IVF in May/JUNE 2017..cycle buddies!

Hi

I noticed there's a IVF thread for March/April and now June - but no May.

My egg collection is scheduled week commencing the 15th May. On my next period (due around 3rd April) I have to go down for my bloods.
Anyone else?

No wonder I feel so horrendous...

moggle no way how exciting!! I should be having my early scan within the next couple of weeks. I got 2 put back so hopefully fingers crossed ill be in the twins club!

ash and maple I'm doing okay thanks, just plodding along. My anxiety is even worse now, constant knicker checking and googling! I'm 5 weeks tomorrow and hopefully soon ill get a scan. constant weeing, period like pains. h0ow are youse doing?

Yes sorry I wrote that and then went away to meet (and tell) my best NCT friend. We did have two transferred so not totally unexpected, but still a big big surprise. I had a hunch the last couple of days, as well as this awful sickness I can feel my uterus already. but DH was very very surprised he thought there was no way. These were kind of the bottom of the barrel of our embryos as well - pretty poor grading although still good enough to freeze back in 2014. It's going to take us a little while to get our heads around it... we need a new car and will have to buy a lot of new stuff. Eek. Got another scan in two weeks.

We are excited don't get me wrong but having had DD it's a bit daunting at the thought of going through it all again double!! Some bits I barely coped with one! It'll all be fine though! broody fingers crossed for you to join me!

Hi all! Enjoying reading the positives here today. I'm just getting my head round it all...can I clarify something. When you start your period do they start the drugs then and do the egg collection on the same cycle? Can't seem to get the info and at last appointment nurse wasn't the most helpful! New to this form stuff too!

Hi Nic welcome to the crazy land of ivf. Each clinic seems to be slightly different, for me I was put on the pill on day 1 of my period, they are then in control of your normal cycle. Usually about 21 days of being on pill you start the down regulation injections and then once they're happy with that you can start stims (about 2 weeks later). I've just started dr and have been told to expect my next period by the weekend so the drugs will throw out your usual AF cycle but it's all controlled and monitored

I wasn't sure if they could tell at your early scan if it was one or two. We had two put back as well so will wait and see. My scan is 27th.

broody I'm doing good. A little quesy at certain parts of the day and a little emotional today but otherwise all good. same crazy nerves as everyone else. Another difference for the books, my clinic count me as 5 weeks since last Friday even though we both transferred day 5's the same day?

ash i honestly don't know but i thought from the day of transfer your 2 weeks and so on. Are u getting cramps? Like period pains? I'm getting them on and off all the time.
moggle what a surprise especially they weren't top grade. Once it will sink in you'll be fine.
I got 2 4bb blasts transferred so I'll know in a few weeks hopefully. I don't have any children so id love twins!

broody I get a couple twinges occasionally. otherwise I get that lower abdomen lower back ache feeling coming and going some days. Some days feel fine no symptoms at all. Continuously second guessing ever pain or non pain!
I did tickings trick on it and last week tested on a digital it said 2-3 weeks. When I tests again Sunday said 3+. Gave me a little reassurance. My clinic says to do one a week until scan so going to use digitalis for them and make sure stays 3+.

I wonder how different this experience would be if we hadn't been through this wait and all the joys of IVF.

Hello friends , can I join in? I'm a newbie here. A lil abt my ivf journey,29 year old, ttc for almost 5 years now, initially it was unknown infertility and they they diagnosed with male factor issues with my hubby with quantity morphology issues , with all hopes we directly went into our first ivf in Dec 2016 , they transferred one blastocyst and bfn 😔😔 nothing to freeze as well, starting my next cycle this month, this times it's a long protocol for us, have done Ann endometrial biopsy last month followed by Dow reg, now it's 10 days with buserlin nasal spray, I just see some spotting today, have my first scan on 15th June.

Hi Hopes how has DR been? I'm currently Day 4 and am feeling a little tired and a bit emotional today, I can't decide if it's the drugs or that I'm just feeling a little anxious about the whole process (my first round)

DR is okay so far, will know it tomorrow if I'm responding well, this is my first long protocol so I'm quite nervous, I have a question here, yesterday I just got some spotting and then over the the night and today it has not turned to a full bleed neither spotting, it's kinda scanty, I'm worried if this is an issue, my clinic will start the mess only day 2 of a full bleed, how was yours?

Did your clinic put you on the pill? Mine did and I still have 3 pills to take. I double checked and was told to finish the course and then expect AF shortly after. But I've had spotting for the last week too which concerned me. My clinic only scan after 2 weeks of DR so mine is 26th then if they're happy I start stims that day

What was the pill for? I was not on any, on 31st may I have an endo scratch. I have been taking oestropham from day 1 of last cycle and started progesterone after 26th may , stopped both on 10th June, I also started by buserlin nasal spray from 31st of may, 4 times a day 2 sniffs. The clinic said I can expect my bleed on 15th June , but I got it yesterday itself. And the bleed is not like my usual one, it's lil scanty 🙃 Will ring my clinic today

Hi hopes I would definitely ask for 2 blastocysts to put me put back on your next round. Especially if you have non good enough to freeze, I did and now I've got a bfp on my first round

Congratulations on your bfp! How exciting! I would certainly ask for 2 blasts this time around. But my clinic has some policies for more than one blast transfer. Need to check on that! I am really hoping for this cycle

Yeah I'd give them a call. Your procedure sounds very different to mine, I was put on the contraceptive pill and I've been injecting burserlin but I only do that for 2 weeks before starting stims?

Hi hopes I was also put on pill so a little different to you but wanted to let you know I didn't get a 'normal' bleed after my endo scratch it was darker and lighter flow sorry for the info but FET went ahead as planned and BFP on that attempt. Check with your clinic cause like i say we had a slightly different outline but try not to worry.

I'm 6dp3dt and very crampy. It feels very like I am going to get AF any minute - it's awful. I wish I could enjoy this part a little bit more.
