Hi ladies. I'm home now. So we have 1 good quality embryo on board. Apparently this embryo chose itself. Out of the 5 we had, 1 was good (that's the one on board) 1 was just behind that that one. And 1 slightly more behind that one but all 3 were blasts.
The other 2 were only at day 3.
Clinic can possibly freeze the other 2 blasts we will find that out in next couple of days. As for the other 2 that are only at day 3 they are going to give them 24hrs to see if they catch up which is a possibility they said.
Anyway I'm just glad transfer went well and we have a good embryo on board. So happy Smile

Sorry your having a hard time Bessie. Really hope you get a good outcome at the end. There is still time. Fingers crossed for you

Elektra83 · 12/10/2015 17:08

Fingers crossed for you both Miracles and bessie

Thanks lil and waiting! I rang the clinic and they told me the date for down regging...turns out it's the date I'm out of the country! So will need to call back tomorrow and speak to the nurse about it all. Hopefully they will be able to see me the following day.

Great news miracles ! When is your otd? Mine is 21st and I have to have a beta hcg.
Does your clinic do blood or do you have to do a test at home?

So excited for you to be in the 2ww as well!

bessie84 · 12/10/2015 18:09

Thanks everyone for your kind words. 23rd is my otd and have to do hpt then ring them with results.

patch77 · 12/10/2015 18:57

Did my test and there was a positive there. Hoping that it sticks then have scan in 3 weeks. Going to be a long wait, I thought these two weeks were bad

Waitingimpatient · 12/10/2015 18:57

How much rest did your doctor recommend after ET miracles?

I was just told no heavy lifting/hot baths/saunas etc but have been resting quite a bit as have felt really tired and I'm a bit over anxious! I'd be interested to know what other clinics advise as I've read conflicting things online

Waitingimpatient · 12/10/2015 18:58

Congratulations patch !!!

MiraclesDoHappen82 · 12/10/2015 19:59

Congratulations patch.

Waiting* my information just says " it isn't necessary to go to bed or rest continually for the next two weeks. How ever you should avoid heavy lifting or strenuous activity"
Put feet up for a little time each day.

I'm planning on taking it easy for the next two days then I will start going out etc.

I haven't been told about hot baths sauna etc by my clinic, although I have read that somewhere in my many hours of googling previously.

lildottie · 12/10/2015 20:10

Congrats patch

I was told to rest as much as possible 2-3 days post transfer (not stay in bed but to just chill and not do alot) and then to take it easy and not overdo it in the rest of tww. Was also told not to swim due to infection risk, which theyve told me to carry on not doing since bfp. I was also told no sex and no orgasms! They did say light exercise if you're used to it was ok after the first few days post et.

Waitingimpatient · 12/10/2015 20:36

I've rested quite a bit but I notice if I'm on my feet too long especially today the tops of my legs and lower abdomen are achy
May just be where I was a bit tense though during the transfer when I started to feel unwell I think I was tensing up trying to get through it as I don't want them to stop and not do it so I didn't say anything till I felt really bad so it's probably that!

calcium123 · 12/10/2015 21:47

Did any of u have nhs funded ivf? I really need some advice on the gp referral part

patch77 · 12/10/2015 21:54

I did. Before referral had tests, then we had hospital monitoring on clomid then ivf ref sent in June, had initial presentation and meeting with consultant in July, took first injection in August, egg collection and transfer September. All very quick

calcium123 · 12/10/2015 22:00

We have had semen analysis tests and we can go foward for a referral from the gp to have nhs treatment. That's great it was all quick for u!! We r having amazing trouble being referred It's taking so long. We went there a week ago and they still haven't done it I called and they said it takes a while and there is 100 people for referrals and we have to wait until our name comes up. Did ur gp refer u quickly and did they tell u what hospital. Hope all that made sense

Vixxfacee · 12/10/2015 22:06

I started cetrotide today after being on gonal f for 5 days. No big follicles yet. I spilled some cetrotide as the mixing of the stuff is a pain. Feel like I have ruined my chance already.

calcium123 · 12/10/2015 22:13

Sorry vixxface I can't relate to that part yet I'm so early in process. Keep positive do you have any feedback for me in your journey

patch77 · 12/10/2015 22:18

The referral from gp to Fert unit at nhs hospital was about 3 months, started on clomid late December 2014, they only gave me 4 months. After that failed in April had to have an interview with nurse and lots of forms. We had to choose clinic from a list of 5 that our pct use, then 3 week wait.

calcium123 · 12/10/2015 22:25

Thank you Patch77 now I know it's usual to have such a wait for a referal that I thought was a quick and easy procedure. I can relax a little now and not feel as frustrated. How far in your journey are u. I also read that medicine is to be administered ourselves

lildottie · 12/10/2015 22:32

calcium its different everywhere. I had bloods/dh had sa and we were sat in fc a month after results were back, but it then took another 9months before we started our first ivf cycle. Clinic did ultrasound and hsg (xray to check tubes). Don't worry about injections, its easier than it sounds.

patch77 · 12/10/2015 22:33

I'm scared of needles so was dreading the injections, but did them all myself and it was easy. Just had positive home test. First positive ever, after first cycle too. Was on buserlin, gonal f, ovitrelle now Crinone gel.

calcium123 · 12/10/2015 22:37

Thanks lildottie If worse came to worse could I keep being a pain and visiting the gp for each one however I'm not sure on the amount. The process is quite long isn't it. I have been trying desperately to find out if u are allowed to go private until u are seen thru nhs. As we have money to pay for two cycles in the mean time but we don't want it to effect out future nhs cycles. Does anyone know about this

calcium123 · 12/10/2015 22:38

No way Patch77 that's amazing news !!!!! This is your first cycle that's so great !!! And I'm scared to but they sound easy and worth it by the sounds of it :)

bessie84 · 13/10/2015 07:54

vixxface on our very first cetrotide, we spilled a bit too, dont worry, its only your first, theyre an absolute arsehole to mix arent they. honestly dont worry. we havent spilled any since. x
