Hi Smile

I noticed there's a IVF thread for March/April and now June - but no May.

My egg collection is scheduled week commencing the 15th May. On my next period (due around 3rd April) I have to go down for my bloods.
Anyone else?

I am doing good, physically feel really well and enjoying exercising again. Taking loads of supplements.
I'm requesting next bleed (24 July ish) but I'm also going into see the private fac to see if I can transfer my last cycle. I've been looking into private ivf as well in case I need it after this one. And looking at ivf abroad. So I've been busy busy busy :)
Good luck Elle for scans. Glad you pregnant ladies are doing well x

Good luck for trigger shot Karen! Do you have pregnyl? I remember winding myself up about mine and was really nervous but it was so easy in the end to get the vials sorted.

79Karen · 11/07/2017 13:30

Thanks Lily they've just phoned to give timing etc however did you still do your usually bureselin jab as well as the trigger? They've told me to do this but it seems odd, I will give them a call to double check. I'm ovitrel

elle77 · 11/07/2017 13:52

Hi Karen, I still did both the down reg and stim injections the morning that I did the trigger in the evening.

79Karen · 11/07/2017 13:58

Ok thanks Elle I panicked a bit. Have left a message to double check, I know I should trust what they say but it feels critical if I get this wrong

Lily35 · 11/07/2017 14:08

Yes Buserelin too - you still need to keep the natural cycle down regged while they medically stim you x

79Karen · 11/07/2017 15:23

Thanks both, that's reassured me it's because I've been having my scan etc at a satellite clinic and they said it was my last bureselin yesterday and then the place where I go for ec phoned and said the opposite.

Nisha19 · 11/07/2017 15:39

Hi Ladies,

Thanks Elle and Ash. I had my scan yesterday and the follicles are bigger than before. Right ovary follicles are doing well, there are some on my left side ovary too but they are small. they told me to continue with injections and my last day is today (woohoo). Trigger injection tonight and for EC on Thursday. I'm so nervous as I have never been sedated before. I'm so glad that its progressing but just worried as I don't know what to expect. Anyone her had an EC before? Do you feel any pain after?

Thanks

79Karen · 11/07/2017 15:47

Hi Nisha you're the same as me and I am also feeling as apprehensive about it all. I've had a general anaesthetic before but not a sedation, I've been told that I will be conscious but drowsy and I won't feel any pain. But yes pretty scared about it all

elle77 · 11/07/2017 15:54

Hi Karen and Nisha, I had never been sedated/general anaesthetic before EC either- but is was great! I don't remember anything at all and was actually snoring!!! I remember them telling me about the drug but the next thing I knew I was in recovery! It was amazing.

Lily35 · 11/07/2017 15:58

It's fine ladies - you won't remember a thing! It's so good. I was sick afterwards but that's because I gobbled my toast and am weird :) Grin

Nisha19 · 11/07/2017 16:07

I wish it goes the same with me on EC, to wake up not knowing anything. Will keep you updated how it goes on Thursday. I've taken Friday off too, so I'll be resting the whole weekend.

Lily35 · 11/07/2017 16:21

Good luck :)
Resting is definitely good - hopefully you won't be too sore x

79Karen · 11/07/2017 16:35

THank you Lily and elle I hope I also just fall asleep and wake up when it's done. Also have Friday off. Good luck Nisha

Lily35 · 11/07/2017 16:48

They monitor u all way through so if they think you are waking up too much, they just give you more sedation. It's nice waking up after sedation - it's just like a big nice sleep, whereas GA is awful to wake up from.

Lily35 · 13/07/2017 07:30

Good luck today Karen and Nisha!
Looking forward to your updates on eggs x

79Karen · 13/07/2017 08:13

Thanks Lily we've just arrived, not feeling too nervous. Fingers crossed

elle77 · 13/07/2017 08:17

Good luck.

Ash75454 · 13/07/2017 13:03

Hope all went well today ladies.

79Karen · 13/07/2017 14:30

Thanks all, all done, it was very smooth was awake for all of it but pretty spaced out. Didn't feel any pain. I got 3 eggs, was hoping for more but I'm just pleased we got something, I knew my response to the drugs hadn't been great. Home now and feeling quite nauseous and crampy, hope that goes soon. Will hear tomorrow how fertilisation is going and if we have any goers. If so looks like it'll be a day 2 transfer as they won't want to risk it with such a small number, but we'll see. Good luck little eggys

Nisha19 · 13/07/2017 15:52

Hello all! Thanks Lily, Karen and Ash!
Karen hope you feel better!
All went well today, I was sedated so was knocked out totally. Woke up not remembering anything. I feel a bit crampy now that's all. It is slow ongoing pain. I've been resting all day today. They retrieved 2 eggs and I was hoping for more. But as they say it's the quality not the quantity. Finger crossed for tomorrow! Hope all goes well with you Karen!

Lily35 · 13/07/2017 16:19

Well done ladies :) I have full faith in your eggs and they are always better back in the natural environment to become the blasts you need :)

79Karen · 13/07/2017 16:20

Looks like we're in a very similar boat Nisha glad you found the procedure ok. I was fairly chirpy beforehand but they gave me a temazipam which probably helped. The nausea is passing now which I'm pleased about. Fingers crossed for our eggs

79Karen · 14/07/2017 09:08

Just had the call, 1 was immature, 1 didn't fertilise but 1 did! They want to put it back tomorrow to give it the best chance. Crikey this is so nerve wracking.

Lily35 · 14/07/2017 09:26

Good news Karen! You get to have a transfer :) I'm so pleased. It only takes one! Is that day 3 tomorrow?
