Hi Smile

I noticed there's a IVF thread for March/April and now June - but no May.

My egg collection is scheduled week commencing the 15th May. On my next period (due around 3rd April) I have to go down for my bloods.
Anyone else?

Ah sorry to hear that maple

lily yes I'm taking a high dose of Vit D - currently 2000iu. I was taking 4000iu for a while as my levels were a bit low! I need to have another blood test soon to see if I can go down to a lower dose. I've got a spray from Holland & Barrett which is 1000iu per spray. It's meant to be more easily absorbed than the tablets I think.

sweetdee sorry you're struggling with the 2WW. Not there yet but planning to have a week off to relax...can you do something similar? Or do something nice this weekend to take your mind off it?

Lily35 · 05/05/2017 16:03

Thanks for that Flirty - I've just brought some tabs do upped my dose to 1200iu - hopefully that's ok. Plus I'll get my legs and arms out in the sun whenever I can

Sweetdee6 · 05/05/2017 16:14

Flirtygertiefromnumber30 thanks! Ive had this week off except today, back in work to take my mind off of it, then its my birthday tomorrow so will be occupied and celebrating! Its just such a mental game! xx

Lily35 · 05/05/2017 16:26

Good luck Sweetdee! How you feeling, and symptoms?

Lily35 · 05/05/2017 16:26

Any*

Sweetdee6 · 05/05/2017 16:46

Thank you so much Lily35!! This weekend is supposed to be sunny so hopefully that can help you with the vitamin D!

Today is Day 4 of a 5day transfer so implantation is well under way! I feel super bloated (looking like 4-5 months preggo which doesn't help!) and my breasts are very swollen and sore. I am also very emotional but that could all be the progesterone pessaries I'm taking so trying to stay grounded but positive! :) x

maplebaby · 05/05/2017 17:28

Just had the call - I can start stims! Grin feeling relieved and excited but nervous. Will be on 300iu menopur.

I was recommended vit D lily but can't remember how much and I think it's in my prenatal... I will check and get back to you!

Chivin i don't think I get he option of time lapse with NHS so can't help unfortunately.

Blackcherries glad everything is ok and on track! I'm jealous about the tablets! Do you still carry on with buserelin though?

Sweet good luck with your 2ww! Sounds like you have lots of nice things planned.

chivintassle · 05/05/2017 17:54

maple that's great news! You must be relieved!
I'm NHS with option to pay for this which we've taken.
sweetdee good luck and have a lovely birthday weekend

maplebaby · 05/05/2017 19:37

That's interesting chivin did you ask about it or did they offer it??

Question! I forgot to ask but do you take the buserelin and menopur at the same time or am I meant to do them at different times??

flirtygertiefromnumber30 · 05/05/2017 21:33

Great news maple!

Happy early birthday sweetdee, and good luck!

I think mine is a high dose because my level was still a bit low lily but I think 1000iu might be the 'normal' recommended dose for IVF so sounds like your supplement is good!

laurelstar · 05/05/2017 23:55

Hi chivin can you tell us more about the time lapse system?

Hope everyone is well and having a good start to the weekend!

broodynmoody · 06/05/2017 12:01

Hi ladies, went for my bloods yesterday and when I phoned back in the afternoon I couldn't get throughSad
Just waiting for Monday now to have my baseline scan. It's going to be cycle day 6 and I'm just fretting it's a bit too late. They wouldn't let me have it on Friday as I hadn't been on the buserelin 14 days by then. It's 14 days today so God knows what there doing Confused
maple that's brill news anther step forward!
sweetdee have a brill birthday weekend
laurelstar I'm counting down the minutes til my weekend is over for my scan on Monday lol

Yorkshireyogi · 06/05/2017 15:06

Hi all!
Broody-I guess the clinic must think day 6 would be ok...
Maple-congrats off the starting block!
Sweet see-welcome-good luck-must be exciting to be at transfer but the wait I imagine is excruciating!
Black cherries - glad scan went ok

Hope everyone else ok and sorry to any I've missed-just catching up!

AFM still waiting for AF-day 39 now. done all the usual things to bring it on-you know-going out with out tampons, doing a preg test (neg obv) etc but no joy. Annoying as suspect the PCOS is playing up again now so could be months before it comes-my stress levels probably not helping!!

tickingcl0ck · 06/05/2017 17:58

Hello everyone,

I think i made my first post on a mar/apr one. I am new here, my husband and I are grateful to all stories shared regarding ivf as it has helped us both emotionally and physically to prepare. We are doing our first ever ivf cycle (nhs funded) and having our egg collection next week.

flirtygertiefromnumber30 · 06/05/2017 19:49

Hi tickingcl0ck! Good luck next week, hope all goes OK.

Sorry you're having AF woes yorkshire, really not what you need right now...have the clinic said anything?

tickingcl0ck · 06/05/2017 20:45

Thank you flirtygertiei am excited and scared at the same time. My ovaries are about to pop. I miss being able to sleep on my right side.

Ash75454 · 06/05/2017 23:43

Hi all
Just caught up on your chat.
FET scheduled 24th May. Had my scratch on 26th April and also planning to transfer 2.
I had my Fresh cycle postponed after egg collection in December and one failed FET in Feb.

Frankly I'm finding the whole process so frustrating already, I clearly don't have much patience!
First time I've joined a group and would love having some company from you lovely ladies as we all work our way through our May cycles. Fingers crossed for everyone.

Luxnuova · 07/05/2017 04:49

Hi all, mind if I join? I've just started stimming for my first cycle of IVF. I'm on a short protocol, which seems to be relatively standard at my clinic - private one, in NZ. I was super nervous about the whole thing, but was pleasantly surprised by how easy the injections have been. Only done two so far, though! I'm on 300 iui Gonal-F, then Orgalutron (sp?) from next Tuesday. I already feel incredibly bloated, but maybe this is my imagination, I fluctuate a bit anyway. I'm a bit apprehensive about how all the next stages are going to play out, so would be good to share some of the blow by blow stuff with others who are also going through it.

laurelstar · 07/05/2017 09:23

Hi Lux welcome to the thread! If you're feeling bloated that means it's working Smile

maplebaby · 07/05/2017 09:52

Thanks everyone Smile injections are ok but some are bruising - can't figure out why as I use the same technique for them all! Worried I'm going to run out of space!

Welcome ticking, ash and lux! And good luck!

Lily35 · 07/05/2017 10:00

Welcome everyone!
Beautiful day today - I'm off to get some vit D from the sunshine Grin

broodynmoody · 07/05/2017 14:14

Hi to all who has just joined us. Seems like everyone EC is slowly creeping up on them.
I have my baseline scan tomorrow and if everything goes okay I'll start stimming. It's put my EC back til 22nd May but hey ho it'll soon come by Smile

tickingcl0ck · 07/05/2017 14:24

I just had my hcg shot last night and my husband and I are on the watch for symptoms of OHSS. Aware its usually after the egg collection but as it is, my tummy is so bloated that even laughing can be a pain. Fingers crossed for everyone and heres hoping for the best :)

tickingcl0ck · 07/05/2017 14:25

broodynmoody i hope your baseline scan goes well and they give the go signal to start stimming.

broodynmoody · 07/05/2017 17:17

Thanks ticking hope everything goes well with your EC.
