Hi Smile

I noticed there's a IVF thread for March/April and now June - but no May.

My egg collection is scheduled week commencing the 15th May. On my next period (due around 3rd April) I have to go down for my bloods.
Anyone else?

chivintassle · 02/06/2017 10:36

broody congratulations! That's great news. And to the others I missed over the last week, sorry.

AFM I kind of knew last week that it hadn't taken, I had a few down days and just knew. It's weird how you know. So the test today just confirmed it for us. Oh well, was a long shot. Now for a plan to try a more actively managed and monitored go.

Best of luck to those still going this round!

chivintassle · 02/06/2017 10:38

ash congratulations! I didn't refresh, so didn't see your post! Fab news!

Ash75454 · 02/06/2017 12:08

Sorry to hear chivin. It's disappointing when it doesn't work out. You still have your frosty so fingers crossed x

blackcherries · 02/06/2017 13:59

huge congratulations Broody and ash! Fx for sticky ones.
And chivin, really sorry to hear. Allow yourself a bit of time to be miserable (if that's what you want) - I'm not sure I did last time and it hung over me for a while.

moggle · 02/06/2017 17:16

Congratulations broody and ash! Fantastic news.
chivin sorry to hear that. Fingers crossed for your frostie when you decide to use that xxx
I'm sooo tired. DD keeps waking in the night with nightmares and I just want to sleep. Tomorrow she's staying with my parents so we can go to a wedding but I think I might come home after the meal and first dance and just sleeeep in blessed peace!

79Karen · 02/06/2017 17:39

Sorry to hear that too chivin I hope your frostie is the one. And congratulations Ash did you have a 5dt?

I hope the rest of the ladies are doing well :)

maplebaby · 03/06/2017 06:50

Hi all, so sorry I have been AWOL... have been finding my 2ww really tough and been lying low (although it hasn't stopped me obsessively googling everything!).

Welcome to the newbies!

Karen glad you op went ok and you get to start so soon!

I'm so sorry to hear about your BFN lux and chivin SadFlowers please look after yourselves, will be thinking of you.

Ticking did the clinic have you in for a blood test?

Blackberries, atika, broody and ash - congratulations!! So thrilled for you all! Are you all waiting to call the clinic or will you wait till OTD?

AFM, my OTD is 16dp5dt so Thursday. However I caved and tested this morning (11dp5dt) as I didn't want to do the test on a week day... well for the first time in 2.5 years I got my BFP! I did a CB digital and got 2-3 weeks. Shaking and feeling very anxious as next step is to wait till OTD and it's obviously still very early days. Hope you don't me lurking to follow how everyone else gets on xxx

tickingcl0ck · 03/06/2017 08:03

Congratulations maple i am sure you are over the moon!! Keeping my fingers crossed on official test day! Not long now! Would your clinic do blood tests and then scan or just scan?

i decided against asking for blood tests as i would just let it be....even if i did, i felt like i would still obsess about it until the scan. What i did though was do a CB digital test and when i tested last week it said 2-3weeks, and now it says 3+ weeks. So that should be enough to keep me quiet until my scan.

I just found out yesterday that there are NHS hospitals offering 3 full cycles of free ivf treatment..that makes such a massive difference to those who are only given one chance to do so. Thats very unfair.

maplebaby · 03/06/2017 08:11

Thanks ticking and I think you are probably sensible about the blood test. My clinic just does a scan I think, no bloods which might be why the OTD is so long.

I'm off to buy some more tests now!

I think the 3 cycle thing is by your ccg so mine does 1 fresh and 1 frozen whereas in Camden it's 3 fresh 3 frozen. The postcode lottery absolutely shouldn't exist. We all pay national insurance and taxes, it's unfair some are penalised just because of where they live.

Ash75454 · 03/06/2017 09:04

maple great news congrats.

Karen I tested 9dp5dt

Had to do another test this morning to make sure yesterday wasn't some fluck! Result still there. ticking that was a good plan with the digital def put your mind at ease. The nervousness doesn't stop when you get a positive had such a bad night sleep last night too.

You wonder how they decide on where the NHS funding goes. I'm in ROI so zero funding over here all self funded but they do cap the drugs cost at €144 a month so that helps a bit.

Lily35 · 03/06/2017 15:07

I'm freaking out.
EC is Monday!
My trigger shot is worrying me - what if the glass vials break, or I have the wrong time, or I spill it all or the syringe breaks??

broodynmoody · 03/06/2017 15:26

Lily you'll be fine, take your time, try not to over think it.
maple congrats. My clinic will only do scans too. Hopefully I'll have mine on 3/4weeks time

JessicaJones1 · 03/06/2017 15:31

Lily you are just like me. I worry about everything. But as Broody said you will be fine. Are you having a general anesthetic for the EC? I'm just reading my info pack again now. It's a lot to take in! xx

Lily35 · 03/06/2017 16:01

Hi Jessica
Just sedation - I hope it makes me sleep!
Thanks Broody, I do overthink things far too much! Think I'll leave OH to it :)
Nervous but excited!

JessicaJones1 · 03/06/2017 16:14

Lily I can't get over how much IVF seems to differ from place to place. Are you going private or with the NHS? I'm having a full on general anesthetic when I have my EC in about 5 weeks. xx

Lily35 · 03/06/2017 16:59

Doesn't it just!
I'm with the NHS (I have 2 rounds - v lucky). My clinic does things differently from others - but it's great for these forum as I get lots of info and advice from others!!

JessicaJones1 · 03/06/2017 17:24

Yes I agree - this forum is brilliant. I've been on here a lot over the past few days! I'm with the NHS too and can have up to 2 rounds. Good luck!

Lily35 · 03/06/2017 18:17

Are you on long protocol? Not long till you start :)

tickingcl0ck · 03/06/2017 19:13

its absolutely ridiculous that majority of NHS hospitals don't follow NICE guidelines. and here I was thinking we were awfully lucky to get nhs funding approved. In a sense we are, but in case this round didn't work out, we would be left paying for it out of our own pockets. and ash I hope they relax on the rules for the sake of other hopeful couples out there

question about progesterone: are you guys planning to carry on using it? For now I understand we're on 2 pessaries a day...but if they tell me to stop at 3months I think I will carry on taking it but at a once a day thing up til 6months and then every other day after that. I'm reading so many stories and that yes the placenta should take over by 3months but sometimes we dont produce enough progesterone causing to miscarry. It doesn't hurt the baby to keep taking it either.

welcome to the thread jessica wishing you a fruitful outcome in this journey :)

congrats on EC lily! how time flies! when I did my trigger, as I pulled the syringe out, I felt a spray of liquid on my tummy and worried that I wasted a bit but all worked out in the end.
