WANTED- cycle buddies who are ttc#1 and planning a FET in April/May

I'm in need of some buddies! Smile

A long story short is that I have been ttc#1 for 19 months now. I have severe PCOS and don't ov or cycle naturally.
Last year I was told that DH and I would only have a chance of conceiving through IVF, after numerous other fertility treatments failed.

In February this year we had our first ISCI IVF cycle at Reprofit in the Czech Republic (DH has 2 DDs so we are not eligible for treatment on the NHS) We got 12 eggs, 8 fertilised and 6 made it to blasts! We had one transferred and fell pregnant! But at 4+4 blood tests confirmed that the pregnancy wasn't viable and at 5 weeks we had a very early mc (I hate the phrase CP as I think it trivialises it)

The last few weeks have been such a struggle physically and mentally but we are keen to try again so are planning another trip to Reprofit to be reunited with one of our Frosties! Smile

Scared and excited in equal measures and would love some buddies to share in this new and unknown part of the 'journey' with. X

Bruising from implantation which sounded weird to me!

As soon as rose gets her results shall we move to a new thread?

RoseBud2016 · 15/06/2016 15:57

Congratulations Vixx This is superb news! I am so so pleased for you Smile

I've had my beta drawn but they said I won't get the results back until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest..... Good old NHS! But I can't complain. I really hope it's nice and high otherwise it's just going to make me worry even more Confused

Ah well at least only a wait till tomorrow, rose. I'm sure it'll be a cracking result given your FRERs. Don't forget to tell all of us the number too! Wink

I am a right Bloaty McBloatface today. Look about 5 months (rather than 5 minutes) pregnant. Also starting to feel a bit nauseous when I'm hungry. Though clearly this could all be psychosomatic, and I'm just quite hungry. Pfft.

stealthbanana · 15/06/2016 18:02

God NHS are so slow rose. Don't they know this stuff is URGENT?! As grumpel said I am sure you will be all good with those lovely dark lines.

grump embrace the bloat! And all the foodz!!

RoseBud2016 · 15/06/2016 18:26

Grumpel I'll join you on the "fatties bench"'Grin I am so bloated it is really quite ridiculous! I'm usually straight up and down (very few curves anywhere on me) And now look like I've eaten a horse..... Whole!

Vixxfacee · 15/06/2016 19:14

Progesterone apparently causes the bloating.

Stealth it is so sweet you are getting a little bump. Have you been thinking about names yet now you know it's a little boy.

stealthbanana · 15/06/2016 23:59

vixx my husband's family always names the first son of the first son the same first name. Which is annoying as I won't even have the fun of picking any first names if we do that! Am considering picking a fight and asking to break tradition and have the traditional name be a second name....

Vixxfacee · 16/06/2016 07:46

Or could you have the traditional name on the birth certificate and the baby known by the middle name of your choice? Is it at least a name you don't mind?

Good luck today Rose!

stealthbanana · 16/06/2016 09:19

That's what my husband does vixx - he's known by his second name. To be honest it is a massive faff, it causes all sorts of administrative headaches. We'll see!

Good luck rose!

Grumpelstiltskin · 16/06/2016 10:49

What, so you're NOT going with stealthini?! Grin

RoseBud2016 · 16/06/2016 16:11

It's 676 at 15dp5dt ...... I think it's safe to say that this is not going to end well again. Sad
I'm leaving work because I can't stop crying.

Rose I will say here what I just said to you. My clinic said anything over 100 is what they want to see.
That beta is good. It is not the number it's how it progresses!

Vixxfacee · 16/06/2016 16:25

Sorry Rose, I know it's shit but please don't give up.

Grumpelstiltskin · 16/06/2016 16:56

Rose I agree with Vixx that it's about how it progresses, so you don't have the data yet to see if you are jumping up exponentially every 48 hours or so, or hovering around the same/falling.

Look at the hcg range for 4 weeks and 5 weeks though below- you're well within that!

I'm sorry you're feeling so upset, every little bit of this process is so mentally draining and a total headfuck. Did you get any feedback from the docs? FlowersFlowers

stealthbanana · 16/06/2016 21:16

Oh god rose. Sorry you're so upset. Did the doc say anything?

Just looking at the betabase and that number is really ok. You're 2 days behind on a median number - and the lowest reported number for 20dpo is 26. 26!!!! I know it doesn't help, but please don't try to stress until you get the second test - you might just be a slow starter and everything is perfectly normal. Big hugs xxx

Grumpelstiltskin · 17/06/2016 10:02

Rose how are you today? Are you ok? X

stealthbanana · 17/06/2016 11:48

Hoping you're ok rose. Assume you'll be doing your second beta this morning, crossing everything for a really nice strong doubling xx

RoseBud2016 · 17/06/2016 12:16

Thanks all. Honestly- I just know this is going to be bad news. My gut instinct hasn't failed me yet so I'm preparing for the worst.

I'm at work although I am in no mood to talk to anyone (a bit difficult when you're a teacher). I'll be glad when I can go home and be openly miserable.

Reprofit have said that the beta number is viable in some women and that it doesn't necessarily indicate a definite problem. Obviously we wont know more until I get my second beta result from today, which sods law now wont be until Monday. JOY!

Thanks for your support though- I do appreciate it xxx

Oh rose. Did you ask them if they could expedite the bloods so you get a result today? So unfair that you have to wait a whole weekend.

Am sending the most positive of thoughts your way, I reckon sack off work as soon as humanly possible and go home and wallow. Am really hoping that lil rose is hanging in tight FlowersFlowers

Grumpelstiltskin · 19/06/2016 21:09

Rose, thinking of you and willing you on for good news tomorrow. Hope you've managed to have a decent weekend. Flowers

stealthbanana · 20/06/2016 10:31

Good luck today rose. Thinking of you Flowers

Vixxfacee · 20/06/2016 12:54

Rose I am guessing you won't get your results until after 4 pm today. I have everything crossed for you that your levels have risen and that baby bud is growing nicely. X

Hope you two and well stealth and grumpel. Congratulations on being in the second trimester stealth and I hope you can start to relax and enjoy growing your boy.

Grumpel hope things are progressing nicely for you. When is your scan booked for?

RoseBud2016 · 20/06/2016 15:57

You ladies really are the best! Thank you so much for being so great- I can't thank you enough. You will never know quite how important this thread has been to me in the last few months FlowersFlowersFlowers (these are thank you flowers not sympathy flowersGrin)

Well my results from Friday (when i was 17dp5dt) are in:

Progesterone: 49.6 nmol
HCG: 2128.0

That's a 32 hour doubling rate! Genuinely cannot believe it! Still so so scared but so relieved that we have had some positive news. And according to betabase we are about average now in terms of HCG levels!
