Fluid in uterus

Hi there, I have recently had my first IVF cycle but had to freeze everything as my lining wasn't thick enough in time for ET. During my cycle I also had some fluid in my uterus. I've had this in previous normal cycles too. It always happens mid cycle and then disappears about 5 or so days later. I am having a hysteroscopy in September but the doctor thinks it will be clear as she can't see anything on my scans. I'm worried if it's hormonal then it can't be fixed and I'll never make it to ET! Has anyone else had anything similar? xxx

Oh cool! Lots of people are with them I think, they sound great from what I've read.
I'd say all your symptoms and that strong heartbeat sounds super positive! I think the chances of anything going wrong once you've seen that reduce quiet a lot.

I think time during fertility treatment takes on a whole new level. Days feel like weeks and weeks feel like months!

It's my birthday next weekend so I am hoping to have some good news end of this week so I can relax for a bit. I'm turning 30!

I hope so!

Aww that would be the perfect 30th Birthday present! Keeping everything tightly tightly crossed for you.

I'm 32 Smile

Whereabouts in the UK are you? I'm in Hampshire.

I'm in SW London. Clinic is Harley Street Fertility Clinic. They've been great!

Argh it really would. Just had a shower and done my meds for the evening trying to relax. I've got acupuncture on Friday as well. I've been going for months - have you had any? xxx

Good luck with your next beta result Lolly!

I had acupuncture twice on day of ET but haven't had it since. I've tried an acupuncturist in the UK but didn't find it relaxing like my one in Czech Republic.
I think it's a great thing to do if it helps to relax and give you some time out.

So things aren't good. Had another one yesterday after 47 hours and it had gone from 609 - 872. So slowing down it's doubling time.
They said to come in again on Monday after 3 days and then again on Friday so they can see what it's doing.

I'm preparing for the worst as can't imagine it's going to be ok with such inconsistent doubling times. Ive used up all my hope so just trying to get my head around this all being over.

Oh Lolly I'm so sorry. I really thought it looked like it was going to be ok.

There is still a chance that everything could be fine but I understand completely why you are feeling so sad and drained.

It's shit and unfair Flowers
I have been there, so if you want to get it all out of your system I'm here Flowers

Lolly2803 · 26/11/2016 09:27

Yer so did I! But this always happens to us. After something good something bad always follows to come and shit over everything.
They didn't say they were concerned yet but I think that's just because it's a bit of a waiting game until the scan anyway. So if it keeps going up we will still have the scan and it will just be a case of seeing what they find. The numbers are still high apparently.

But as I said, I'm not holding out much/any hope.

RoseBud so some good news today! The doubling has returned to normal. In 76 hours it went from 872 - 2,000+ (can't remember the exact number damn it!) I was so worried I didn't take it in!

No more betas now just have to wait for my scan on the 12th!!

Oh that's fab! Maybe both embryos started to implant and then one stopped and that's why the doubling slowed down?!

Now just gotta get through the next 2ww... it never ends!

My scan has been moved to Friday now so I also have extra waiting Ahhhh!

Lolly2803 · 29/11/2016 16:54

Who knows?! The clinic said some people just have a slow start! They said no way of knowing how many or anything till the scan as every woman is different. They said most women don't know whether their levels have doubled or not and it's just a guide.

Just got to wait till the 12th and see what that shows!

Ah Friday isn't too long to wait but I know when you're waiting for something the days feel like weeks don't they?! xxx

I know this thread is so so SO old but I'm googling and googling and came across this thread 🙈 I'm due to start my first FET cycle - I've had a baby via ivf and upon my recent scan for lining they've found fluid in my uterus with no explanation and I'm worried sick! Background from me...I've had both tubes removed due to hydrosalpinx and also had a c section with my baby. I was given no answers as to what the fluid was and just wondering what the procedure was or if you have any advice?
I may be taking a shot in the dark here as I appreciate this thread is so old but hoping someone can guide me x
