The old thread which was so popular has become full so thought we'd start one here again for us all to support one another through the clomid journey and celebrate it's successes xx

And thanks! Smile

Booked an amazing 2 wk adult only hol so that's keeping my pecker up! And been good to myself, lots of spa visits. Have you told anyone in rl yet? What's your due date?

kerrylou84 · 29/04/2014 17:24

Hi girls, scan went amazingly! Everything is fine and there is only one of them in there lol. Everyone told me I would be having twins and I just freaked out.

I would love to share my scan picture with you, if no one has any objections?xxx

AnnieHoo · 29/04/2014 17:45

Yes Kerry let's see - that's great news!! Must have been so exciting to see. So chuffed for you. X

Ginger - spa breaks and 2w adult holiday sounds amazing Wine Wine. Somewhere hot I hope. We need to indulge more - it's absolutely crucial!! It was a previous mc (miscarriage) I had not ms so GP was sympathetic and referred me for early scan - not had letter yet so might never happen. Due date is 7 December if all goes well.

There you go, hope no one minds xxx

Gingerbreadlady1 · 29/04/2014 18:00

kerry congratulations, I certainly don't mind, loving it. Reminds us clomid works. Glad there is only 1 lol! Beautiful, brought a tear to an old birds eye!

kerrylou84 · 29/04/2014 19:19

Awww thanks girls!
Yeah it's starting to feel a bit real, I think tomorrow when I wake up I will realise that it is certainly real.

I was petrified cos everyone was telling me there was twins lol. It was amazing to see. I lay on the bed and when she put the jelly on me and the scanner I saw my partners face light up, was great. Then I had to ask how many was there before I looked lol. Shed a tear or 2, what a journey and to finally get where we wana be!

DON'T GIVE UP HOPE LADIESxxxxxxx

j200 · 29/04/2014 19:25

Ah Kerrylou thats lovely, do you feel less worried now?

Another success story here (Ginger have hope)- I have just got a BFP too yesterday (feels like a dream/unreal), clomid didn't work for me at any dose so moved onto menopur injections instead but they worked first time :)

I am sooooo worried though, just want the next 8 weeks to fly by and have a healthy 12 wk scan

Good luck everyone and keep positive x

Gingerbreadlady1 · 29/04/2014 20:06

Huge congratulations j200!!!!!Grin

AnnieHoo · 29/04/2014 20:58

kurama · 29/04/2014 21:07

congrats j200! kerry awwwww! it certainly makes me feel better and gives hope! Grin

kerrylou84 · 29/04/2014 21:25

Awww congratulations j200! So pleased for you. Just try not to stress......easier said than done because I stressed every single day lol, but honestly try to relax.

When you get your appointment for scan you will probably start to feel more relaxed, but if you're anything like me the day of the scan you will feel so scared lol. It as soon as you see your little baby all the feelings of stress and worry just fade away.

Xxxxx

kurama · 29/04/2014 21:36

question. has anyone ever had slightly red boobs while on clomid? mine have been red and itchy this month and feel warm compared to rest of me. but if I scratch I end up with a lovebite coloured rash...... cant get in at docs till friday and im getting a bit worried now.....Angry Sad

AnnieHoo · 29/04/2014 22:02

Yes Kurama I had a rash of red pin-prick spots on my cleavage. It went away quickly though. It's one of the side-effects. You should tell your GP though.

Fankletastic · 29/04/2014 22:12

Ooh congrats to J200 and Kerrylou!
Great to see some bfps and good news at last.

J200- did you have an iui or just the injections and hcg shot?

kurama · 29/04/2014 23:17

annie they are fully red with rashy patches were I scratch and take ages to go away. roll on friday when I can see doc.

j200 · 30/04/2014 06:06

Thanks Fankle Smile I just had the injections and a shot, no IUI as the issue was that I just wasn't ovulating at all on my own/with Clomid, took 5 weeks of injections to grow a follicle but fingers crossed it's a healthy one!

ItsChristmaass · 30/04/2014 12:57

Congrats j200!! And Kerry I'm glad your scan went well - congrats!

I met my midwife this week and confirmed due date of 28th December. I'm off for a early scam next week (I'll only be 6 weeks or just over) to check for multiples and that everything is in the right place. I can't wait!

ImpatientOne · 30/04/2014 20:10

How exiting Christmaass :)

I feel sick as a dog today which is coming and going in waves. Obviously not sure if it's the hcg injections or the dodgy ready meal I had for lunch Confused

Stonebaby how are you getting on?

kerrylou84 · 01/05/2014 09:40

Thankyou Christmas.

Why dp you have to go for an early scan? I was told I wouldn't need one unless I was seriously overweight or I had been bleeding
Xxx

AnnieHoo · 01/05/2014 14:57

Hello ladies. I had a scan this morning as brown discharge last night and it showed a sac measuring 8w+5d but no foetus inside. Very sad now, just waiting for mc to start. Nature is so cruel xxx will be back on clomid as soon as this is over I think. Might give up though. So sad.

kurama · 01/05/2014 15:18

oh annie im so sorry. why is nature so cruel sometimes?! hope you dont give up. big unmumsnety hug from me. xxx

Gingerbreadlady1 · 01/05/2014 15:19

Oh annie I'm so so very sorry. That's so fucking cruel. You must be in pieces. I've a thread going called old birds, lots of lovely older ttc folk on there and a few going/gone through similar to yourself. It's a great place for moral support. So sorry hon, you're In my thoughts xxx
