCG is a bit low at 91 as the clinic wants to see it at 150 and above. Re testing again on Friday.

Ttc1london · 29/05/2018 09:35

Amazing news Ponypal!!! Mine started at 26 so 91 is far more promising!! fx for Friday!! Xxxx

Ttc1london · 29/05/2018 10:27

So I had 24 eggs, 19 mature and 12 fertilised. 6/7 they did ICSI on so luckily they did as only 6/12 fertilised with IVF, borderline rate they said, maybe that is part of our unexplained problem!

orangefolly · 29/05/2018 13:55

Omg congratulations Pony!!! Keeping my fingers crossed your HCG levels continue to rise. That looks like a really strong positive!

Ttc that's still a lot of fertilized eggs. Hoping you get a good number of blastocysts from them. Did you hear about how your progesterone level has got on?

Ttc1london · 29/05/2018 14:35

orange I think they are aiming to transfer this week so I am guessing they were ok but will re test on transfer day!

Ttc1london · 01/06/2018 09:09

How is everyone? pony good luck today!!!!

Has anyone else been really sore after EC? They were worried I would get OHSS due to the number of follicles so put me on a drip but I’m now Day 4 after and I am HUGE and so so bloated and tender? Meant to be having transfer tomorrow but not sure they will do it after a scan/ I can deal with any rummaging!! Has anyone else had mild OHSS, hoping I have a miraculous recovery today or will be freezing the lab children tomorrow.

bluebird3 · 02/06/2018 12:28

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been busy with having guests this week.

pony that's fantastic! Congrats! How did your blood test go yesterday?

ttc I had mild ohss and was quite tender but they said it would t effect transfer. I had read that it can actually increase your chance of implantation but the downside is if you get pregnant the symptoms take longer to go away. If it's really bad they might cancel the transfer. How are your embryos doing? Let us know how you get in today!

How's everyone else doing?

OP posts:
bluebird3 · 02/06/2018 12:29

*wouldn't effect transfer

orangefolly · 02/06/2018 12:41

Hey everyone.

Sorry to hear you're feeling really sore still ttc - I felt really bad a couple of days after but then felt better. Hope they manage to sort you and you get to do transfer.

I have started downregging now for next cycle's medicated FET. I do not like the nose spray! Didn't have to do it before because I was on short protocol. However, I haven't noticed much in the way of symptoms yet. No hot flashes. I'm maybe slightly grumpier? Smile I also found out I got a new job, which I'm really excited about, but it means farewell to my nice understanding manager who was really flexible about letting me disappear off for appointments. If all goes according to plan next cycle, I will have the transfer before I move jobs though. Massive fingers crossed!

How are you doing with the wait bluebird - how long til you can start the next cycle now?

Ttc1london · 02/06/2018 13:07

That’s exciting orange! I know, it’s so much easier when you can disappear easily!

I finally feel better today thank goodness as I had my transfer this morning, 2x 5 day blasts so FX!

I still have ten in the lab so will find out tomorrow if any are going to become blasts and be frozen, they wouldn’t give us any indication at all on their expectations so I just hope we get a couple for future use.

Hope you’re all ok and surviving this, we aren’t alone x

bluebird3 · 03/06/2018 10:15

Glad you had the transfer and it went ok ttc. Hope you're feeling less sore today and that you get some Frosties.

orange I've never down regged either. Maybe I'll have that my next cycle? I don't know when it will be yet. My dr wanted my TsH to be under 2.5 for at least 12 weeks. I don't know whether to count from when I was given thyroxin or from monitoring bloods that show under 2.5. It's probably smart to wait for option #2 but if that's the case I haven't even started ticking off 12 weeks yet. Blood test is in 3 weeks and will hopefully be

Ttc1london · 03/06/2018 12:46

With regards to downregging orange I had the suprefact I had to inject for 2 weeks I didn’t have any symptoms except spotting the whole way through! Apart from that it was pretty hot (about a month ago) so I was always hot! X

PonyPals · 04/06/2018 12:02

I am officially pregnant the levels came back at 698.
5 weeks today and the first scan next Wednesday!!!!! Still in shock!!!

Ttc1london · 04/06/2018 12:33

Amazing news pony!!!! So so pleased for you and this gives us all hope, what was your background again prior to this round of IVF?
Xx

PonyPals · 04/06/2018 12:48

Thanks @Ttc1london

Had my first IVF ICSI in 2015 - 2 blastys. BFP - DS is now 2.5 and the other frozen.
Transferred our Frosty from the expensive clinic to a one that was way cheaper but unfortunately a FET with them ended up being a BFN. Completely different care through the process too!
This time around decided to go back to the 'expensive' clinic and did ICSI, transferred and this is the BFP. Have 4 more frozen but they are being PGS tested.
Has been Male Factor for us but my AFs have always been all over the place too... so who knows.
