IVF in May/JUNE 2017..cycle buddies!

Hi

I noticed there's a IVF thread for March/April and now June - but no May.

My egg collection is scheduled week commencing the 15th May. On my next period (due around 3rd April) I have to go down for my bloods.
Anyone else?

Moggle - yes am on NHS nd taking 2 progesterone a day, well a take them two b4sleep cz doctor told me dat best cz den it won't leaking during De day. First wen a woke up on Sunday nd went toilet everything was fine den a had coffee well without caffeine nd a felt dis pain under ma stomach on lest nd ryt side a guess sumwer near ovaries? Dis pain a hv always wen am at to start bleeding on period.. BT a tort it's can't b period, from transfer day a few bloated on and off so a tort maybe sum air stuck der dats u, a went toilet had a pee nd whipe ma self nd saw blood BT after maybe 30 min later it's start b lyk too much bright red blood den abt two clots sized small egg a guess, De blood didn't soak ma full pad just in one place was too much blood so a was need change pad every 2-3h den b4 bed a just had lyk Lil bit spotting nd brown discharge, yesterday had just brown discharge today morning a had more lyk brown/greyish discharge BT a fink dat greyish colour was cz of dis progesterone mixes wid brown discharge. Atm it's clean, on Sunday wen a stated bleeding a had sum period cramps BT maybe only for abt max 2h on and off... A rang today to ma clinic cz they see ma 6th week scan it's on Monday BT ma 6th week supposed to b on the Friday.. Cz on De 16th a had transfer then they gave me blood test app on De 26th (Friday) BT didn't had no1 to take me der cz they moved it till 29th (Monday) so wen a rang der nd told dem dat a need scan on Friday cz dat my 6th week nd am soo worried to wait till Monday they sed sorry Friday is fully booked nd a must wait till Monday.. Nw a scared weneva a feel sum twinges or wen a go toilet.. Nw ma breast still hurt BT a guess it's anyway cz ov all dis medication
Am on estradiol tablets two twice a day, one fragmin injection nd two progesterone

Did u passed sum clots? Did u rang hospital did they checked u???

Lily 5 is brill, how many eggs are you allowed to have transferred?

atikakck going on from what moggle said, I've had two miscarriages from natural conceptions so no progesterone or anything, the first started very slowly with light brown spotting working up to full on flow after a few days. The bleeding though went on for a good week and the cramps were pretty horrid like really bad period pain I also had a very sudden loss of symptoms but had a positive pregnancy test for about 10 days after even though the line was getting fainter each time. I think bloods at this stage will be the best indicator, if that level has gone up from other day that's a good sign

akita this time no I didn't ring the hospital, no clots (that is why I am not so worried, especially as the red blood was only visible on a couple of toilet trips and it wasn't very heavy. I was sure it was all over to start with but as yesterday went by and no more blood I felt ok. My clinic would do done blood tests if I wanted but so far I am ok without them.
It's so horrible dreading going to the toilet, dreading what you will see.
I think if you can't get blood tests, then waiting til Monday for the scan will give you a more definite outcome than Friday. If it's exactly on 6 weeks, you may not see a heartbeat even if everything is OK so it will be more waiting.
Big hugs. The waiting is awful. This whole process is waiting, waiting, waiting.

Great news Lily about 5 eggs- lets hope they are all big strong ones that can be transferred (or frozen)! Keep us posted!

I had a scan yesterday and we postponed EC until Thursday (give them all an extra day cooking time!)

I'm so pleased you gave info on EC- I've never had sedation or GA before so I'm pretty nervous! DP is pretty useless with needles and procedures so even mentioning it to him makes him pale and faint!

Moggle and Atikakck- it sounds like an emotional roller-coaster for you both at the moment- keeping everything crosses for you.

I told you head was mashed :) lots of luck for Thursday. The sedation is actually fab :) you'll be asleep and fine!

Karen - they only allow 1 to be transferred but if I get to thurs and they aren't doing so well then I'm going to push for two. (If I have 2 that is!)

Moggle - r u taking them aswell two b4 sleep or one morning one nyt? Cz a taking it b4 sleep maybe dats wrong? BT a asked doctor nd he sed better to take two b4 sleep xx

I do one morning one night. My clinic has always said to do it that way. I guess that way keeps the progesterone level more even during the day, whereas with two before bed maybe the level goes higher at night but lower before the next dose? if the doctor said it's OK I'm sure it is.
Plus I am doing them rectally this time as find vaginally too messy and I imagine two up the backside at the same time might be a struggle!

I do 2 progesterone a day as well one morning one evening. But like moggle says if your doc says two at night must be fine. So many variations in treatment plans across the group.

An FYI if it helps reassure anyone at a later date (please note the following contains TMI) I had quite a lot of crinone residue come out today and a lot of it was pink in colour. Apparently all fine can be quite common.

On the different treatments, I've been put on aspirin now I've had HCG blood result from clinic. Anyone else been advised to take.

Feels a bit like they're just putting me on everything to cover all bases.

atika i take mine 2x a day one in morning and one at night. Have you asked your Doctor why they suggest using 2 at night? Maybe theres a reason for it.

ash I had that panic last week! Im on progesterone pessaries and had an orangey discharge come out and I blamed it on the paprika crisps I ate the day before. After 2 days it finally resolved but geez that was scary. I just googled and saw some women get it and the range of colours differs but it can happen. Sounds like your clinic is making sure everything is covered with you. Whereas I feel like I've just been doing it on the blind. Thank goodness for Google.

So after last Sunday of ma heavy bleeding wid big clots they just did normal pregnancy test... De bleeding last one day den a had just brown discharge till yesterday started getting rly dark brown den b4 sleep start hv sum blood den today in morning a started bleeding wid dark blood hv sum pressure on ma left side under ma stomach... So a rang hospital nd they sed day don't matter a hv 6th week tomorrow cz they fully booked nd dat bleeding nd cramps r normal nd just hv bed rest nd wait till Monday..... Dat was rly "helpful"....

atikaI would have gone berserk if they told me that then take a cab to the nearest urgent care clinic. If they wont help me, ill find someone who will.

As for me all i want is to be able to soak in a bath!

They took me in on D3 transfer because one was good. They wouldn't risk taking to D5. My other 4 were rubbish apparently but they allowed one crap one in as well.
Happy but a bit sad too. I am pleased to get to this point but this maybe why we have been able to do it ourselves before - bad egg quality? X

lily thats wonderful news! Next hurdle is the 2ww! I am pleased for you. Did they say the grade of the embryo? Were your pre tests ok before you started your cycle? Like his sperm, your hormones and all? With mine, it was a combination of adenomyosis and his poor sperm quality.

Yes all has been ok - and therefore unexplained.
Embryo was 433B - is that good?? X

Ooooh never heard of a 3 number then a letter embryo grading before. My clinic explained mine which was just 3 letters (BBB) on the day of ET. I think lux had a one number, two letter embryo grade. All i know is A is best, B is good and C is okay heheh

maple, broody how are you two doing? No symptoms here I think. I'm a bit tired by evening in work but then I did take a lazy week and a half holiday between transfer and test so just getting used to being back to full days I reckon.
