Wow miracles congrats on being PUPO! So excited for you.

patch amazing!! That’s brilliant news. huge congratulations!

Bessie keeping everything crossed for you. My consultant also told me loads of water and lots of protein whilst stimming. My follies went on a bit of a growth spurt right at the end, so they absolutely could be biding their time. At EC my consultant said my follies had had ‘a productive weekend’ as they’d grown way faster between my last scan and EC than they had at any point during the stimming phase.

Vixx we spilled the Cetrotide too. First time we also squirted a load out by accident as we tried to get rid of an air bubble before we’d swapped over the mixing needle for the injecting needle. Flew out like a bloody fountain!

Thanks lildottie and waiting. Apparently CRGH does all its donor egg cycles using frozen rather than fresh eggs, and they’re pretty strict about their stats (they’re not as strict as ARGC, but they have an FSH cut off, and wouldn’t have taken me as a patient, for example, for fear of buggering their stats). So they obv feel using frozen eggs has a reasonable chance vs fresh, which is reassuring.

The proof of quality will be once fertilised, we don’t know yet how far the high FSH may have affected quality as well as quantity. So only one way to find out really!

calcium def worth checking the rules on NHS funding within your trust. I know many count a private cycle towards your overall NHS allowance, so a private cycle now may well reduce your NHS funding to one cycle. It may not, but def worth checking the criteria where you are x

lildottie · 13/10/2015 11:00

calcium i was also offered a choice of 3 clinics to go to in my county, so worth checking out the HFEA website for stats on waiting lists near you.

bessie84 · 13/10/2015 11:49

Thanks for that Banana its nice to know that their is still time to rescue this. ive upped with water (already doing the protein) feel sick with nerves for scan weds morning, but what will be, will be. :-)

Glad to hear I'm not the only one!
Congratulations to the bfp's.

How many follicles did everyone have at 5 days gonal f.

I am worried as they couldn't really see anything apart from a 10 mm. So feel like it's over ! No symptoms either.

Waitingimpatient · 13/10/2015 14:44

After 5 days of final and due to pcos I had a huge number of follicles probably around 30 but varying sizes so it wasn't ideal

Waitingimpatient · 13/10/2015 14:45

Final ? Should say gonal

Vixxfacee · 13/10/2015 15:12

30! That's great. Mine is very poor then. I don't know why as I have pcos too and before they said I had loads of eggs.

MiraclesDoHappen82 · 13/10/2015 15:55

Not sure if my experience helps vixx because I was on menopur on max dose. On my 5 day scan I had 5 follies then 5 days later I had 7. 2 days after that I had collection and they managed to collect 10 eggs. I was very surprised that we got that many as was not expecting that.

MiraclesDoHappen82 · 13/10/2015 16:01

Also on day 5 of stims mine were 11mm, 8 mm and 6mm.

Waitingimpatient · 13/10/2015 17:37

Not had a good day:( had results from bloods I had done back in early September. It seems I have thyroid antibodies which is what's making my TSH level troublesome.

Reading up about it it seems it can cause other problems especially miscarriage so now I'm worried as i didn't know till today and I'm wondering if my tread r would have been different if they'd known about these results?

I'm so glad I decided to take the aspirin as that apparently helps but most people have it alongside other medications so Iam panicking a bit that his cycle will be ruined before its started due to this.
I'm annoyed as I went private for the tests and I've been chasing the results for weeks if only I'd known a week ago I could have let the clinic know. Going to call them in morning but expecting it's too late to change anything now

I feel so fed up

CuppaTeaAndAJammieDodger · 13/10/2015 17:46

Hi all, reading all your posts with interest as I'm still right at the beginning of my IVF journey. Congratulations to all those who have had +ve's!

Just a question - I had a day 1-3 blood test yesterday, they called me to say the results were "spot on" which I'm sure is a good thing but I don't actually know what they were testing for! Can anyone enlighten me?

Have a mid cycle scan and immune tests booked for next week.

lildottie · 13/10/2015 18:04

waiting there are clinical trials going on in my area for that. Fc put me forward when I mc but I didn't have the abs so wasn't a suitable candidate. May be worth asking about when u phone clinic though not sure if trial is just here (Devon)

lildottie · 13/10/2015 18:06

Just remembered it's called TABLET, list of hospitals taking part here but not sure if you'd qualify because of elevated levels.

lildottie · 13/10/2015 18:07

Hi cuppa, I didn't have day3 bloods but think they test lh and FSH levels to check ovarian reserve/quality.

lildottie · 13/10/2015 18:07

cuppa I'd ask for a print of the results

Waitingimpatient · 13/10/2015 18:56

I'm just so upset I didn't know a week ago as I'm concerned it'll either affect my result now or if by some miracle it works I may end up having a mc
Trying to be positive that I'm on levothyroxine and aspirin but everything I read mentions things like prednisolone and clexane and other things I've not had

lildottie · 13/10/2015 19:56

waiting the thing most likely to cause a mc right now is how stressed out you are. You need to relax. Try the Zita west CD, it really helped me to calm down and focus on being positive. Pm me and I'll send you details if you want.

calcium123 · 13/10/2015 20:53

Does anyone know anyone who went abroad for ivf

bananafish81 · 13/10/2015 22:21

Hi Cuppa Day 3 bloods measure FSH, LH and Oestradial (Oestrogen). The FSH is the most important, as the higher the FSH the less responsive to stimulation the ovaries are. Most if not all clinics will insist on it to help identify the correct dosage of stims (amongst other measures). Most NHS trusts also have a cut off: most trusts won't fund anyone with FSH over 15 (me, for example), and some private clinics have cut offs too. CRGH wouldn't have accepted me with my FSH of 17.6 (although they would have done when my FSH was 9.5 in Sept - under 10 is 'normal'), whilst ARGC won't let anyone cycle with them until their FSH is under 10. If your levels are normal, that means all is dandy!! Smile

CuppaTeaAndAJammieDodger · 14/10/2015 09:29

Thanks tonnes littledottie & bananafish81 - you lot are pretty clued up!

bessie84 · 14/10/2015 09:49

waiting your you get sorted soon, pisses me right off, esp when you go private and theyre not arsed and you have to chase things up. dont worry, now you have the results, you can do something. think positive chicken. (((hugs))) i have thyroid disease, have had it for 11 years, im on thyroxine.

Todays scan - im on day 12 of stimms - went much better, we have 7 follies, (only had 2 on monday at 7/8mm) still small at 10mm / 9mm, but he thinks we MIGHT be able to save this cycle, but gotta got back friday and see what that brings. so keeping up with the water and protein and staying at the increased dose. feeling more hopeful.... is it friday yet!

xx

Thanks bessie I was just so worried last night thinking what if I'd known last week, would my medications have been different/altered due to it but from what I've read I'm reassured as my TSH was down on my last test from 4.48 to an amazing 1.7 (and I've been on same dose since then so hoping it's the same or lower) and I am on aspirin which fingers crossed will also help

Going to call my clinic and let them know but doubt there's anything they can change now so I have to just hope it works

I don't feel any different at all, in fact I've been alarmed at how normal I feel as was expecting side effects from progesterone but have none. The only thing I've had the last three nights is a very strange sensation like palpitations but in my uterus area ??! It's very strange

Your cycle sounds much more promising now too with more follicles. Fingers crossed for good news on Friday !

Waitingimpatient · 14/10/2015 18:34

Sad had some horrible left sided pain this aft and an hour or so later some spotting (pinky red) . Not sure what to make of it and I'm a bit worried

My clinic are shut, will call them tomorrow but has anyone else had similar symptoms ?

MiraclesDoHappen82 · 14/10/2015 20:11

Waiting could it be implantation bleeding?
Hope your ok
