Fluid in uterus

Lolly2803 · 11/08/2016 08:12

Hi there, I have recently had my first IVF cycle but had to freeze everything as my lining wasn't thick enough in time for ET. During my cycle I also had some fluid in my uterus. I've had this in previous normal cycles too. It always happens mid cycle and then disappears about 5 or so days later. I am having a hysteroscopy in September but the doctor thinks it will be clear as she can't see anything on my scans. I'm worried if it's hormonal then it can't be fixed and I'll never make it to ET! Has anyone else had anything similar? xxx

Aw that's great you've come to a decision. Maybe I should write a list too and see where we net out!!

I'm CD14 today so still got a bit of time to wait. That's exciting your well on your way! I'm just so nervous about this thickening and bloody fluid!! Dr has agreed to give me some antibiotics to try as well to maybe stop the fluid from coming but who knows! I'm also worried I won't respond to the thickening meds but again who knows! I'm so worried yet so excited to start at the same time. Wishing the days away so AF comes!

You'll have to let me know how your scan goes and all your measurements. I'm sure you're doing great though. Are you getting excited too? xx

Hi Lolly

I'm CD13 today and had my lining scan which showed an 8mm triple layer and no fluid! Hurrah!
I have a few more days to let it thicken some more before I start the progesterone so hopefully I can get it up to 9mm in the coming few days.

Now that I know ET is definitely happening, I am letting myself feel more excited now.
How about you? Your AF must be due in the next or so? How are you feeling? X

Lolly2803 · 05/10/2016 18:04

RoseBud that's amazing! All sounds like it's going amazingly well so happy for you! Great news re: fluid - what did you do?!! Do you know when your ET is yet?

I'm on CD21 waiting for AF so I can start meds. Hoping. AF is on track and this cycle will be 28 days as I just want to get started. The wait is an absolute killer! xx

RoseBud2016 · 05/10/2016 18:49

Hopefully your AF arrives on time and you can get cracking too!

The only things I did differently were taking liquid iron and 200mg selenium each day, and full immune meds. But I don't think any of that made a difference to the fluid- I think it might be the fact I didn't have to induce AF with meds this time. It came completely naturally after my very first natural ov. I think my hormones are better balanced as a result and that's what's done it- just my best guess.

ET is on 13th Oct.

Let me know when you AF arrives- I'm hoping it will be good news at your scan too.

Lolly2803 · 05/10/2016 19:17

Oh that's so soon you must be feeling so excited!! See I've not been tested/checked or anything to do with immunes.

I think mine is hormone related and is there with natural cycles as well. I'm fully expecting it to be there mid cycle during the FET as well - unless a miracle happens! Just have to figure out how we progress through it as its always going to be there! They can aspirate it but are nervous of disrupting the lining. I'm so worried about it as this is such a big blocker to even getting to ET. So I'm a mixture of excited and nervous. xxx

Hey RoseBud, how are you doing? You've got ET on the 13th right? How are you feeling? How have your scans been? Hope you're ok xxx

RoseBud2016 · 12/10/2016 15:06

Hello lovely! I arrived in Czech this morn. My lining scan went well- triple stripe 8mm on CD13 and no fluid, and I had 3 more days for it to grow before starting my progesterone bums shots on the Sat just gone. So hopefully it grew a bit more.
ET is tomorrow at 2:15pm Czech time. Then fly home on Fri.
How about you? Any sign of AF? What CD are you on now? X

Lolly2803 · 12/10/2016 15:34

Aw that's such good news. You've done fantastically! Are you getting excited? Are you transferring one or two embryos?
Any more tips on fluid situation?! I'm so worried about it!!
I am CD 28 today so hoping to come on tomorrow!! Really hoping she doesn't play hard to get so I can just get started on the FET.

RoseBud2016 · 12/10/2016 20:38

Yes definitely getting excited.... and a bit nervous. We are going to transfer one again this time as when we did a pros and cons list, the cons of two far outweighed the pros for us. I think it's a very individual decision though.
I won't think I do have any other tips fluid wise. I have just tried to eat really well; including lots of super foods like avocados (one a day to be precise Blush) and take lots of supplements that are supposed to be good for lining. But whether any of it has/will make the difference, is anyone's guess!

I hope AF plays ball for you. A longer wait is just bloody annoying at the least!

Lolly2803 · 12/10/2016 21:56

I know!! The waiting is the absolute worst I think!! I eat really healthy and lots of superfoods already so I'm not worried about that. My acupuncture lady sent me a list of foods that are meant to cause damp so I'll be avoiding those! Other than that not much more I can do right?!!

Aw it's so exciting. Let us know when it's all done and how it goes. I'll be thinking of you!
Oh yes I remember you saying you were transferring the one now. I just can't make my mind up...hoping I can decide at the last minute. xxx

Hey RoseBud, how are you doing? All going well after ET? xxx

OP posts:
RoseBud2016 · 16/10/2016 20:53

Hello!

Yes ET went well thanks- very smooth and the doctor was really happy with where the embryo was placed. I've been getting pinching, cramps and some pulling sensations since so I'm really hoping that it's a sign of some implantation. Only 3dp6dt though so very early days.

I saw on another thread that your AF came! Woop!!!! Good luck with your scan- you must be desperate to get going!? X

Lolly2803 · 16/10/2016 21:15

Aw that sounds so positive! Keep me posted. Been thinking of you. When is OTD?
Yep going into the clinic tomorrow! Excited but very anxious! Feel like I'm just about to hop on board the rollercoaster again and I'm scared! Mainly at the hurdles that await us with this bloody fluid and lining issues. But let's see!! xxx

OP posts:
RoseBud2016 · 16/10/2016 21:55

OTD is 27th which is the equivalent of 20dpo! Not a chance I'm waiting that long! I'll probably test towards the end of this week just to get an indication as to if anything is happening.

Good luck for tomorrow! What time is your appointment? It is one long messed up rollercoaster of anxiousness all this, isn't it? But you honestly sound like you've done all you can to try and combat the fluid issue you experienced last time. I'm not sure there's really much more you can do (which makes it even more scary)
As you say, just have to wait and see now! Good luck! X

Lolly2803 · 17/10/2016 08:45

Wow that's ages to wait! Don't blame you for testing early with that long of a wait. Exciting you are testing this week! Hope it goes quickly for you.
My appointment is at 11.20. I was meant to be taking l-arginine but it hasn't arrived yet which I'm annoyed about but hopefully that's not a deal breaker! Let's see how I get on! I'll keep you posted xxx

RoseBud2016 · 18/10/2016 07:07

How did it go yesterday? Hope you are ok? X

FleurThomas · 18/10/2016 08:05

Fluid might mean infection. Sonographer who did my hsg was specfically looking for it, and said it's usually treated by a course of antibiotics. She seemed to think if left untreated it could cause tubal scarring but not sure if that's right.

Lolly2803 · 18/10/2016 09:36

Hey RoseBud, I'm ok thanks. Had the scan and she said there was fluid in there but she thought it was blood as I was day 3 and it was hazy whereas when it was fluid it was clear. Started on the Progynova yesterday and then from tomorrow I have to add the patches. We are also trying some antibiotics to see if that does anything for the fluid. So I'll start those today. Have to go back for another scan next Tuesday to see how I'm doing. I'll also be having a Neupogen wash - have you heard of that? Im feeling ok just nervous about it all but trying to keep as positive as I can. These Progynova have given me the worst headache though. Since about 1 hour after I started taking them! Hopefully I'll just adjust to them an it'll go away.
How are you doing? Feeling and signs or symptoms? Have you decided when this week you will test? xxx

OP posts:
RoseBud2016 · 18/10/2016 12:45

That sounds like a positive first scan result then?! Glad you have got started on the meds and have a plan in place. So next Tuesday will be CD10, right? But should have a good gauge of how the lining is doing by then. And the Neuogen wash cannot hurt- definitively worth a try.

The meds are the worst aren't they- I am soooooo bloated. No headaches for me but serious bloat and tiredness. Hopefully your body gets used to them soon and the headaches lessen for you.

I'm ok- not feeling as positive as I was a couple of days ago. Just not sure it's worked. Last time, I knew it had before I tested. This time I'm really scared to test- I don't think that's a good sign! I will probably take a test tomoz morn just to see- but I might chicken out Confused

Lolly2803 · 18/10/2016 14:11

Well as positive as it can be at the start I guess! I'm just hoping the lining has thickened and looks like we might have a chance on Tues. The Neupogen wash can do great things apparently so also will be interesting to see how I do after having 2 of those. I'm just so nervous!!
I would say if you can hold on for the most accurate result. The uncertainty is just the worst! Hang on in there!!! They say each time is different so don't read too much into that. xxx

Hey RoseBud, how are you feeling? xx

OP posts:
RoseBud2016 · 20/10/2016 18:07

I'm feeling ok. A bit queasy today. I though a test and it's BFP. A clear and definite second line!
It's the first hurdle jumped which I'm really pleased about. But not getting carried away because I've had this twice before. Those experiences overshadow everything.
I feel calm though so that's an improvement on last time.
We shall see- I'm only 7dp6dt so still early days.

Have your headaches subsided yet? X

RoseBud2016 · 20/10/2016 18:07

*took

Lolly2803 · 20/10/2016 18:24

Omg rosebud that's amazing!!! I'll get over excited for you if that's ok. Keeping everything crossed it goes smoothly from here on out!
My headaches are easing but still very much there. I just have to suck it up though as I'm not going to stop taking the meds!!

When is OTD? Have you told the clinic yet? xxx

OP posts:
RoseBud2016 · 20/10/2016 18:44

Aww thanks lovely.

That's good they are easing a bit. Headaches are awful.

OTD is 27th (14dp6dt) so a while away yet! Lol Not going to tell the clinic until I have some beta results which I'll try and do on Sat but if not next wk sometime. Both other times my betas were lower than average so that's a really scary bit for me because I associate it with something going wrong.
