Fluid in uterus

Hi there, I have recently had my first IVF cycle but had to freeze everything as my lining wasn't thick enough in time for ET. During my cycle I also had some fluid in my uterus. I've had this in previous normal cycles too. It always happens mid cycle and then disappears about 5 or so days later. I am having a hysteroscopy in September but the doctor thinks it will be clear as she can't see anything on my scans. I'm worried if it's hormonal then it can't be fixed and I'll never make it to ET! Has anyone else had anything similar? xxx

I'm Going to call the clinic today and ask if they are worried and should I wait till Friday or have another beta tomorrow as well.
I'm so worried I can't help it.

It's gone up by 70% in 55 hours...

Sorry I thought you meant it had doubled in 55 hours. But now I realise you mean there was 55 hours between tests.
I've put your numbers into a calculator and here's what it came out with:

So your beta numbers are high but your doubling is very slightly below normal (72.88 where 72 hours is normal)
I would wait 48 hours before having another one personally.
It's natural to worry- I hope the clinic can help to put your mind at rest. X

Lolly2803 · 22/11/2016 08:29

I'm super worried. I've emailed them and asked them to call me to see if they're worried and whether they want me to come in tomorrow for another test.

I am just beside myself with worry.

Any answers from your clinic Lolly? Been thinking of you x

Lolly2803 · 22/11/2016 17:30

Not really. The nurse said try not to worry. They will repeat my levels on Friday and check them again. I asked her to ask the dr to email me so let's see.
Last night they said my progesterone level was fine but they want me to increase my dose so I'm doing that. Been a bit crampy today.

I'm just so beside myself with worry.

It's so hard- I completely understand Flowers
Light cramps are good though. Hopefully Friday will put your mind at ease a bit and there will be a bigger increase x

Lolly2803 · 22/11/2016 17:45

I really hope so. She did say the number was a good number but I guess they can only reassure you so much as they don't know themselves. This bit is down to nature and I just have to hope and pray it's on my side.

Yer the cramps are mild and off and on.
Who knows what's going on in there?!! Argh such a worry.

Also random other question. Every day I blow my nose and there's always bits of blood. Been happening for a week now - did you/ do you have that?

OP posts:
RoseBud2016 · 22/11/2016 20:04

Your numbers are definitely high- so I don't think she's saying it to reassure you. It really IS the case! The chart I posted earlier shows that.

No can't say I've noticed any nose bleeds or blood when wiping or blowing my nose. But just googled it and apparently it is a thing in pregnancy in some women due to increased blood volume...... who knew! Smile

Lolly2803 · 22/11/2016 20:14

I'm like a walking zombie today. Keep crying and just lying there staring into space worries. My poor DH! Going to try and just put it out of my mind for the next 2 days and see what Friday brings....

Hope you're doing ok!

Hey Rose, how are you doing today? xx

OP posts:
RoseBud2016 · 23/11/2016 12:32

Hey lovely. I'm ok thanks- just a constant feeling of being hungover, and the occasional vomit! But otherwise I'm alright- trying not to go slowly insane.

As I'm sure you are finding, the days just go soooooo damn slowly at the moment.

How are you doing today? x

Lolly2803 · 23/11/2016 12:42

Awful. I'm cramping a little and my downstairs feels sore. I'm not sure if I've had pink spotting or not. There's something going on. I'm terrified and at work.

RoseBud2016 · 23/11/2016 12:47

All sounds very promising! You are bound to worry and feel scared but honestly that does sound good.

Lolly2803 · 23/11/2016 12:51

I'm in tears outside my work. I've called the clinic and going for another blood test in an hour. I'll keep you posted x

OP posts:
Lolly2803 · 23/11/2016 19:24

Ok so bloods are back. In 48 hours it's gone up 75% and gone from 362 to 609. They said they're not worried. I'm still worried but trying to calm down a bit.

OP posts:
RoseBud2016 · 23/11/2016 19:33

That's great news! Your doubling time is within the 72 hours now.
You are bound to still be worried. Honestly I don't think the worry ever ends. But this is a positive step in the right direction xxx

Feeling a bit better. Had so much cramp today. The worry was literally making me hysterical. Let's see what Friday brings but for now it's all ok. They even mentioned booking me in for my scan. But I said can I wait as I was too scared so they just gave me the date.

OP posts:
RoseBud2016 · 23/11/2016 19:40

You are doing great. It's such a stressful time and when you want something so badly you can't help but over analyse everything- it's only natural.

I was exactly the same; still am! Smile

Lolly2803 · 23/11/2016 19:48

I feel like I'm a nervous wreck! I've just got to try and calm down. You know what it's like of course, when you want something and have to overcome so much the thought of having it snatched away is terrifying.

Hopefully Friday will bring a really nice number and then I will try and relax until my scan!!

Can't imagine with those levels there could be more than 1 in there.

OP posts:
RoseBud2016 · 23/11/2016 19:54

No, funnily enough I was just looking at betabase and your beta is now exactly where it should be for a singleton. Average is 595!

Once the betas are out of the way, the 2ww to the first scan is like another form of torture! You can join me in very slooooooowly going insane. Smile

Lolly2803 · 23/11/2016 19:58

Haha! When is your scan? Or did you have yours already?
I guess we will never know for sure till the scan! I was reading about hcg numbers for multiples and there doesn't actually seem to be much of a correlation. Some people have low and twins some super high and singleton. There's no knowing!

I was wondering earlier if the cramping was because there was two rummaging around in there! But I would be happy with whatever as long as it works out.

What clinic are you at? xx

RoseBud2016 · 23/11/2016 20:18

We had a scan at 6w6d which showed a strong heartbeat. We are now waiting for our next scan at 9w5d on 30th Nov. Still a week to go but it feels like we have been waiting such a long time already!

I swing between feeling mildly positive because of my nausea and occasional vomiting, to absolute fear that the symptoms are all in my head and this is over. It's just awful.

We are with Reprofit in the Czech Republic. So pay for private scans in the UK and then email them the results so they can advise us what to do next.
