Hi,

Just trying to find someone who is at the same stage as myself. We have been ttc for almost 3 years now and after a lot of tests and back and forth, haven't found anything wrong, but for one reason or another we're still as childless as when we first started. And now we're finally at the stage of IVF.

Never thought we'd get here and now I'm actually getting a bit scared. I've got another 5 days of the pill. So injections will start on the 11th. So want this to go right. However not a big fan of needles, so about them too.

Anyone else who is going trough the same stage?

Just really hope 2016 is finally our year!

Gosh sounds though banana, great that you're getting the best support available! When are you testing?

Pink, I've got the same thing here, feeling a cold coming on and not much time off. So coming home after work and falling asleep on the sofa by 7. Kinda glad it's miserable outside today, can just stay in bed with Netflix. Let's hope it'll work to our advantageSmile

How you feeling youdo? Hope you're feeling better and not as down. Just let yourself worry at times....we all do. But as the others said 4am is not a great time, unfortunately that's when my body think it's time to wake up and my head starts working it's worrying way.

How are you feeling grump and keep? Coming to,terms with BFP?Smile

I'm trying not to read I'm to things too much. Finding myself with a cold and slight cramping, specially round 3-4 am when I wake up and need the loo....after that there's no way of going back to sleep. So frustrating. But Google has been very helpfulSmile it doesn't seems like the cramping is any worry at all. So trying to stay positive. This 2ww really is the worst! Testing on the 7th, so it's only been 3 days!!!! Feels like weeks!

banana that sounds tough, but you've obv had advice from the right people. Are you going to test on Monday? 9dp5dt will give you an answer for sure

Sympathies to all those finding the waiting tough, just count down the days...

I'm doing well, some cramping and a bit farty but that's all. I have a scan booked for the 19th when I should be 7+1, if all OK they would discharge me. Progesterone and clexane till 12 weeks. I'm feeling quite calm, desperately hoping it works of course but happy just to have got this far

Youdothatvoodoo · 30/01/2016 17:57

The last couple of days have been much better thanks. Writing in the diary helped & all your kind words of support. I'm away for a few days now with DH so that's taking my mind off things.

Funnily enough I've had a cold but it only lasted 2 days. Been feeling bloated and (mythical?!) cramps too. Well something's happening in there. Just hope it's the thing I'd love to happen!

Bananafish81 - any good film/series? I'm a horror/thriller fan & been watching American horror hotel lately. I think you are flippin amazing to be keeping sane while doing this & off pain meds. Amazing lady.

Misspz - my test is on 7th too. I'm dead nervous about doing it right now but think I'll just want to get on and know by the time it comes around. I haven't been sleeping well & had really vivid strange dreams.

Keep - glad all is going well so far & well done for keeping calm.

bananafish81 · 31/01/2016 08:58

Omg. Caved and tested early - today is 8dp5dt and OTD isn't till Thu (12dp5dt)

But a very solid BFP line on a FRER!!!

Grumpelstiltskin · 31/01/2016 09:57

Banana!!!!!!! Yay! So, so happy for you. Grinning like a loon! (This just autocorrected to 'grinding like a lion' wtf? HmmGrin)
What amazing news for our lucky little thread.

keepitgoing · 31/01/2016 13:47

Wowee congratulations!! Grin
God, I'm knackered...

Pinkheels · 31/01/2016 16:03

Banana that is absolutely ace!!! The bfp's keep on coming!
I'm still zonked out with a cold (and have been on the sofa since Friday). I've not had a single symptom despite madly symptom spotting and there's still a week and a day of this madness...

misspz · 31/01/2016 20:58

Banana!!!! Amazing news! So happy for you, the bfps just keep coming!

I don't know if I've hit symptoms or just imagining things.....still got light cramps to and fro and my breasts are so tender......but this is exactly how I am before my period as well....so might not be all positive. But fingers crossed

Youdothatvoodoo · 31/01/2016 22:29

Woohoo Banana - great news :)

bananafish81 · 01/02/2016 15:22

Thanks ladies! I'm grinding like a lion, haha. Going in for blood tests tomorrow and Thu, in the mean time I obviously am in NO way obsessively peeing on things Wink Hoping for some nice doubling on the betas!

Hope you're all surviving your 2ww ladies, thinking of you all Flowers

dessydee · 01/02/2016 23:25

Keep, Grump and Banana what amazing news!! Huge congratulations to you all and I so hope the news stays good over the coming weeks! So chuffed for you all!!!
Wednesday is D-day for me or should I say pee-day! These last 10 days have been the slowest I have ever known. Have had no spotting and no symptoms so not feeling massively positive and actually felt pretty low all last week but looking forward to knowing one way or the other.
Hope you girls are all hanging in there ok. Think of of you all. Xxx

Pinkheels · 02/02/2016 11:07

Dessydee, I'm the same- the days are going by so so slowly! I'm 7dp5t (if I've written that right) and just feeling really helpless. I'm having a lot of cramping but it was the same last time and that was a bfn. Last time AF arrived 2 days before the test date and I'm scared it's going to be the same this time argh.... Roll on next Monday and test day....

misspz · 02/02/2016 19:53

Best of luck to us ladies that are left in limboSmile

I'm going absolutely nuts here I'm 6dp5dt now, and not sure if I have signs or just reading in to things too much. The cramping and huge boobs are hard to imagine. But the rest I think is more to do with nerves...like being extremely tired. But the cramping and boobs part is the same as before AF so don't know if it means something or not.

How did you ladies feel pre BFP? No idea what to think anymore

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 02/02/2016 21:26

miss I had to ignore my boobs as they were big and sore even before transfer. I felt and feel normal, just tired. I did have and do have slight twinges/cramps but I think they're v easy to conjure in one's imagination. There really is no way but to wait, and it's awful. When will you test?

My scan isn't for 17 more days. It's all about the waiting isn't it...

Good luck for tomorrow dessy x

dessydee · 02/02/2016 22:03

God this day has been the slowest ever. I know I'm well out of the lingo here but what does 6dp5dt and AF stand for?!! I am so tired but so doubtful I'll sleep! Xx

Grumpelstiltskin · 02/02/2016 22:20

Argh, sympathising with you ladies suffering the 2ww. It's shit!
As keep says, then there's a wait all over again for the scan so it's even more of the same! Don't know how most people wait the full 12weeks. Time is still going at a glacial pace here too, in solidarity with you all.

Miss, I felt totally normal and pmt-ish all the way through 2ww, though actually with slightly less sore boobs than i usually get- and they're still only a bit tender round the sides and a bit bigger-feeling, not super-painful.
I was convinced AF was about to show at least three times- had classic heavy stomach and low cramping etc. The whole world seems to say they have classic AF symptoms before BFP, innit, and apparently it's true for me, too.

Then the night before my BFP (7dp5dt) was woken up by strong dragging cramps, enough for me to have to do some yogi breathing and take paracetamol. They felt different enough to AF though for me to test the next morning, and got strong BFP. I had had a blinding white bfn two days previously though . Blush

Now am massively bloated and a bit twingy. No other symptoms yet, except a bit of middle of the night insomnia. Still hard to believe there's a growing bunch of cells in there.

Dessy everything crossed for you for tomorrow. Really hope it's good news.

Banana how was your blood test? And you get another one this Thurs too- to check HCG levels going up nicely I presume? How are you feeling overall?

Grumpelstiltskin · 02/02/2016 22:29

Dessy AF is Aunt Flo, the dpt lingo is short for 5 days post 5 day transfer, for eg, so thats the equivalent of 10 days post-ov, or in our cases, the forced trigger and egg collection.

Hope you can get some rest. Thinking of you!

bananafish81 · 02/02/2016 22:35

good luck for tomorrow dessy - 6dp5dt means 6 days post 5 day transfer, and AF is ‘aunt flo’ aka your period

pink hoping the fanjo bullets keep AF away and that the cramping is a good sign for you. Everything crossed!

misspz you are doing great! Like grump I also felt very period-y, had some definite cramping going on, but I was telling myself it had to be the progesterone rather than mythical implantation cramping (whilst obviously desperately hoping)

I’m still cramping on and off, currently only 10dp5dt, so not exactly in the throes of early pregnancy (it is so so weird to type that)

I’ve never had sore boobs in my life, don’t get them before AF, but now my boobs are absolutely killing me (though that might just be because I’m not used to them) - that only kicked in after I got my BFP on 8dp5dt.

So completely bizarre, when I told DH he said he had had a feeling it was going to be good news, as he said there was just ‘something about your face’ (!!). Then last night I see my brother and SIL,they live abroad so I’ve not seen them in a few months. He asks if I have had something done, as apparently I look ‘different’. They knew I was having treatment but I told them we wouldn’t get results till later in the week. Except apparently they were already convinced I was upduffed - WTF? Have I got a badge on my forehead that I don’t know about?!!!!

Hope you’re both doing OK grump and keep

First blood tests (hCG and progesteron) today all looked good - second beta in 2 days time, then I guess there’s a scan in 2-3 weeks time? I never actually asked what happened if I got a BFP!

keepitgoing · 03/02/2016 07:59

dessy thinking of you

grump when's your scan? Mine is 19th then I have booked in at the gp for 25th, can cancel if all goes wrong but I thought better to get in with the nurse

Grumpelstiltskin · 03/02/2016 10:02

Keep my scan is 17th, when I'll be 6+5. Did seem a bit early but I assume they know what they're doing and will be able to see what they need to! Only two weeks to go Confused
Need to ring GP actually, still haven't got round to it!

dessydee · 03/02/2016 11:52

Hi ladies, just to let you know it was negative. Totally gutted. Xx

bananafish81 · 03/02/2016 12:15

dessy massive hugs. Hope you and your partner can be kind to yourselves. We're all thinking of you xxx

keepitgoing · 03/02/2016 12:53

Oh dessy I'm so sorry x

keepitgoing · 03/02/2016 13:03

Did you get any frosties?

Grumpelstiltskin · 03/02/2016 17:00

So sorry dessy. Sending you lots of love. Thanks
