Hi ladies,
I am due to start an FET in Sept/Oct and wondered if anyone else was too?! Had my first cycle of IVF in August but due to fluid in my uterus and thin lining had to freeze everything. I seem to always have fluid mid cycle, including natural cycles. Very worried that it will always be a problem and will never get to use my embryos. Having a hysteroscopy the week after next to check incase anything in there but doc suspects not. Would be great to have a few buddies! xxx

Great bear! I'll let you know when next week. Where is your office?

I know there's nothing I can do I just feel like I can't cope with much more. Waiting to hear from the clinic so I'll let you know what they say xx

It's in Kings Cross but can do anywhere central within reason. I'll PM you my phone number.

I don't blame you, it's been a rough ride! xx

Lolly2803 · 25/11/2016 07:14

Good luck today bear!!

Hope you're doing OK ladies

My spotting turned into a very light period 😱

Which was unexpected!! Very very very light. But more than spotting. Now stupidly getting my hopes up that we might actually get somewhere with the tamoxifen. More fool me!

Lolly2803 · 25/11/2016 07:53

Banana that's amazing!!! It's still progress and quiet a lot of progress is say!! Well I'm really pleased for you. How long will you stay on the tamoxifen? Will you do another month with progesterone and see if it increases the level of bleed next month ? What did your Dr say? I'm getting my hopes up for you!! What are your next steps? Aw I'm so pleased Banana. xxxx

AFM, bit of an up and down week. Had cramps on Weds and got myself all hysterical worrying that my beta hasn't doubled in 48 hours. It had gone from 211 to 356 in 55 hours. (Sat-Mon) Had another done on Weds and it had gone from 356 to 609 in 47 hours (so quicker to be increase that the first). I'm still worried it's not doubling quick enough. I'm going back in today for another. The clinic don't seem worried and wanted to book me in for my scan. I said can I wait as I was too scared. Everything I read online says 48-72 hours but for most it doubles really quick. I'm still worried but not much I can do but wait!!

Banana - what a result! I bet you've never been so happy to see blood Grin

Hang in there Lolly - they have seen it all before and wouldn't be booking scans unless they had confidence.

I'm ok thank you, just hope the little blighter defrosts ok!! Xx

Lolly2803 · 25/11/2016 08:11

Keeping everything crossed Bear. I'm sure he/she is a tough cookie and just waiting to be warm and snug. I'll send some positive vibes near the clinic today when I'm walking past! Keep us posted and sending you a big big hug for Luck xxxxx

Good luck today Bear.

Lolly I don't know much about betas as my clinic don't do them but I would trust the clinic if they are happy with the results!

Banana yay!

bananafish81 · 25/11/2016 13:18

Good luck bear - hopefully you'll have a perfect thaw and be PUPO very soon

Lolly honestly doubling within 72h is all it needs to be. Your clinic wouldn't book you in for a scan if they didn't think the hCG was on track!

Thinking of you blue

Thanks for the support ladies. I don't know that I'd call it proper bleeding - it was red blood when I wiped but brown in the liner. So I guess old blood and slow flow if it's oxidising that quickly. Had to change the liner every few hours so there was something at least. Last tamoxifen pill tonight then scan on Weds. We don't plan to take Cyclogest as Dr wants to use my natural progesterone from ovulation - he doesn't want to risk high progesterone causing my lining to reabsorb. If I've not responded well to the tamoxifen we'll add in some light stims and see how we get on. We shall see.

Went for a smear this morning - I was only spotting so wasn't sure if I should cancel or not, but decided to rock up and see if she could do it or not. She said let's have a go and see what the lab say - she wasn't sure if they'd be able to use the sample because of bloody cells, but she said 'I've seen worse'. If the sample is 'inadequate' I'll just get it redone. I started to get my kit off, but she leapt into action to pull the curtain round so I could have some privacy while I got undressed. I was thinking, 'you're about to look up my vag love - and frankly, I've had my legs in stirrups so often anyone who likes can have a rummage around in there if they want!!'😂

I did have that with my consultant once. I don't even bother properly unfolding the sheet when I have a scan, I get all tangled up, so I just plonk it on top in a vague nod to modesty. Well when he did the first Neupogen wash, turns out HE quite wanted a bit of privacy, as I remember him unfolding the sheet and draping it over me, as he had an anglepoise lamp aimed right up there and probably wanted to work in peace without my grinning mug staring back at him!

Bear2014 · 25/11/2016 13:32

Banana - haha, it kills me the whole modesty thing Grin

Lolly2803 · 25/11/2016 14:13

Sounds like a proper bleed to me Banana! And definitely sounds like you're making progress! What's your Dr's thoughts?
Your privacy stories made me laugh. It's amazing how quickly you get used to taking everything off ready to be prodded and poked! The things we do that become second nature!

Bear let us know when you're officially PUPO! Thinking of you xxx

The only couple I know who went to LWC are also same sex Grin

(they ultimately weren't successful with 3 rounds of IVF, but ended up conceiving via home insemination with a known donor.....twice!! They have two kids via yogurt pot and a syringe, after 3 IVF cycles and numerous IUI in Denmark with Viking sperm. Go figure!!)

Good luck lovely!!

Lolly2803 · 25/11/2016 15:47

Wow that's an unbelievable story!!! It's crazy how some things can happen isn't it?!! Amazing!

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 25/11/2016 16:11

OMG! If this doesn't work i'll be tempted to go back to IUI. Can't do home jobby as we want the same donor. Amazing indeed though!!

Embryo on board, apparently it is now a proper blast and expanding nicely. Please let this be 4th time lucky in 2016!!!! Xx

Bear2014 · 25/11/2016 16:13

My friend who had many failed IVFs ultimately succeeded after changing donors (theirs ran out!) maybe they weren't compatible in some way.

Lolly2803 · 25/11/2016 16:16

Bear that's excellent news!!! Eeekk!!! Sounds very promising. Hope you have a relaxed weekend ahead keeping nice and snug and warm.

OP posts:
bananafish81 · 25/11/2016 16:26

Congratulations on being PUPO! Wonderful news. Are you doing the cycle completely au naturel or are you topping up with extra progesterone?

The really mad thing is that my friends had multiple donors! Two different known donors for IVF, an anonymous Danish donor for their IUI - then it happened with a syringe on second month of trying with their known donor.

The even more bonkers thing is that the donor's wife volunteered her husband's sperm to my friend - she said 'you must have children, you should have some of

Bear2014 · 25/11/2016 16:35

That's a lovely story! Obviously meant to be.

We're on 2 Cyclogest per day and 2 Progynova per day (vaginally). And we had a trigger shot! So not so much Grin xx

Lolly2803 · 25/11/2016 16:43

Wow what a story Banana! There's so much hate and misery in the world as long as people are happy that's all that matters I think!

Cyclogest is amazing isn't it Bear? I'm on 4 a day - such a treat! Haha!
When is OTD for you? Will you hold it out?

I had my bloods done so will see how much my level has gone up in the past 48 hours. They also made me book in my scan - I was scared though as didn't want to get too far ahead. But they said I needed to book! It's on 12th Dec. So just got to try and stay sane until then - hopefully tonight's number will help with that!

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 25/11/2016 17:18

Urgh 4 Cyclogest a day. I was on 3 for my last 2 cycles, and the drop to 2 is great actually, it's icky but my symptoms are less extreme. Poor you!

I can understand why you're freaking out but booking the scan won't tempt fate - it will be torture until then but you will know more where you stand and put yourself out of your misery! 12th isn't too far away. xx

Bear2014 · 25/11/2016 17:21

Here is the mini blast

FET Sept/Oct
Lolly2803 · 25/11/2016 17:31

Aww it's amazing when you see them isn't it! When I saw them being put in a felt a bit emotional as well. All a bit surreal i think! Hopefully it's looking for a comfy spot ready to snuggle into right now!

I'm also on 1 progesterone injection a day as well as 4 cyclogest. I blamed all my 2ww symptoms on progesterone - which to be fair it could still be! Who knows?!

When is OTD? xxx
