The old thread which was so popular has become full so thought we'd start one here again for us all to support one another through the clomid journey and celebrate it's successes xx

Thank you ladies, you are so lovely. I'll be checking up to see how you're doing. Ginger I will join the old birds thread if we decide to try again. X

ImpatientOne · 01/05/2014 15:52

Aw Annie what an awful thing to happen. Take care of youself xx

kerrylou84 · 01/05/2014 16:02

So so sorry to hear that Annie, hugs xxxxx

Gingerbreadlady1 · 01/05/2014 16:37

So sorry annie, you take good care of yourself. Please do join us, they're a great bunch, fankle is on there too, if or when you decide to try again xxxx

j200 · 01/05/2014 19:27

oh annie i am so sorry for you, look after yourself xxx

Fankletastic · 01/05/2014 22:21

Annie- that is very sad and so unfair. I'm sorry. You'll need plenty of tlc and time to recover and see if you want to give up once you're through the worst of it. I know how devastating that moment is when you're being scanned and they tell you it's not good news. Ah fuck! So so unfair.

Hugs xx

HowsTheSerenity · 01/05/2014 22:40

I'm very sorry about what has happened. Look after yourself

AnnieHoo · 02/05/2014 14:21

thanks ladies - you are a seriously amazing support through this crazy roller coaster ride we're on.

Fankle did you have the same thing happen to you? What I've had is called a Blighted Ovum. It's the second time it's happened to me at 8.5 weeks. It's so fucking cruel because you have all the symptoms and don't find out until the scan that the little ovum never grew just the sac.

It's just a random thing but i've had double bad luck. Probably due to my age meaning more of my eggs are of poor quality. I think it's IVF I need now so they can pick out the good eggs but I have no idea about IVF at all.

Feeling a lot better today. Right now I'm going to concentrate on eating a huge bar of Dairy Milk and booking a blooming lovely summer holiday in the sun.

ImpatientOne · 02/05/2014 18:05

Sounds like a very good plan Annie :)

Fankletastic · 02/05/2014 18:20

Annie - you are coping so well my dear. Chocolate and sunny hols are a good comfort.

I think Ginger mentioned her Old Birds thread in Trying to Conceive. I've just posted my full story there. Slightly different to you as i didn't have a blighted ovum. However I had two early scans due to bleeding - one at 6wks 5 days, where they found a heartbeat (hurrah!), then another scan at nearly 8 weeks as bleeding had returned. No heartbeat. Worst moment ever. Utterly horrible. It seems so long ago now...more than 2 years ago.

Nothing since Sad

How old are you? I'm 35 so officially an 'old bird'! Great.

AnnieHoo · 02/05/2014 18:42

Oh fankle that must have been heartbreaking after the relief of seeing a heartbeat. It's so cruel. I'll Join the old birds soon. I definitely qualify at 40! Never thought I'd still be trying at this age.

Fankletastic · 02/05/2014 18:47

I know. My heart goes out to you right now.

StoneBaby · 02/05/2014 19:16

Frankle I'm 35 too and don't consider myself as old. When I ask the FC if my age was of concern he told me not to worry about it!

kurama · 02/05/2014 19:51

hope your feeling a little better today annie and fankle that must have been so hard for you. fx and babydust for everyone on here x

StoneBaby · 02/05/2014 21:02

And Annie lots of thoughts for you and take care

Fankletastic · 05/05/2014 08:55

Reporting a BFP!!!!

Not sure if it was the clomid (4th round) or the laparoscopy and removal of mild endometriosis in January....and I don't care. I'm just delighted. This has been a very long time coming.

Thanks for all your kind words of support. Obviously a bit anxious after what happened last time but just going to try to remain as calm and positive as possible.

ImpatientOne · 05/05/2014 09:13

kerrylou84 · 05/05/2014 16:40

Congratulations fankle xxx

StoneBaby · 05/05/2014 20:00

Fanke congratulations. To be fair, it doesn't matter what got you pg, what matters is to take care of you and the little bean :)

Fankletastic · 05/05/2014 20:27

Thanks everyone for all the lovely comments and support. It really helps to be able to share this when you can't tell anyone irl. Going to keep it very quiet for a bit longer.

Kurama I didn't have any symptoms! Not even sore boobs (they only started to hurt on Saturday when I was already a day late, which I thought was weird). I even had some cramping last week which led me to believe my period was on its way. I don't know if not having any symptoms is a good thing or a bad thing but at least it meant I wasn't obsessing over ever little twinge. Honestly thought I was out this month as DH was away during half of my fertile week. Must've been the late night shag when he did get home on the day I think I ov'd!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 05/05/2014 21:00
