Fluid in uterus

Hi there, I have recently had my first IVF cycle but had to freeze everything as my lining wasn't thick enough in time for ET. During my cycle I also had some fluid in my uterus. I've had this in previous normal cycles too. It always happens mid cycle and then disappears about 5 or so days later. I am having a hysteroscopy in September but the doctor thinks it will be clear as she can't see anything on my scans. I'm worried if it's hormonal then it can't be fixed and I'll never make it to ET! Has anyone else had anything similar? xxx

Aw I can imagine. I've not been in your position so not sure what to say other than until you know for sure stay hopeful - right now you're pregnant and there's every chance in the world this is your time! Enjoy it and we will all be hoping for the best for you!

Thank you- I know you are right.

I'm so excited for you to get started! I'm feeling impatient on your behalf! Grin

Lolly2803 · 20/10/2016 21:33

Haha! Well I've started! I started my tablets on Monday so I'm on 4 progynova a day and 2 patches every other day. Then on Tuesday I've got to go in for my first scan to check my lining. The fluid should be there too. We are also trying on Tuesday a Neupogen wash so let's see what that does, I think I'll be having 2 of those.

Keeping everything crossed and thinking thick but still worried at the same time!

Hey RoseBud, how are you feeling? How are things going? xxx

RoseBud2016 · 27/10/2016 13:18

Sorry for the delay- only got back from our cuty break late last night. So it's OTD today and the FRER is the darkest I've ever had :) Also got a 3+ on a digital today which I never got during my last pregnancy so I'm feeling slightly reassured. Still getting brown spotting every day which is worrying me. I've been advised to rest and take time off work if it continues. First beta blood test was taken today and another will be done on Sat.

How did the wash go? When is ET? It must be really soon? Or have you already had it? x

Lolly2803 · 27/10/2016 13:30

Aw Rose Bud that's fantastic!! Congratulations!!! If it's brown blood couldn't it just be old? When will you get beta results?

So I had my first scan on Monday after 7 days of FET meds. My lining was 5.9mm so thickening but slow so they've upped my meds. She said too early to do the wash so we didn't do it. But weirdly the fluid wasn't there!!! It's usually been there at that time!! I don't want to get too excited as still time for it to appear but so far it's fine! I've got to back on Monday for another scan to see how the lining is doing and we will possibly do the wash then. Feeling nervous - every time I think of ET I stop myself as I'm still so nervous we won't get there! xxx

6mm lining 7 days after starting your meds, with no fluid, is absolutely brilliant! You are bound to still feel really worried but that sounds like things are certainly going in the right direction- yay!

Maybe you wont need the wash at all if your lining keeps growing and the fluid stays away? Are your clinic aiming for a CD19 transfer do you know? Or a bit later? The reason I ask is because I had my transfer on CD21 this time (had it on CD19 last time) and my lining got quite a lot thicker than previously. Its amazing what a couple of extra days of oestrogen can do!

Good luck for Monday- let me know how it goes.

I'm not sure if I will get my first beta result tomorrow or Monday. But either way I'll be sure to let you know. Fingers crossed we both have good news to share on Monday. x

Lolly2803 · 27/10/2016 15:54

Oh yes please do keep me posted!!
They haven't said when transfer would be yet. They said they weren't constraint as much by timing with an FET and it would also depend on the embryos as they are Day 5 - not sure what that means though. I'm not even sure what the lining should be at transfer at my clinic! The Dr said that it wasnt as thick as they'd like so hopefully the extra dose of oestrogen I'll have had for ext 6 days will give the lining more of a boost! Keeping everything crossed for us both for Monday - I'll keep you posted! xxx

Lolly- How did your scan go today? Good news I hope?

I got my betas back:

14dp6dt - 3117 (1200 is average)
16dp6dt- 5815 (2400 is average)

So they are way above average!!! But the doubling time is a little slower than I was hoping for- 50 hours. I would have liked it to be in the 40's.

Cant; do anything else now until my scan on 10th Nov. Trying to stay calm...... failing miserably! lol x

Lolly2803 · 31/10/2016 18:47

That's brilliant Rose! So so pleased for you. It wasn't good news for me. The fluid was back today and my lining went from 5.9mm to 6.1mm. She drained the fluid and I had a Neupogen wash. Have to go back on Thursday for another and then we'll see. If this doesn't work there's nothing else they can do apparently.

Oh Lolly- I'm sorry! I really hope the wash does the trick for you.
There is still time. But it must be so stressful. Flowers

RoseBud2016 · 03/11/2016 17:49

Hope your scan went better today Lolly I've had my fingers tightly crossed for you x

Lolly2803 · 03/11/2016 17:57

Hey Rose,
For once there was some good news. My lining had grown from 6.1mm on Monday eve to 7mm!! The dr said it looked much better today and there was only a tiny "insignificant" amount of fluid. The Dr drained what was there and did another wash. They then scheduled my ET for next week Thursday! She said I need to start cyclogest on Sat and come back for a blood test on Tuesday but they aren't going to measure my lining again. I can't believe it. xxx

RoseBud2016 · 03/11/2016 18:05

YAY!!!!! That's fab news! Maybe the wash was the magic cure? Or maybe you would have been ok anyway? But either way I'm so pleased for you! And you still have a couple of days to grow that lining a little more before starting the progesterone!

I had an "insignificant" amount of fluid in my uterus when I had my transfer in May. It wasn't a problem and the embryo implanted well so there is still lots of hope for you.

Thurs is a big day for us both then- you will be PUPO and I'll know whether this pregnancy is going anywhere or not- 7 week scan Confused
Eek! X

Lolly2803 · 03/11/2016 18:13

Omg exciting! Wow Thurs is a big day. Make sure you let me know won't you.
I think the wash must be the magic cure. I took meds for 5 days and went up 0.2mm. Then on 2 days of the wash it grew 1.0mm! And from what I read it increases with the second wash so I'm praying I can get to 8mm by the time I start progesterone.

I feel so happy but yet drained! xxx

RoseBud2016 · 03/11/2016 18:51

I'm not surprised- you've had such a stressful few days. Bless you.
But now the countdown is well and truly on!
Do you have some lucky socks? If not, get your DP to get you some! X

Lolly2803 · 03/11/2016 18:58

I am going to wear the socks I wore today as that's the only time I've been in that scan room and had good news! Haha

Still a long way to go! xxx

RoseBud2016 · 10/11/2016 19:33

I hope ET went well for you today Lolly and you are now nicely PUPO! X

Lolly2803 · 10/11/2016 21:56

I am PUPO Rose!! xxx

RoseBud2016 · 11/11/2016 07:03

Yay! Congratulations! X

And we saw our little embie yesterday with a strong heartbeat, measuring one day ahead. Smile I'm sure you won't be far behind!

Lolly2803 · 11/11/2016 07:20

Aw fantastic!!! So pleased for you!! That must have been amazing!

We have to go for a blood test on the 19th to find out if it's worked! xx

OP posts:
RoseBud2016 · 11/11/2016 07:28

The 19th isn't long to wait at all! Eek! My clinic makes us wait 14 days!
(Although I'm sure the wait will feel painfully slow to you!)
Keep me posted on how it all goes x

Lolly2803 · 11/11/2016 07:43

I will do! I'm expecting the worst but hoping for the best! xx

RoseBud2016 · 18/11/2016 22:19

Good luck with OTD tomoz Lolly x

Lolly2803 · 19/11/2016 06:56

Thanks Rose. I'm feeling like it hasn't worked, just can't imagine it could have. Bit of an emotional wreck and scared at finding out as when you don't know there's still hope.

I'll let you know xx
