We have relocated from the conception board where we were previously chatting under the thread 'ttc for 10 months or more'. A lot of us are now long term ttc-ers and are going through infertility treatment or looking to take steps in this direction so we feel this might be a more suitable home for us!

Feel free to stop by and say hi and hopefully we can share the journey together and make it a little easier along the way!

Pony 18 Is Fantastic ! They do tend to drop off so please do not be disheartend. Out for lunch the same day!!!! ( I had gotten home laying on the couch because i couldnt manage the stairs with my head in a bucket, Hot water bottle on my stomach and pain killers for the horrific pains in my Vag!)Ha Ha
Sounds like you are coping fantasticly! How many fertilised ? Smile

Angel If no luck next time has donor eggs been suggested ? Or is it not your cup of tea?

Ttc1 Yay let the jabbing commense !

Blue Does your truck have its winter spike tires on ?.. Mine has ! Grin If i didnt laugh i would cry. Thats rubbish hopefully your meds sort it sooner rather than later. I know the feeling. I told myself i would wait a bit and have a break but i really want to go back as soon as possible.. But realisticly i know that the break will benefit me. Could be a possibility that we might cycle around about the same time though! Smile

PonyPals · 16/05/2018 04:58

@ScottishJaggyNettle I went out to lunch straight after but for the last 2 days haven't gotten off the couch.
Just feel sooooo bloated and windy and still pain down there. Hoping that it will get better by transfer.
8 have fertilised but will not know how many blasties until transfer day I think.

ScottishJaggyNettle · 16/05/2018 22:45

Pony 8 is fantastic are they day 5's and day 6rs or just day 5's ?
( Fertilised on the first or second day?). If you are still sore and feeling a bit unwell tell your DR they can give you advice. You dont want to be unwell for transfer. Flowers

PonyPals · 17/05/2018 01:55

They rang me the following day to tell me how many fertilised (in the morning) so I guess that would be 1st day.
Transfer is on 5th day and they will also take some to day 6 to freeze.
I will see how I feel tomorrow and let them know

Ttc1london · 17/05/2018 07:07

Good luck pony!
On day 3 of stimms here, still alive but as I am at ARGC I have to go in EVERY day at 7:30am so am barely functioning now zzzzzzzzzz

angelazul · 17/05/2018 20:05

@pony all sounds really positive, best of luck with transfer.

@ttc hang on in there, it'll be over soon enough.

@scottish donor eggs haven't been suggested, & tbh it's not something that's even ok my radar atm. But I guess that could change if plan A doesnt work.

Still waiting on getting fc appt sorted, getting more & more frustrated Angry

orangefolly · 18/05/2018 13:46

Oh god Ttc1 that is a lot of early starts! I am not a morning person so hated the early morning scans.

pony that's great news - keeping fingers crossed for you that you get a good number progressing to blastocyst. I felt really rotten for 2 days after EC but then much better after that, so hoping you are feeling better already!

blue I'm sorry to hear about the TSH. Waiting bloody sucks!

scottish totally get the wanting to go back asap. But I guess only you will know how you're feeling and if a rest might be a good idea.

I had my baseline scan for my frozen cycle yesterday and it all looked good so we are on for a natural FET this month! Back for my next scan to see how my lining is doing on Monday.

Ttc1london · 18/05/2018 14:23

I am now on the max dose of fostimon and they want to add clomid and therefore viagra! Has anyone else been on all of this? I ovulate naturally normally and have gotten pregnant 3 times so it seems like after down reg I am needing A LOT to get going again..

@orange Exciting news orange!! I have never had FET. Do they put it back in when you are naturally ovulating? Sorry if I sound stupid :-) is it otherwise a natural cycle?

@pony how are your snow babies doing?

orangefolly · 18/05/2018 17:29

Yes it's pretty much a natural cycle, except you get a trigger shot when you're close to ovulating, apparently so they can time it right. Then they put the embryo in 7 days after that, so it's at the right amount of development for your cycle.

Ttc1london · 18/05/2018 18:20

Wow orange! FX!!!

ScottishJaggyNettle · 19/05/2018 00:22

Pony im sorry about my last message because i was talking absoloute rubbish about the fertilisation on day one or two. They fertilise over the day/night and some blast on day 5 and some take a little longer to day 6. I was on painkillers when i wrote that message. They are strong and i get a little LOT confused. So sorry for talking utter rubbish! 😂

Angel I did not mean to upset you with that question so im very sorry if i did. The fact that they have not talked about donor eggs with you is possitive and must mean that they are expecting a few from you next time. How many did they collect last time?

Orange I had a medicated FET last time i always wonder how they do a natural FET i thought they just pop it in with no meds when your lining is thick enough ... so i have learned somthing new today! Smile FX for you!

TTC1 The early mornings are brutal ! Hang on in there hopefully it will all be worth it Smile

angelazul · 19/05/2018 07:37

@orange all sounds very positive, keeping fx.

@ttc fx the additional drugs wake your ovaries up again.

@scottish no need to apologize at all, others have asked the same question, & it might be something we have to consider further down the line. We only got 1 immature egg last time round, & our consultant has only given us 10% chance of success, even with a change of protocol. But 10% is better than nothing.

Finally got appt at fc, it's not until 22 June. We already have holiday booked for start of August, so in all likelihood we won't be able to start until after that. I know it'll prob go in quite quickly, but it feels like ages away. I was ready to start another cycle in March & it feels like we've wasted a couple of months waiting on the fc Angry

PonyPals · 19/05/2018 11:42

Hi ladies!

Finally have a chance to post. I am officially in the 2ww!
Had a beautiful (they gave us a picture) emby transferred today 4BA.

We have 6 still going. 2 will most likely make it to biopsy and the other 4 are 50/50.

Hope you all are doing really well Smile

Ttc1london · 20/05/2018 12:51

Congratulations pony, it looks beautiful!

I had a scan this morning and the ovaries are awake, plenty of follicles on each side for now! Am now taking suprefact, clexane, fostimon, clomid, viagra and aspirin! Doc said aiming for collection next weekend, I have a wedding 🙈. FX for all of us in the next few months and weeks xxx

AidaD · 20/05/2018 19:16

Hello ladies...
I'm new to this site...
I'm a 36 y/o..i had 4 ivf ...3 negative and one misc.
I still have 5 embrions to transfer...i will start again next month the treatment...i need to wait for my cm.
I'm with Wolfson fertility clinic on Hammersmit Hospital ....did anyone have been there .
I'm very frustrated because our infertility problem is a male factor...but still not succesfull by now.
Any advice....or any other clinic?
I'm thinking that if i continue with the same clinic they try different treatments options and eliminated one by one...they will found one good for me.
Let me know any of your experience...if are necessary other investigations.

AidaD · 20/05/2018 19:20

All my embrions are a high quality...they said that all are top quality compare with my first cycle .

orangefolly · 23/05/2018 17:57

Pony how are you getting on with the two week wait? Hope it's flying by for you.

Ttc still on track for egg collection this week?

Hi Aida not sure what to advise. I am at the Lister Clinic, which I really like, although I don't know if their success rates are any better than the Wolfson.

My 'natural' frozen cycle is not going well - I went back for another scan today and my lead follicle had actually shrunk since Monday! I ended up seeing the Doctor, and he said they would give me until Friday and scan again, but otherwise they might try medicating me. It turns out I have too many little follicles growing so a lead one isn't developing. It's very strange all this focus on the egg considering we don't actually use it, but apparently they need ovulation to occur to get the hormones right for the lining. Urgh, IVF. It's taking over my life!

Ttc1london · 23/05/2018 18:39

Hey orange! I hear ya! I had to go to ARGC (my clinic) 3 times today over 4 hours and I was at work! Nightmare! On so many drugs it’s unreal!

Orange-
Take the drugs and get this done, that’s my advice :-) fingers crossed it all progresses by Friday for you!
I think trigger will Be Friday so collection on Sunday, I have a wedding on Saturday so cutting it fine! They are worried I’m now progressing too fast and am on double cetrotide along with everything else. Got about 17 follies atm, probably all hollow knowing my luck!

pony-how are you doing?

bluebird3 · 23/05/2018 21:02

It sounds like it's getting quite exciting for several on this thread. I've been slammed at work this week so sorry for going quiet. Good luck for everyone in active treatment. Keep us posted! xx

Ttc1london · 25/05/2018 06:22

Thanks blue! I hope you are ok too?

Keeping my FX for you pony!

orangefolly · 25/05/2018 08:43

Trigger day for you today ttc? Eek, exciting!

I'm back for another scan at lunchtime to see if I've made progress or am switching to medicated or even cancelling cycle. Really hope I've had some progress!

Ttc1london · 25/05/2018 10:53

I have a scan at 12 but think trigger will be tomorrow at yesterday buggiest was 16mm and I have 24 follies now (17 on one side ...) so being careful of OHSS!

Good luck at your scan! Xxxx

PonyPals · 25/05/2018 11:53

Good luck @orangefolly and @Ttc1london things are really happening for you! Looking forward to hearing when your EC is.

@AidaD welcome and glad to see that you have high quality Frosties.

AFM today is 6dp5dt and I don't think I will be lucky this time.
No symptoms apart from just feels like AF is about to begin.

Trying to be positive but realistic and I'm not even tempted to test early. Just don't want to actually see the one line... if that makes sense.

Ttc1london · 25/05/2018 12:11

FX Pony! You just NEVER know x

bluebird3 · 25/05/2018 18:35

ttc wow! 17 on one side? Ouch! So you feel really bloated? Fx you avoid hyper stimulating. What's your oestrogen level? I'm good thanks. As I'm still min 12 weeks away from treatment it feels very ho hum st the minute. I had some work drama where someone complained about me and a colleague but we had the proof to back up what we've been doing. So that was very stressful even though we hadn't done anything wrong. Grrrr. I'm quite busy with work but looking forward to half term off next week.

orange how did it go? I hope you don't have to cancel!

pony I've seen so many stories of ladies who were sure they were out but they weren't. I think it's self preservation. Fx for you. What day is your OTD?
