Hello,

Is anyone else about to start a cycle?
I start down regulating on Sunday, estimated embryo transfer week beginning 21st Nov, this will be my first round of IVF/ICSI after 3.5 years trying to concieve.

Mixture of emotions, excited to be starting after waiting so long to get here, nervous about side effects of drugs and injecting and terrified it wont work! The joys of infertility!

Xxx

Fluffy so sorry, be kind to yourself over the next few days x

I hope everyone can enjoy Christmas, and I really wish any of you wanting to have another cycle in the new year the best of luck.

Thank you all for being there over the last few months, this cycle was definitely a lot easier to cope with than my first when I had no one to talk to who understood the process.

Hi all* - as others have said, you have all made this process much easier to cope with, and while it sadly didn't work out for me, I'm so pleased for those of you who did get BFPs - and I hope that all continues well with your pregnancies Blue, Sara, Kez & Custard*.
And to those of you like me - Hope, LoPI & Fluffy - I hope you are all ok and as Hope said - maybe see you as cycle buddies again and this time I hope we all make it to BFPs.
Merry Christmas everyone & thanks for being such a lovely bunch xxx
(And if I've missed anyone off, I'm really sorry, hard to check back on my phone!) xx

Hoping we all have chilled Christmases, and have great things in 2017!

I'm now booked in for follow up consolation on January 17th, and hope to start a second round end of Feb.

LoPI - we have follow up consultation on the day before you - but won't be starting again (if we do) until April... which I'm dreading as I'll be 40 by then... :,(
Fluffy, hope you are ok, and your blood test tomorrow is ok xx

Quick question - I am now about CD12 if the pfh starting was cd1... apologies for tmi here, but I've been dry as a bone down there til today - now have quite a bit of EWCM, but streaked with blood... pfh ended about 5 days ago... is it normal to have some bleeding at random times after ivf failure, or should I be contacting the clinic? I've never had spotting around ovulation, only just 3-4 days before my period... thanks x

Hobbes an IVF cycle totally shakes up your natural cycle so early/late AF is not unusual. I had 46 days between cycles, normally regular 30 dayer! The IVF process basically resets your system (which I think is why some people conceive after IVF when they didn't get a sniff of a BFP before). It isn't anything to worry about as it will take several weeks if not months for the drugs to leave your system. But it is a good idea to let the clinic know in case it's something that they want to follow up.

Fluffy hope it goes ok at the blood test tomorrow.

Hi all
Happy new year!

Just to say to those of you who are thinking of starting all over again, we are signed up to do it again in March... (there was a lucky duck who didn't need their appointment anymore, so we got a cancellation slot, otherwise we'd be waiting til June at our clinic... clearly my area is full of people will fertility issues...) so anyone else doing it all again then - I shall see you on a march/April board! Xx

Hi Hope! I'm the same - it will all kick off again when my February period comes (end of Feb), so should be similar timescales. Is there a march/April board already? X

Hi, I think I'll be there as well! We had our follow-up consultation Saturday and doc said we could start either Feb or March - up to us. We'll be going short protocol again, so I'm tempted to give myself some breathing space and start in (early) March. We'll be using a frozen sample this time... turns out OH low numbers were due to a tumour.... a frigging tumour.... Here's hoping brighter things to come in 2017!

Hi hobbes and Lopi

No i dont think there is a march/april board yet, i havent seen one! I'm waiting on my february period too, i am guess i will be long protocol again but still havent had my report through on our failed cycle so i dont know for sure. Going to chase them up this week!

Sorry to hear about your OH tumour lopi thats awful, is he ok? Good to hear you can get going again soon tho!

Will be good to have you both as cycle buddies again! 2017 best be our year!
