Hi Smile

I noticed there's a IVF thread for March/April and now June - but no May.

My egg collection is scheduled week commencing the 15th May. On my next period (due around 3rd April) I have to go down for my bloods.
Anyone else?

Congrats blackcherries.

I'm the same broody waiting this time is so tough.

We have a friend visiting for the weekend too. Has been planned for ages since before our last transfer. she's here Friday til Monday. My OTD! Thought about early testing before she gets here Friday which would be 9dp but can't decide if it's a good idea or not. Crazy I'm so nervous about this test already.

Anyone much info on HCG levels at blood test. Lots of different info on what the value should be and the range seems huge. Someone else said I should want to see at least 150 at first test and to repeat a few days later with GP to make sure it's doubling as expected.

Lily35 · 28/05/2017 14:50

Omg congratulations Blackcherries!!! That's amazing news! How you feeling?

Elle how you feeling on stims? I'm day 4 and feel no different. Had an ovary ache the other night and nothing since. Hope it's working.

blackcherries · 28/05/2017 21:34

thanks all, feeling fine and positive :) even though I know it's still early days.

tickingcl0ck · 28/05/2017 22:06

hello everyone, sorry we have been moving house but I have been reading to keep myself abreast with everyone

lux im very sorry to hear that news. I don't want to be banging on the hope drum but do you think 6dp5et is too soon? I was a negative at day 6. Thinking of you as you go for your blood test tomorrow.

to the ladies who are PUPO, broody, maple, ash, chivin my fingers are crossed for you during these times. It wasn't easy but knowing earlier on also gave me a sense of relief. I rang the clinic about my result by Day12 already even if it wasnt OTD.

lily, elle, i hope you are side effect free during the stimms! I sure as heck dont wish the headaches and fatigue I felt with them, but then every woman is different and there are various stimming drugs out there

blueberry the gonal F is a breeze compared to the DR meds and yes I was scared too at first as the needle was much longer than the other meds..good luck on your journey!

karen thats great news about your DR starting so soon. I truly hope it will be the last obstacle for you

and for those with the BFP, moggle, blackcherries, congratulations! I was ecstatic and then fearful at the same time coz I've read all the possible things that can go wrong thanks to Mr. Google but still hopeful. I am waiting on my scan on the 22nd to see if there's actually anything there. Did your clinics tell you to get blood hcg's done? Just curious as mine didnt even offer. Don't know if its due to being NHS or them just not using it too reliably. Will ask when I see them

i hope I havent missed anyone, if I have, call me out on it Blush

Ash75454 · 29/05/2017 08:09

Hi ticking

My clinic brings you in for blood HCG on your OTD. My acupuncturist suggested I also repeat it with GP a few days later.
Might be worth considering booking one before 22nd? I'm assuming nurse will do it at any doc surgery.

broodynmoody · 29/05/2017 09:06

Ash i wouldnt like to test when theres someone in the house too, people do get strong positives at 9dp5dt. Im holding out til Sunday, boy is this week going to drag.

Thanks ticking im hoping to be moving house soon i don't envy it but needs must!

tickingcl0ck · 29/05/2017 13:31

ash thanks for that. I will ring them tomorrow to ask if i can schedule myself for an hcg and just pay for it. It is for peace of mind. I rang my GP and they said no need for hcg test :/ and i should just go online and self-refer to a maternity hospital of choice :/ i should have insisted.

Atikakck · 30/05/2017 19:33

blackcherries · 30/05/2017 20:41

atik - scan in two weeks is probably a heartbeat scan, an early pregnancy scan as I think you'll be 6-7 weeks? Is there anything specific you're worried about? Sometimes no news is good news...

79Karen · 30/05/2017 20:56

Got my revised timetable today, can now start DR on 11th June with possible collection early July. I just wanted to thank everyone for their support on here, it's been a great group to be part of. Good luck to those with their BFP's, those waiting in the tww and those going through stims. I'm gonna move into June/july group but I'll pop back to see how you're getting on. Lovely getting to know you all, I wish you all the luck in the world xx

Atikakck · 30/05/2017 20:57

Blackcherries - Well they didn't even told me wich week am I... Nurse just send in two weeks scan nd dat a must still take all medicine as usual, she just gave me prescriptions to get more of dem so they can last meh two weeks till scan, BT for example dis estradiol a usually took 4 a day nd she wrote 3 a day so today a rang her nd ask how shall a take dis cz she see as usual BT wrote 3 a day nd she see to meh dat a told her dis.. Lier lol
Is dat scan is wid full bladder?

A did read abt girl going for dis scan nd found out derz nuffin nt obviously a always fink abt negative things.. Lol

Lily35 · 30/05/2017 21:08

That's great news Karen! Good luck :) keep on touch !!

moggle · 31/05/2017 10:13

Congratulations blackcherries! So exciting. Hope you're feeling well.

Lux I'm so sorry your test was negative :-( I hope you find out more about ARGC. Have you been on the fertilityfriends website? There are lots of clinic-specific threads on there.

Atika I have a scan in a couple of weeks too, they can see if there's a heartbeat and that the embryo is in the right place (ie not ectopic). Not much we can do until then.

Can take more tests but I don't think they are very useful really and just stress me out more (I did that with first pregnancy).

Ash our clinic doesn't do blood tests routinely, they just go by pregnancy tests. So at least that's one thing I've never had to get stressed out over! That's tough with your friend here. I don't know what to suggest really :-( every option has downsides!

Atikakck · 31/05/2017 13:19

Moggle - so they do heartbeat scan etc in 6th week? Dis scan is dat one.wer a need full bladder? Or the other wide empty bladder?

A tort they do heartbeat scan in 12th week

moggle · 31/05/2017 13:35

Hi, so at 6/7 weeks the embryo is just like a little grain of rice, and it flickers - that shows there is a heartbeat. We have some photos from with DD, and it is just a white blob :-)
It is a vaginal scan like the scans during the treatment. You don't need a full bladder (in fact at our clinic they usually say to have an empty bladder because sometimes they have to push around a bit with the camera which can be uncomfy on the bladder)
At 12 weeks, it's a 'standard' pregnancy ultrasound done over the belly. That's when it looks like a baby and you can see the arms and legs and things. They can see it moving and they measure the 'nuchal fold' which is one of the tests for chromosomal abnormalities. But the baby is still too small to look in detail.
At 20 weeks they do a much more detailed scan to check that the heart is working correctly, the limbs are the right length, they can identify cleft palette, etcetera. And they can tell you the sex if you want to know.

Atikakck · 31/05/2017 13:59

Moggle - thank u soon much for explain cz no1 in hospital told me anything..

Thank you x

Lily35 · 31/05/2017 17:00
