WANTED- cycle buddies who are ttc#1 and planning a FET in April/May

I'm in need of some buddies!

A long story short is that I have been ttc#1 for 19 months now. I have severe PCOS and don't ov or cycle naturally.
Last year I was told that DH and I would only have a chance of conceiving through IVF, after numerous other fertility treatments failed.

In February this year we had our first ISCI IVF cycle at Reprofit in the Czech Republic (DH has 2 DDs so we are not eligible for treatment on the NHS) We got 12 eggs, 8 fertilised and 6 made it to blasts! We had one transferred and fell pregnant! But at 4+4 blood tests confirmed that the pregnancy wasn't viable and at 5 weeks we had a very early mc (I hate the phrase CP as I think it trivialises it)

The last few weeks have been such a struggle physically and mentally but we are keen to try again so are planning another trip to Reprofit to be reunited with one of our Frosties!

Scared and excited in equal measures and would love some buddies to share in this new and unknown part of the 'journey' with. X

DP moaned and told me to stop wasting money on tests and wait for Tuesday! I don't think he gets it

That true. There's that thrill that comes from seeing something just there rather than holding it up to the window/ light c squinting trying to see anything at all!

Just come out of my scan. I'm cd8 and my lining is 8mm with a triple layer! Both ovaries are quiet.
Just waiting to hear back from Reprofit so we can get our flights booked.

Thanks lovelies! Flights are now booked... Monday 30th May to Thursday 2nd June. Transfer will either be 31st or 1st!

Good work rose! FETs are so much easier to schedule than fresh transfers. Excited for you!

Vixx I don't 'do' waiting around I've been looking at these flights since AF arrived and have been willing the price to stay down- got the last 2 seats at the lower price Woop!

I feel good. Just want to get going now- excited (and nervous about bum shots starting on Thurs )

That oestrogen has certainly done its job of beefing up your lining- amazing.
That'll be a nice comfy home for an embie for sure.

Must admit I'm a bit nervous of letting my own body do the work here with no reassuring wodge of drugs helping it along, but no reason (other than Sod's law) for me not to ov as usual this month I guess.
Am going away this weekend and taking approximately 636 OPKs with me. DH is posed to drive at speed back to London if any turn positive and I need to be scanned on Sunday instead!
Really though it should be around CD12/13 or tues/Wed so then the frostie goes back in five days after that. Will be all systems go around the same time as Rose.

I reckon I'll go back to work again the next day as I did last time. Can't bear the hanging around and being in my own head too much at home and am much more sedentary over the course of a day than a teacher!

Been baby bombed by one of my best friends. She sent a (blatantly ) positive test pic asking me if it's 1 line or 2 that means pregnant. I told her 2 lines and she said she had a fainter 1 two weeks ago.

She doesn't want it of course and is going to buy a bottle of wine (as she has no proof). I am really pissed off!

Reprofit have confirmed I won't need any more lining scan before we fly. Bonus! X

I'm in the hospital with the friend now. She's having a scan. It sounds weird but I feel like because she's pregnant that something is going to go wrong with me because I want mine and she doesn't.

Vixx what a good friend you are. I'm not sure I could be around someone right now who seems that insensitive to what's going on on your side. Is she aware of your situation?
It's so hard when you feel like you want it more than anyone and babies seem to happen instantaneously to everyone else whether they want one or not!

Still no positive OPK here, just did another after a fairly long car journey spent needing a wee the whole time! Scan tomorrow morning to see if I have a nice big follie though.

Hi Everyone,
I'm still here. Just had a crazy week at work plus needed some time out from thinking about infertility issue. I've now come to terms with my miscarriage and now thinking about plan B.

Vixx, Rose, stealth, Grumpel, I am really happy for you all. I will be celebrating with you all on your 3 months scan 😄
I have decided not to go any further with IVF. The IVF clinic said there was a strong possibility that the problem was with the quality of the embryos. Although they were grade? 5 and 6 when frozen, the fact that my eggs were harvested at age 40 would have affect the quality. The same day I also read a similar article on mindbodyfood.com website.

My DH and I are considering adoption - looking to start the process at the end of the year. Also, by the end of summer I intend to have my Fellopian tubes unblock on the NHS, carryout a fertility herbal flush to keep them open, get DH to address his low sperm count then leave the rest to nature 😊
