Certainly hoping for a miracle for you miracle. That feeling you are experiencing returns to me so vividly as I read your post and I know there is nothing I can say to fix it.. Keep us posted. xox.

waiting, will be waiting for your update too! I can understand you must be feeling quite negative with your negative tests. It always helped me to have a plan B up my sleeve so that I didn't fall to pieces if a cycle failed (although I still fell to pieces anyway!) And if I remember right you still have embryos frozen? You'll have to remind me of how many and what day they are at again. It's been such a long journey with all your waiting to recover. The usual two week wait has turned into months of waiting for you so I can imagine the build up to this point and the big crash down if it hasn't worked, despite your plan B. We are here whatever the outcome.

Vixx - sounds like you have responded well with 10 eggs expected to be retrieved from one ovary alone! Funny, I hear these stories and I still feel jealous as my record number of mature eggs was a measly 5 - even though it obviously doesn't matter anymore! I guess it just would have been less heartache if I had a good crop from one retrieval instead of having to do so many cycles due to so few eggs. Here's hoping your good crop certainly means you have success.

Still waiting for the call

I have two day two embryos frozen. Not sure how I feel about them as I feel that the clinic should have frozen them on day 3 (or better still day5) but they were very hasty to just get something in the freezer I think.
No idea what the success rates with day 2 embryos will be and they were not the best quality so I don't know what to think. I was told they had fragmentation but they froze them anyway then one a day later which was top quality (the one I had transferred)

I found out a few days after the transfer that I have thyroid antibodies so not sure if that will change my treatment next time. I think our plan will be to try again with the day 2 embryos. Part of me wonders can the clinic thaw them and possibly culture to day 5 then do a transfer and I'm also considering if they won't do that asking to have both transferred next time.
So much to think about though

I had 26 eggs retrieved which was so much more than expected. Feeling positive right now but they warned me that numbers could still be low.

ive just got back from half 7 this morning, few complications so was kept in longer, but managed to get 14 eggs. im bleeding and very sore, strangely sore in bowel area rather than ovaries. on a mix of injections and tablets and have to have ohss tests. over next few days.

fingers crossed for good eggs and fertilisation. (always summat to worry about)

Not sure, our follow up is on 13 November but dh thinks rather than do fet cycles with the day 2 embryos we have we should do another full cycle and see if we better better quality day 3 or 5 embryos to transfer

I just feel so deflated today but maybe next time it will work

14 is great! I feel sore as well and can't stand straight. Feels like severe constipation! Fingers crossed we get some fertilised tomorrow.

Just got a call and 16 have fertilised so that's great news.

waiting, for my second last IVF I had one day 3 transfer of two embryos (which resulted in m/c) and had a 3rd still alive on day 3 but behind at only 6 cells. The clinic asked if I would like to freeze that day (day 3) or wait until day 5. I couldn't make a decision that quick and asked the question if they freeze it on day 3, can they then grow it on to day 5 before transfer if I decide on a day 5 transfer next time and the reply was yes. So it is definitely a possibility, but I guess just depends on your clinics preference. If you don't go ahead with a fresh cycle, the idea of transferring both next time does sound like a wise decision to save you the money of two FET cycles and also to save you an extra cycle of frustration if you are not confident of quality anyway. Sounds like your hubby is supportive and involved in the process, so I'm glad you have his support at this time.

Vixx, 26 is heaps!!! Obviously they found the second hiding ovary! And 16 fertilised embryos must be an IVF record too! When will you next get an update?

Wow vixx 16 fertilised that is amazing. Your so lucky. And to think that you were so worried just a week ago. You done great. So pleased for you. Fingers crossed you get some top grade blasts out of them which I'm sure you defiantly will.

The doctor said they will decide on day 3/5/6 when to fertilise but I'm not really sure what they decide that on. I am just praying that at least one makes it. Having a frozen cycle so I have to wait 3months for the next process.

out of 14 eggs, we got 5 to fertilise. bit worried/panicky/but positive. theyre going to ring again tomorrow with update.

feel totally fine today, just very constipated. what can i take? also, still bit of bleeding.

doing fresh IF i dont get poorly with OHSS, have to have blood tests n monitor my fluid intake / outgoing in jugs, nice!

no, dont have coconot water, but had a cup of prune juice, YAK. id feel tonnes better if i could poo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well done Bessie I had 5 fertilise out of 10. I was a little disappointed at first but it only takes one. Relax now and take it easy.
