I'm sure we have a very different perspective on feeling queasy banana than those who've conceived at the drop of a hat. Your Dr sounds thorough in doing a repeat hCG on Monday just to be sure. Hopefully it's the start of another 35 weeks of close monitoring (because yes, you do sound like you're a complicated case!) until you meet your little banana!

Let us know how you get on with your phone call waiting. I'm assuming they tested your progesterone levels and the phone call will give you a definite answer as to whether you ovulated or not, and hence if the cyst seen in the scan was in fact a corpus luteum. I do know that the first time my regular 24-26 day cycles went haywire for 3 cycles in a row was when I first got DH's sperm diagnosis and got myself all stressed out about needing IVF. So for my body, there was a definite correlation between my cycles and stress. So I'm glad you're doing what you can to help with your walking and acupuncture if that helps... because I know forgetting is impossible!

Big hugs waiting - great news about your TSH but not so great about your niggling, really hope the scan gets to the bottom of things and it’s nothing sinister

Hope you can have a relaxing weekend, and enjoy some of those delicious sounding muffins you made!

My TSH had actually gone up to 2.04 from 0.73 so it's not that that's causing issues with af (I don't think) the Dr is going to call me today as they want to discuss with me the results and I'm going to ask them to maybe fit me in for a scan again as I really don't feel great. My left side is niggling and I'm wondering if I just have a 'normal' rather than corpus luteum cyst that's throwing everything out of line.

Hope everyone else is ok x

waiting keeping everything crossed for your blood test results

Anything to relax you can only be a good thing - I did acupuncture and reflexology, I'm unconvinced as to whether they actually do anything in and of themselves but they made me feel as though I was doing something proactive and chilled me right out, which to me was well worth it.

Weight wise totally agree. My Dr told me I needed to put on quite a bit of weight before TTC as I was v underweight at the time, and as the body needs body fat to ovulate, being too skinny isn't any better than being too big. Sounds like you have everything in hand to be in absolutely tip top condition for getting your embryo on board. Will you have one or both transferred?

bessie I'm so so sorry to hear about your obstetric history, you've been through so so much. I'm so pleased you're getting the right care and monitoring - sounds like you're in excellent hands.

Second beta was yesterday: hCG hasn't quite doubled but it's gone up 70%, which Dr says is fine - apparently as long as it doubles within 48-72h it's on track. Was 299, then 509 two days later. Wants to do another on Mon just to be sure. Felt a little bit queasy yesterday and never been so delighted to feel a bit 'off' in my life!!

yeah banana yes im high risk. high risk consultant care is just much better care, much more frequent appointment and scans and blood tests ect. im been seen every 4 weeks for thyroid, growth scans ect ect ect. its much reassuring too. (previous stillbirth at 42 weeks, then later ds stopped growing at 33 weeks, my thyroid is an arsehole, stuff like that)

have u had your repeat HCG? x x

Had my blood test today, results should be in the morning

Ive decided to begin acupuncture again and up my reflexology to twice a week. I've been worrying myself reading up on day 2 embryos (we have two) and I feel a bit negative about the chances of success but tbh I can't even get af so am probably getting ahead of myself at the moment
I'm eating really healthily and maintaining my weight between 9.5-10 stone (it's difficult but at 9 stone my bmi was a bit low and I feel better when I'm at least 9.5 stone), taking folic acid and iron supplements as I often get anaemic and trying to go for a walk everyday to stay healthy. I think I need to feel like I'm doing something positive at least whilst I'm waiting for AF

waiting I'm loving shellster's username idea - damn right it's your turn next. I hope your FET rolls around soon and that we're both rubbing our massive bellies and whinging about swollen ankles this summer Flowers

shellster I'm classified as high risk because I have epilepsy - although I'd imagine my spinal issues probably don't help matters. Anyone with epilepsy is automatically considered high risk and requires extra monitoring I believe. Now is the scary time for the embryo as it's this week that the neural tube forms, and the risk of neural tube defects is increased amongst women on anti epilepsy drugs. I wasn't allowed to start TTC until I had 3 months of prescription strength folic acid under my belt. The high risk bit is more about ensuring the condition is well managed as the risk of birth defects is still very low - the drug I'm on requires monitoring as the hormones of pregnancy can affect its metabolism, so the dose might need to be increased at some point. My neurologist said to come back if there was even 'a hint of pregnancy' so I've made a provisional appt to see him, pending the next beta. I'm not the most straightforward patient!!

Is it being off your pain meds that puts you in the high risk category banana? I can only imagine that consultant led vs midwife led could only mean more regular and thorough checks at each appointment... which could only be a reassuring thing that all is well after what you've been through to get pregnant.

Waiting, perhaps you'll have to change your name to myturnnext. I have to change my password at work every couple of months and used to try to make it something positive about my upcoming IVF and TRIED to believe it every time I had to type it in.

Glad it went well bessie

Wow banana it must be true about 'the glow' if people can tell already!!

Thanks shellster I hope it is my turn soon. Didn't quite think my username would end up being quite so accurate it was just how I felt at the time (and most of other names I picked were in use!) but I really do feel impatient and I am sick of waiting!
I feel like the last one left :(

Haha bessie I told them if they were so bloody mystic could they please tell me the winning lottery numbers!

So pleased appt went well. Are you classed as high risk? I ask because I know I'm high risk and was told I'd have to have consultant led antenatal if I ever got pregnant, and never dared find out what that involved vs 'normal' midwife led antenatal. Hopefully I'll find out in due course! Xx

waiting glad they’re going to look into your bloods and hope they can get the bottom of things. Realise it will seem like little comfort as I know how frustrating the endless waiting is, but perhaps there will be a silver lining to the delayed AF if it’s uncovered a potentially wonky thyroid level - better to discover that now before the FET. Really hoping you get some answers

thanks waiting bessie and shellster you ladies are the best

It definitely doesn’t feel real - tbh until we see a heartbeat I won’t really believe it’s happening

Although my (.)(.) have taken on a life of their own - never had sore boobs in my life, don’t get them before AF, but now they’re are absolutely killing me (though that might just be because I’m not used to them)

So completely bizarre, when I told DH he said he had had a feeling it was going to be good news, as he said there was just ‘something about your face’ (!!). Then on Monday I saw my brother and SIL,they live abroad so I’ve not seen them in a few months. He asked if I have had something done, as apparently I looked ‘different’. They knew I was having treatment but I told them we wouldn’t get results till later in the week. Except apparently they were already convinced I was upduffed - WTF? Have I got a badge on my forehead that I don’t know about?!!!!

It's official banana! Must feel a bit of a dream after all previous tests indicating low ovarian reserve and low hope of success. Now here you are with an embryo growing inside you and frosties for the future!!!!

Now it's your turn waiting. You've certainly lived up to your name. Glad you are getting a blood test. I always found that doing practical things like that rather than just waiting and wondering helped keep me slightly more sane. And it sounds like a good thing if the Dr is also going to monitor your TSH so that it can be optimal for when your FET cycle finally arrives.

Booked in for bloods thurs. consultant said he is going to repeat TSH too as thinks it may be that keeping AF away. My last result was 0.73 but he said if it's dropped lower I may be getting hyperthyroid symptoms and has advised reducing my dose from tomorrow and they will see if that helps and what results are.
Looking the symptoms up I do seem to have a lot so amwondering if my dose was too high. Ideal range is 1-2

Hope you get good news soon banana from your bloods !

Norethisterone and provera are slightly different kinds of progestins - both can be used to bring on a bleed but provera is the more usually prescribed one, and norethisterone is indeed the one that can be taken to delay periods. Same but different!

Just had my first beta and progesterone bloods taken, squeaky bum time as we wait for the results! X
