Hi,

Just trying to find someone who is at the same stage as myself. We have been ttc for almost 3 years now and after a lot of tests and back and forth, haven't found anything wrong, but for one reason or another we're still as childless as when we first started. And now we're finally at the stage of IVF.

Never thought we'd get here and now I'm actually getting a bit scared. I've got another 5 days of the pill. So injections will start on the 11th. So want this to go right. However not a big fan of needles, so about them too.

Anyone else who is going trough the same stage?

Just really hope 2016 is finally our year!

The clinic said to ring in after I've tested today and that I would have a 7 week scan but no mention of a blood test. Maybe they'll book one when I ring tomorrow?

I didn't have one either - I just have the 7 week scan too!

pink much love and hugs and good luck for tomorrow, thinking of you and DH (who sounds like a v wise man) Thanks

Huge congrats youdo - thrilled for you!

Welcome tap!

Hope everyone is well?

I've got a repeat blood test tomorrow - second beta looked good, hCG hadn't quite doubled but it had gone up 70%, which Dr says is fine - apparently as long as it doubles within 48-72h it's on track. Asked me to do another on Mon just to be sure. Then I guess after that will be a scan at some point in the next couple of weeks, if all is increasing as it should (obv not in any way serial POAS to check the line isn't getting any lighter, nooooo. Ahem.)

Banana - how did your repeat blood test go?

Not much happening with me lately. Def no blood test so need to wait for a scan on 1 March. Am still in shock and not quite believing it but trying to remain calm and positive. It's not really working but it's the best I can do. Not feeling many symptoms - couple of twinges now & again & very, very tired is all.

Hope everyone is ok.

tap I absolutely nailed the protein, as advised by my Dr. I got so bored of eggs for my eggs! Loads of water and milk - though the water wasn't a problem because the stims bloat made me so thirsty if I wasn't by the water cooler I was running to the loo! I wouldn't use aspirin unless directed by your Dr...

youdo bloods were good thanks - after a slightly sluggish start it picked up the pace and was doubling nicely. Scan booked for 23rd Feb

Hope everyone else is doing OK. Xx

That's lovely news, youdo! Glad all is going well.

Sadly I had bad news at my 9wk scan on Friday so trying to get my head around starting again once I get through the next few weeks.

Hope everyone else is ok.

10w scan this morning showed our baby has gone. Missed miscarriage SadSaw a beautiful heartbeat at 7+1 and 8+5 but baby measured 9+3 so it died mid/late last week. Utterly heartbroken.

Oh fuck, banana, I've just seen this. I am so, so, so sorry. It's utterly shit and devastating and undeserved (not that anyone deserves this). You have been so wonderful and supportive previously to so many of us so please let me know if there's anything I can do. I get it. My heart's breaking for you. ThanksThanks

Thanks ladies for all your messages of support. It means a lot.

Consultant got me booked in as an emergency day case and did the ERPC early evening. Got his anaesthetist in specially. So unbelievably grateful to have been able to get it done quickly as I couldn't bear having to go home and wait, with my dead baby still inside me. It's done. I'm home now. Physically, I'm fine. Mostly I'm just numb. DH is utterly broken - we've sobbed and snotted all over each other.

Having the tissue testing done on the 'products of conception' to see if that will give us any answers, find out results and next steps in a few weeks when I see consultant for follow up.

Thanks again ladies xxx

Banana you have helped me on another thread but this is your latest update so wanted to post here. I hope all the regulars here don't mind.

I just want to say again how very very sorry I am for the loss of your baby. I have loved following your recent success and details of how you dramatically increased your egg count and quality between two cycles.

You won't remember me as you help so many of us, but I am the one who is on holiday and utterly ignorant of what all this involves as my first time. I am 40 with one son, and desperate to have another baby.

It is you that got me focused on my process in a meaningful way, you who told me what to read, to eat, to drink, supplements to take, how to think about it....you who reassured me that my apparently plummeted AMH with an ok AFC does not have to be bad news. It is you that has engaged and motivated me and since then I have combed the threads for your wisdom and reassurance. I think you are a goddess and I hope to continue to follow your story to motherhood.

Thank you so much for helping me, and I reach out to you with great warmth while you and your DH understand your miscarriage. You deserve to be a mother and what a beautiful one you will be.

I started my 450iu Gonal F last night and will return from holiday to London for my first scan at the Lister in Friday. I hope I can continue to update you and learn from you once you feel ready to re-engage. I find your knowledge and outlook absolutely invaluable. X

Thank you for lovely messages of support ladies. I hope you are all doing well whatever stage of the infertility rollercoaster you are at now

I had the ERPC last week and will have a follow up with the Dr in 2.5 weeks time. The Dr who did all my IVF did my ERPC, he was absolutely lovely, he really does come with you on every stage of the journey.

I am hoping to cycle again as soon as we are allowed to go again. We have four frosties but am minded to try another fresh cycle to try PGS, to hopefully avoid miscarrying again. Will see what the Dr says.

Perhaps will see some of you ladies on the cycle buddies thread for whatever month it is we get back in the saddle! Xx
