WANTED- cycle buddies who are ttc#1 and planning a FET in April/May

RoseBud2016 · 09/03/2016 17:49

I'm in need of some buddies! Smile

A long story short is that I have been ttc#1 for 19 months now. I have severe PCOS and don't ov or cycle naturally.
Last year I was told that DH and I would only have a chance of conceiving through IVF, after numerous other fertility treatments failed.

In February this year we had our first ISCI IVF cycle at Reprofit in the Czech Republic (DH has 2 DDs so we are not eligible for treatment on the NHS) We got 12 eggs, 8 fertilised and 6 made it to blasts! We had one transferred and fell pregnant! But at 4+4 blood tests confirmed that the pregnancy wasn't viable and at 5 weeks we had a very early mc (I hate the phrase CP as I think it trivialises it)

The last few weeks have been such a struggle physically and mentally but we are keen to try again so are planning another trip to Reprofit to be reunited with one of our Frosties! Smile

Scared and excited in equal measures and would love some buddies to share in this new and unknown part of the 'journey' with. X

I wrote a long message but it deleted.

Stealth are you ok?

Simmy I am having usual bloating since starting. My diet has been the same. I don't eat badly anyway. Bit worried now that I have no cramps.

I am feeling very positive for you and can't wait for your update tomorrow!

Simmy123 · 14/05/2016 18:17

Hi All, yes I was tempted to do a pregnancy test this morning but my Husband talked me out if it. The cramps I experienced last night was greater than I had experienced b4 so was a bit worried this morning. Not as bad now but they are continuous. I am now anxious about tomorrow. Will set my alarm for 7am Smile

Stealth, I will be thinking of you on Monday.

Vixx, again I can relate to what you are currently experiencing. It will be difficult but I would encourage you to carry on with your healthy eating, medication, taking it easy etc until your test date.

I knew by day 3 post transfer that my 2nd FET had failed. I still carried a glimmer of hope that my pregnancy test would have proven me wrong but my period appeared 3 days b4 my test date.

How I got from day 3 to test date was i reside myself to accepting from around day 6 post FET that it had failed.
By end of day 6, I had completed an extensive research on what I would do differently on my 3rd attempt to increase my chances of success and had set myself timescles. I forgot about if all for 6 months then started to work on preparing my body using alternative medicine / therapy. My timescale got delayed due to finances and and other reasons but when I started my 3rd FET process, I knew my body is in a much better place now than before.

I know a good alternative medicine therapist based near Richmond www.healthrestore.net
They are the one I turned to at first.
Paid £150.00 for their EIS Scan - which included a fertility scan, carried out using electromagnetic waves. It revealed problems about my fertility that I did not know b4 and also pointed out how to address them through food and natural herbs.

Just try to convince yourself that IF this attempt fails, you intend to do ALL you can to prepare your body naturally for your next attempt.
The plus for you is that you still have two embryos and 1or 2 two more attempts on the NHS ( depending on the no. of embryo you decide to put back) and that you are under 40yrs.
Try and relax for the rest of the weekend.

stealthbanana · 14/05/2016 18:21

Thanks vixx. I'm ok. Am actually out in the countryside this weekend as it's our wedding anniversary. So have had a nice day rambling around the woods and hanging in the spa (sadly no jacuzzi allowed) with DH! The blood appears to have stopped, am just getting a teeny bit of discharge when I wipe. So I guess I'll just hang on. 36 hours to go...!

How are you feeling?

simmy GOOD LUCK for tomorrow x

RoseBud2016 · 15/05/2016 07:19

Hi All,
Not good news, my pregnancy test was negative. Those bad cramps that I experienced Friday night into Saturday morning was the end of everything ☹️
Non I'm telling myself that I shouldn't have returned to work last Thrs.

RoseBud2016 · 15/05/2016 18:47

I'm so so sorry to hear that Simmy After everything you've been through in the run up to this, it is just so so cruel. I really hoped this was it for you. I hope you have people around you who can look after you?

Grumpelstiltskin · 15/05/2016 21:30

Hey ladies. Just catching up on everything after a MN-free weekend.

I'm so so sorry to hear your bad news, Simmy. It's so unfair to get that result after everything you've gone through and I'm thinking of you and your DH. I hope you can be kind to yourself - easier said than done of course but try not to blame yourself for anything you did or didn't do.
Sending you lots of Flowersand Chocolate

Stealth how are you doing? Hope you still managed to have a decent weekend away despite the worry. Crossing everything possible for you tomorrow. Come on stealthini!

RoseBud2016 · 16/05/2016 07:01

Stealth Hope you still managed to have a lovely weekend celebrating your anniversary. I saw on another thread where you went...... That's my neck of the woods! I can absolutely guess where you stayed- C.M?

Good luck with your scan today. I am keeping everything crossed for you and little Steathini!

Grumpel How are you getting on? Have you started your meds yet or are you doing a natural FET this cycle? I started Estrofem yesterday and have a lining scan booked for Friday.

Vixx how are you doing? Did you do something nice over the weekend? When is your OTD? X

RoseBud2016 · 16/05/2016 09:52

Stealth I have been there but it looks lush! If you fancy another trip sometime- try C.M it's pure bliss! Really hope you get the good news you're longing for today xxx

Vixx Brown spotting could be implantation at this stage! And that is definitely an early BFP!!!!!!!!! Smile Smile Smile Keep the faith my lovely xxxx

haven't been there- doh!

stealthbanana · 16/05/2016 13:55

vixx! That's a big fat line. Congratulations!!

rose CM looks amazing. I am hankering after chewton glen also but it is just so exorbitantly priced I can't bring myself to pay for it.

So just came from the doctor - we saw a little foetus and heard a nice strong heartbeat. They took my blood pressure BEFORE the scan and it was so high the doctor had to discard it - was stressed for obvious reasons! Am feeling relieved and overemotional, going home to rest for an hour as I've killed my body with stressy nerves I think! But stealthini lives!!

RoseBud2016 · 16/05/2016 14:14

Congratulations Stealth I had a feeling Stealthini was a strong one..... Just like it's Mum Smile

Grumpelstiltskin · 16/05/2016 14:34

Hooray hooray hooray! Work is being such an arse today and haven't managed to check for updates before now- so happy to get online and hear amazing news from both stealth and vixx!

That's definitely a good strong BFP for 6dpt! Agree with rose that spotting can be from implantation as well. So pleased for you vixx! You are officially up le duff.

And phew and yay for stealthini! Not sure I've ever been so invested in a scan that isn't mine Grin. Hope you can have a much more relaxed rest of the week now stealth

And I'm also going to have to try and decode your hotel chat via Google to get some ideas for a weekend break- sounds fab! Xxx

Vixxfacee · 16/05/2016 14:47

Thanks guys. Pregnant for now.

Congratulations stealth. I am so happy for you! Did you get a good pic?

stealthbanana · 16/05/2016 16:45

Hooray indeed vixx! You are pregnant! So very exciting.

grumpel haha thanks for your good wishes. Am so relieved. I can PM you the hotel name we went to as it was unbelievably good and definitely worth a visit. Even DH (who usually gets a bit grumpy old man What's-the-Point re spas) loved it.

Grumpelstiltskin · 16/05/2016 17:58

Ooh yes please stealth. Would be nice if we all got great weekend breaks out of this thread as well as babies! Grin

stealthbanana · 16/05/2016 18:20

Will PM you grumpel

vixx forgot to say that the doctor is going to send us the pictures. Can't wait to get them!

RoseBud2016 · 17/05/2016 19:44

How is everyone doing today after a few days of very mixed emotions?

Stealth did you get your pics yet? Hope the spotting has stopped now?!

Vixx I hope you've managed to take it nice and easy at work today? X

Simmy I hope you are ok and you and DH are taking good care of each other xxx

Grumpel this oral oestrogen is playing havoc with my stomach- random nausea most of today Angry How are you doing?

OP posts:
Grumpelstiltskin · 17/05/2016 20:02

Hey ladies. Happy Tues. I'm having a fun time googling door furniture tonight (the house renovation that never ends) rather than FET/IVF stuff which is a nice change.

Rose I'm a natural FET so just rolling along trying to decide when to start the OPKs. Prob tomorrow before first baseline scan on Thurs. The meds sure don't sound nice, poor you. Is the aim for them to mimic a natural ovulatory cycle and get your lining all plumped up?

Simmy if you're still reading I hope you're doing ok. Flowers

RoseBud2016 · 17/05/2016 20:14

Grumpel Sounds thrilling! Hmm Surely there is only so much goggling you can do of this fascinating topic Wink

Sorry- keep forgetting your doing a natural cycle. So does that mean you don't have progesterone support after ET either? I'm dreading the bottom injections.... Need to start getting DH trained for this with fruit before I let him loose on my arse!
Yes the oestrogen should plump things up nicely, alongside pomegranate juice, cayenne pepper, raspberry leaf tea and any other old wives tale I can implement in the coming days fingers crossed! My scan on Fri will confirm either way.

Grumpelstiltskin · 17/05/2016 20:23

I still get the funtime pessaries, never fear! Plus some Clexane just in case I'd been missing the stabbing.

We really are on the same timeline! You looking forward to the dildocam again? No, me neither.
