Hi ladies,
I am due to start an FET in Sept/Oct and wondered if anyone else was too?! Had my first cycle of IVF in August but due to fluid in my uterus and thin lining had to freeze everything. I seem to always have fluid mid cycle, including natural cycles. Very worried that it will always be a problem and will never get to use my embryos. Having a hysteroscopy the week after next to check incase anything in there but doc suspects not. Would be great to have a few buddies! xxx

Crikey - surely a dodgy batch?! They're all i use generally.

bananafish81 · 18/09/2016 14:47

Different FRER from a different batch and all it's showing is a squinter. I reprogrammed my Clearblue Fertility Monitor and that's showing positive as well. All from the same cup of FMU (stay classy)

My faith in FRER has been rocked???

Wow I always thought FRER were meant to be the most accurate - clearly not! What's the plan for you tomorrow banana?

Go in for a repeat beta tomorrow morning

If it's registering on a digi I'm going to guess it could have doubled, but will still be low. So it's just watch and wait I guess - back in for another beta on Weds I imagine, to see where this goes....

Bear2014 · 18/09/2016 19:09

I always think if it registers on any clear blue product then it's definitely quite strong. The FRER thing is baffling. I got a faint but definite positive with a FRER 12 days past ovulation on my IUI.

bananafish81 · 18/09/2016 19:12

My consultant said everything about my case has been paradoxical - he's never seen anyone have their AMH go from 1.5 to 62.2 in the space of 8 months, so it wouldn't surprise me if I was able to break other aspects of the system Confused

No idea!!!

Good luck for scans ladies xxx

Lolly2803 · 18/09/2016 19:50

Exactly!! Let's just keep everything crossed that it's just a slow grower. Def a positive sign it's detected on the clear blue!! Why can't this just be straight forward eh?!!! xx

bananafish81 · 19/09/2016 06:27

Good luck for today's scan bear

Lolly2803 · 19/09/2016 07:58

Good Luck Bear!
Banana what is the plan for you today? xx

bananafish81 · 19/09/2016 08:00

FRER getting darker - proper line today

Going for bloods this morning - just have to see what they say. Happier it's hopefully going in the right direction. Although that doesn't necessarily mean anything 🙏

Bear2014 · 19/09/2016 09:26

That's great Banana - I'm cautiously optimistic for you!

Thanks - scan at lunch time, really hoping to be booked in for my transfer appointment.

Lolly2803 · 19/09/2016 09:28

Aw that's great the line is getting darker, can only mean it's progressing the right way surely?! Least you'll get some more clarity this morning - fingers crossed its all good news. xxx

Lolly2803 · 19/09/2016 09:33

Fingers crossed Bear! Keep me posted ladies. I'll be thinking of you both.

Banana what did you recommend for Vitamin E and L-Arginine. Mine have arrived but can't remember what you said to take!!

OP posts:
bananafish81 · 19/09/2016 09:42

Thinking thick for you bear!

L-arginine was 6g a day (!!) and vitamin E 1000iu (equivalent to 600mg I think / mine had the iu on the jar)

The l-arginine were like bloody horse pills!!

Lolly2803 · 19/09/2016 09:44

Wow my L-arginine are 500mg but I think I'll take 4 a day. I can't take any more - do you think that'll be ok? My Vit E are same. xxx

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 19/09/2016 10:30

I've been taking 3g of L-Arginine per day since day 1 of my cycle, 3 500mg pills in the morning and 3 in the evening. I'll stop at whatever day I start my progesterone.

Thanks, I'm thinking thick too! Been behaving like such a weirdo all weekend, downing beetroot juice, which produces scary purple poo, keeping my feet really warm with massive bed socks and doing some light power walking ;o) It had better work!

Lolly2803 · 19/09/2016 10:36

What's the power walking and warm feet for Bear? Not heard this before!!
Thinking thick too!! I'm excited for you.

Just waiting for the clinic to call back to confirm if I can do tomorrow as I'll likely have some brown spotting. If they can't I'll be really pissed off.

Yer that's the quantity I'll have too bear - but I'll do 2 tablets 3 times a day. Can't face 3 at once think I'd gag!!!

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 19/09/2016 10:40

It's all about blood flow around the body and crucially to the uterus. If you walk and get your heart rate up a bit, it makes your circulation more effective. The warm feet may be an old wives tale but it is said warm feet, warm uterus. I only did it after transfer last time but I'm trying to just give my lining every boost I can think of this time. After transfer I'll do some walking but much more gentle.

I'm taking over 20 tablets per day at the moment, but it will only be 3 per day after transfer.

Good luck with your clinic!

Lolly2803 · 19/09/2016 12:32

It's a wonder you're not rattling when you walk bear!! Hopefully it's all helping though and you'll have some good news today.

Banana, any news yet?

xxx

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 19/09/2016 13:29

Lolly - I know!

Well something has obviously done the trick because my lining is 8.7 today. Starting progesterone on Thursday and transfer next Tuesday. I had no idea that you had to keep taking Progynova throughout transfer and 2ww. Any ideas of why that is?

Banana, thinking of you and hope you get the result you want xx

Lolly2803 · 19/09/2016 13:56

Yay!! That's great news!! I've no idea as I've not got that far yet but I'm sure there's a valid reason!! Well done that's so exciting.

Hope Banana has some good news too!

I'm still waiting for clinic to call back xx

OP posts:
bananafish81 · 19/09/2016 14:15

Yay great news bear!

Yep you keep taking the progynova. I am taking it three times a day, did so last time and took it through till 10w. Important to keep it up so the levels don't drop - you didn't produce any naturally because you didn't ovulate. Although I had a fresh cycle, to all intents and purposes, I wasn't producing enough oestrogen and had the progynova added in on top. So am still taking it and will continue to do so

Did you not take it last time when you did your fresh donor cycle with your DR?

Good news from this end. It's doubled! Still low obvs. Only 33. Wasn't going to be much higher given where it was on Sat. But out of 'equivocal' and into 'pregnant'. At least something has tried to implant - and hopefully just a late implanter and a lazy bastard who was wandering around aimlessly before it found somewhere to get comfy. Go back on Friday for a repeat 🙏

Xx

bananafish81 · 19/09/2016 14:21

*DD not DR!

Bear2014 · 19/09/2016 14:21

Yay! That's really good news Banana. Will be watching for updates.

I really wish I had done a journal or at least made a note of what I did with my DD cycle. I remember taking Progynova or equivalent when OH was doing her injections but definitely don't remember taking it after transfer. I obviously remember the cyclogest, how could you forget something that gives you piles?!
