Hi Smile

I noticed there's a IVF thread for March/April and now June - but no May.

My egg collection is scheduled week commencing the 15th May. On my next period (due around 3rd April) I have to go down for my bloods.
Anyone else?

Thanks all! Official test date is today which is 11dp 5dt. I know some clinics wait a crazy long time. I guess it rules out chemical pregnancies but it can be useful to know that, I suppose.

Blueberry1 · 26/05/2017 12:17

@Broodynmoody - have you thought about trying a topical treatment for your rash e.g. cortisone cream? Good luck for trasnfer.

@moggle - hope BFP sticks.

@Ash wishing you a fruitful 2ww

Got meds delivered yesterday. Started norethisterone today. First scan a week on Monday, then start injections (fridge is full of Gonal F; DP says it looks a bit scary!).

broodynmoody · 26/05/2017 17:34

Hi everyone
Just a quick catch up as I have limited internet by the sea! Hope Everyone in their 2WW is doing ok! Fingers crossed for you!
And Moggle!!! Congratulations!! And so pleased for some positive news :)
I'm on 2 days of stims and been sunbathing and feeling good. The headaches have gone now which is good.
Elle - enjoy the hen do! I had a hen and a stag (don't ask) recently and I got away with not drinking by ordering mochtails and drinking tonic water with fresh lime in. Both look the really deal.

Lily35 · 26/05/2017 18:23

And hi Jess and Blueberry! Not sure if you are same poster or not sorry! Hard to keep up on the posts when I have rubbish internet!!

Lily35 · 26/05/2017 18:39

Karen - how was the op!? Hope you are recovering ok. Did they give you an update? Hopefully this might give you more of an idea on what to do going forward. I think (as someone else said) it does come down to age as well. For me, I am now 36, so would want to move on with assisted treatment as I've waited too long now and feel like time is no longer on my side. However if I was the age when I first started TTC or even a year on- I would maybe take some months to TTC naturally for a bit. IVF is a big step and if you can do it naturally then fab. But if it doesn't, you'll be completely ready to get stuck in and know you've done everything else before you got to that point.

Hi

Congrats moggle great news.

Welcome jess when you due to start? might not be much between you and blueberry

How are all on 2ww?

lily sounds lovely, sun shining here too and makes everything seem better.

Good news here, hubby accepted a job yesterday starting back Monday. been nice having him home the last few days actually. He's been very attentive and we've taken a few road trips and seaside walks yesterday and today. Great for passing time.

79Karen · 26/05/2017 22:29

Thanks for asking Lily op went well, all done and good news I can start the pill again so 21 days time, fingers crossed to start DR. Only a small delay so very pleased. I'm 38 so really ready to get cracking and not waste anymore time.

Ash75454 · 26/05/2017 22:48

Glad went well Karen and that you have a decision on go forward plan. Good luck.

Luxnuova · 27/05/2017 03:30

Ugh, well this is a post I didn't want to write. I had some very light spotting, and did a test to confirm what I already know. BFN. At 6dp5dt, I think that's pretty much certain. I have a blood test on Monday, but at least there won't be any residual hope now. In a way, I think I got over the worst of the grief of it when I had that first instinct that it hadn't taken. Now just feel a bit empty, numb. Had a cry. Now feel weirdly relieved that the last of the limbo is over. Don't quite know what to do as we're self-funding and the hope is sort of diminishing. I'm 38, we're totally unexplained secondary infertility. I have a lowish AMH at 9.5, but still pretty viable, we got a good-grade blasto - just don't know why it hasn't taken. Is it just random, or something more? It's just hard to keep the faith, I guess. Anyway, will keep lurking on the thread a while and sending hope and good vibes to all of you. Thanks for hand-holding and support.

Lily35 · 27/05/2017 07:23

Ah Lux so sorry to read this this morning. I hope you are ok. Hopefully after a day or two you can decide a plan to move forward.
Sending you Flowers x

Karen - 21 days is nothing! You'll not be far behind at all. Glad it went well. X

broodynmoody · 27/05/2017 07:53

Sorry to hear that Lux how many blasts did you have on board?
I'm 3dp5dt and im already symptom spotting - though im not usually a symptom spotter. Keep getting twinges and getting dark residue Blushtheres no saying this is implantation or Aunt Flo breaking her way through.

Ash75454 · 27/05/2017 08:40

Sorry to hear Lux sending hugs your way.

The test Monday may be able to give you a little more info, then have your meeting with consultant before worrying about any decisions. X

chivintassle · 27/05/2017 08:58

Ah lux I saw this and wanted to post straight away, so apologies to missing others, I'll read back later.
I'm gutted for you lux i agree that I think you get that instinct. I had that on Wednesday, achey pains more like AF than previous implantation pains. I ordered 'it starts with the egg' if there's a next round I am definitely going to get any embryos screened prior to ET. I have also just spent £££ cutting out Phthalates, sulphates, parabens and plastic and moved to organic shampoo, face wash, moisturiser, foundation, soap etc. I've binned all plastic in the kitchen incl takeaway boxes for storage, chopping boards, bottles etc, and moved to wood and glass. Next mission is house cleaning products... the book is really interesting, it may all be for nothing but I want to know I tried everything. I'm 39 with AMH of 6.6. The next round will probably be the last. That's why I asked about if anyone was at ARGC as want to get immunes done. Is there anywhere in NZ which do them? I don't want to give you hope, just saying what my route will be if get BFN. I don't know how this works but PM me if you want. Thinking of you and DH. Xxx

79Karen · 27/05/2017 09:59

Lux hugs coming your way, the disappointment is horrid, whilst I've yet to go through the ivf process I've lost 2 very early pregnancies and it's just a horrible feeling. Give yourself some time to get your head around and then decided what you want to do next.

Luxnuova · 27/05/2017 11:18

Thanks so much, guys. Really moved by your kindness and support. I will be in touch chivin - just going to take it easy tonight and get my head around it. Much love to all. Glad to have shared this part of the journey with you. x

blackcherries · 27/05/2017 13:35

Sorry lux. Do you think that's late enough to test and/or are you planning on testing again on official test day?

Beebee07 · 27/05/2017 19:02

Hi hope I can join this thread and get to know all of you. I'm currently on day 2 of menopur 150iu. I have pcos, first cycle with injections was a bfn, second was cancelled on day 17 as no mature follicles, hoping 3rd time lucky! Looking forward to getting support and reading all your stories hoping we all get the outcome we want! Xx

broodynmoody · 27/05/2017 19:52

Hello BeeBee welcome. I have PCO and have just hadmy first round with 150iu menopur, currently in the 2ww.
Whens ur egg collection date?

Beebee07 · 27/05/2017 20:00

Hi broodynmoody how did you find the menopur? On the previous two cycles I had no side effects but I've only ever had 75iu hopefully I don't get ohss! I'm currently doing iui, I get 6 cycles with my clinic before ivf but this will be my first iui fingers crossed if everything goes to plan. First cycle was meds and timed intercourse and this time will be iui so I'm hoping this doesn't count as our 3rd cycle x

broodynmoody · 27/05/2017 21:09

The menopur wasnt too bad, i was on alternative doses pretty much, one night 2 vials then 3 then 2 and so on. They will monitor your bloods no doubt they will monitor you. Obviously IUI is a lot different from IVF so not sure how this thread for IVD can be much help. IUI has so such lower success rates than IVF, i was tempted but then decided against it. Hope your one of the lucky ones Smile

blackcherries · 28/05/2017 06:19

Morning everyone. I caved and tested early (9dp 6day transfer) with a FRER. Slightly in shock as I got a beautiful clear 2nd line! Obviously delighted but still have that really cautious feeling...like it's still everything to play for.
Main symptom for me was since a few days after transfer I've had excess salvation and a slight metallic taste. I had this with my first pregnancy (although no idea then it was a symptom of anything).
This was a frozen transfer (after fresh icsi cycle), I had a scratch and used embryo glue but I wouldn't put it down to those necessarily... I'm a bit more chilled out than in my fresh cycle and not suffering with a bug or mild ohss like last time when I felt really quite grim, so think my body is better prepared.

Btw haven't told DH yet as he's away till later today!
Good luck everyone testing tomorrow and next few weeks.. And to those just starting.

Beebee07 · 28/05/2017 07:27

I've never had my bloods monitored it's just been scans on cd7 and then every other day once the follicles are growing, is blood work meant to be included? Fingers crossed on iui, I need to do 6 cycles with my clinic before IVF so hoping it doesn't come to that.

broodynmoody · 28/05/2017 10:00

Congratulations blackcherries really pleased for you!! The wait is killing me, i said id wait til Sunday (11dp5dt) but really dont want to!
