WANTED- cycle buddies who are ttc#1 and planning a FET in April/May

I'm in need of some buddies! Smile

A long story short is that I have been ttc#1 for 19 months now. I have severe PCOS and don't ov or cycle naturally.
Last year I was told that DH and I would only have a chance of conceiving through IVF, after numerous other fertility treatments failed.

In February this year we had our first ISCI IVF cycle at Reprofit in the Czech Republic (DH has 2 DDs so we are not eligible for treatment on the NHS) We got 12 eggs, 8 fertilised and 6 made it to blasts! We had one transferred and fell pregnant! But at 4+4 blood tests confirmed that the pregnancy wasn't viable and at 5 weeks we had a very early mc (I hate the phrase CP as I think it trivialises it)

The last few weeks have been such a struggle physically and mentally but we are keen to try again so are planning another trip to Reprofit to be reunited with one of our Frosties! Smile

Scared and excited in equal measures and would love some buddies to share in this new and unknown part of the 'journey' with. X

Vixx coincidentally I had really strong cramps last night- the same sort I had during implantation last time but haven't experienced before now this time around. Strong enough to wake me up and make me pace the room for a bit. Different enough to AF to not panic (overly) but it is sore! I imagine like for you things are stretching out down there.

Jealous of your neat little bump stealth! I'm already having to subtly undo my trouser buttons at my desk/in cinema etc. Basically sitting down is murder on the bloat. If only it was a real bump and not just food/progesterone!

stealthbanana · 21/06/2016 14:01

There's no need to keep taking the antiemetics if you don't need them - you don't need to taper off them. I have been taking them on and off since stims (yes, I was lucky enough to get horrid nausea whilst stimming too - joy). Just take them when you're feeling sick and stop when you're not.

Next official scan is my nuchal translucency "12 week" scan but it's happening next week at 13+4. However I'm seeing my new antenatal/deliverh consultant for my first appointment this Thursday and am hoping he'll get his ultrasound out and give me a quick unofficial peek.

grumpel seems like most people are needing to loosen trousers by my stage - I'm definitely in the minority. I think it's because I haven't been exercising so have lost muscle tone on my legs and bum - so increased tummy is offset by wasting away bum and the flesh is just moving around!

Vixxfacee · 21/06/2016 14:46

Have you had any other symptoms apart from that grumpel?

Vixxfacee · 21/06/2016 14:47

Oh you got nausea during stims too!

I feel like it's going really quickly for you now stealth Smile

stealthbanana · 21/06/2016 14:48

Yep. I feel like I've been in the first trimester for about 6 months.

Time definitely needs to speed up!!

RoseBud2016 · 21/06/2016 15:38

My trousers no longer do up when I'm sat down Blush

It's all progesterone bloat but it's quite uncomfortable nonetheless!

I've started having occasional gagging when brushing my teeth..... Is it weird that this makes me happy!? Grin

Hmm symptoms. Felt a bit off yesterday- sort of empty-hungry but then didn't really want food. Still mainly symptom-free other than heavy-feeling tummy in the evenings. Can feel a bit sick in the shower sometimes, oddly. But if I didn't know I was duffed then I'd be paying all of this totally no mind.

Rose totally get how you'd be delighted with that symptom- an unmistakable one!

stealthbanana · 21/06/2016 19:07

Popped out to supermarket to get food (only vommed once on the way)

I bought

Large tube of Pringles
Jelly babies
3x blocks green & blacks hazelnut & raisin chocolate
2x bag oven fries
Large strawberry milk

I am going to end up with gestational diabetes at this rate Shock

Grumpelstiltskin · 21/06/2016 19:18

Stealth that sounds AMAZING.

In contrast DH has made me fish and veg Angry(ungrateful no-carb emoji)

stealthbanana · 21/06/2016 19:22

Oh god. Are you stomaching that? That would be instant Krakatoa vom for me.

Grumpelstiltskin · 21/06/2016 20:21

Well I don't particularly want it but have forced some down to be nice! Not at vom stage (yet) just a bit off things, so at least attempting vague health for the time being. He rolled his eyes though and gave me some marmite rice cakes for afters.
Poor you with all the vom - SURELY you're due it to tail off any sec...

stealthbanana · 21/06/2016 22:30

Lol. Your husband needs to develop a lot more pregnant lady sympathy!

I hope so re the vomiting. Getting boring now. Have finally stopped for the day so hopefully I can get some rest and head into work as normal tomorrow. Now starting to get stabbing pains in my hips which I assume is ligament pain. Can't believe pregnancy is portrayed as some wonderful fun glowing experience - it's awful! (Although obv wouldn't change it for a second if we get a healthy baby out of it!!)

RoseBud2016 · 24/06/2016 06:58

Just a quick update from me- my scan is booked for next Thursday (30th)
But have woken up this morn with my boob soreness having almost disappeared Sad Trying to remain calm but fearing the worst- this was my first indication when things went wrong last time.
I feel so anxious now!

Vixxfacee · 24/06/2016 07:44

Morning Rose, great news for the scan!
Just to say from my experience the boob pain comes and goes. I know when I'm going to have a worse day with sickness when boobs are more sore! Some days I wake up they are almost fine. By the end of the day pain.

My booking appointment is for the 4th and scan for the 21st July. I will be 13 weeks exactly.

Grumpelstiltskin · 24/06/2016 08:26

Your scan is the day after mine, rose! Hoping it's normal symptom fluctuation for you. There's always a worry though. I mainly worry I don't feel especially pregnant at all! I'm yet to get sore boobs at all this time- weird.

Ugh, already knackered as been up since 4 due to Brexit news. Poor DH hared off to work at 5.30 (finance). At least it's Friday!

Grumpelstiltskin · 24/06/2016 08:28

Your scan is the day after mine, rose! Exciting terrifying. Hoping it's normal symptom fluctuation for you. There's always a worry though. I mainly worry I don't feel especially pregnant at all! I'm yet to get sore boobs at all this time- weird.

Vixxfacee · 24/06/2016 08:30

Grumpel my dp is in finance too. He went go work before jokingly telling me that he will now take the paternity leave and I go back to work!

I think some of the boob soreness is the progesterone as well.

stealthbanana · 24/06/2016 08:47

Boob soreness definitely fluctuates. I didn't get boob pain (only some nipple soreness) til quite late - about 10 weeks I think. Then the bazookas exploded!

I am in bits this morning over Brexit. Got into work very early and currently preparing a note to my shareholder about what we need to do. They are pushing me to draw up a plan to relocate my entire uk business (1000 staff) to elsewhere in the eu (likely Ireland). I am pushing back for now but there are likely at least a couple of businesses I'll need to shutter/relocate as a result of this. A very sad day Sad Really worry about what kind of world I'll be bringing stealthini into.

RoseBud2016 · 24/06/2016 11:45

Thanks all- I know I am probably reading into it way too much.

My DH is an finance too! What a strange coincidence!

This mornings news is absolutely horrendous- who are these people that think that Nigel Farage and Boris Johnson have more collective wisdom than a long, long list of high profile business and economic analysts?? I feel ashamed to be British today.

Stealth That all sounds exceptionally stressful! So many unknowns and so many businesses are panicking- understandably.

It's making me feel all...political. Was considering joining the lib dems after listening to corbyn's fecking useless speech just now. Must resist the urge to get sucked into this!

rose Flowers. This is the hardest part. I went completely doolally. As grumpel says, the only problem with finding out so early is that it makes the first trimester unbearably long and stressful.

AFM, I am 13 weeks today! Really hoping everything is ok. Can't wait for Wednesday when we can see stealthini again. Hoping he's still alive and healthy 😳

Vixxfacee · 27/06/2016 08:29

Happy 13 weeks stealth!
Hope everyone else is good?

RoseBud2016 · 27/06/2016 09:30

Stealth 13 weeks!!!! AMAZING! So scans for you and Grumpel on Weds. And I have my first doctors appointment on Weds too so it's all going on!

My boob pain came back with vengance on Saturday so I'm pleased about that! Also I spoke to my Mum at the weekend about my concerns regarding very little nausea and it turns out she had very little nausea with any of her pregnancies too, so maybe I just take after her- I hope so. I'm trying to stay hopeful.

Vixx I'm slowly driving myself crazy- time is going so damn slowly! Just want Thursday to be here so I can have some answers one way or the other. How are you doing? Did you arrange another scan in the end or are you waiting until 12 weeks now? x

OP posts:
Vixxfacee · 27/06/2016 09:41

Glad your boobs are hurting again! I hope you don't get morning sickness but I know of you are anything like me it will reassure you.
Just to say my mum had 6 children and very little morning sickness yet me and my sister -hg. My sisters was so bad for both pregnancies that she was hospitalised numerous times.

I have my booking in appointment on Monday and then a scan at 13 weeks on the 21st. I didn't book another scan as sickness came back! Signed off work now.

Fantastic that you all will see your babies for the first time/ again this week.

stealthbanana · 27/06/2016 10:02

Yep! I have stopped lubion, progynova, prednisolone and metformin and am tapering off the cyclogest this week (one bum bullet a day only!). Am only taking vitamins now. I thought this day would never come!

Still have nothing even really approaching a bump (just a bit of tummy flab) and all my clothes still fit just fine. Am a bit Hmm given how many people have told me they couldn't do up their jeans by 12 weeks!

Vixxfacee · 27/06/2016 12:25

Stealth when will you stop the bum bullets? My clinic said stop all at 12 weeks.
I can't believe 13 weeks already! I think of you're slim already and it's your first then it takes longer to show?
