CountryCob, it must be hard not being able to attribute the lack of ovulation to a condition or something, it makes it all a bit of a mystery for you. Mind you, saying that PCOS covers such a broad spectrum of symptoms that I wonder whether it is a tag just used by the medical profession to sometimes mask what they don't know. Despite IVF etc low level fertility issues are still a bit of a mystery to the Doctors I've come across, they find it hard to be specific about anything. Anyway, hopefully clomid will do the trick and kick start your ovulation. I have my day 21 bloods tomorrow so hopefully they will confirm I ovulated for the first time in a year on Friday. That was on 100mg / second cycle of clomid.
Wow, KerryLou, 41 days is a long cycle ... Really you've been lucky this time around!
Welcome to the other ladies too!
FlowerOct, firstly I've always thought once a dose made you ovulate it would be consistently effective and make you ovulate each month but that could be my ignorance speaking! Couldn't they raise your dosage slightly to ensure you ovulate every month? I've heard of ladies ovulating way past day 20 but I guess it depends on the general length of their cycle. I'm not sure if it's normal for your ovulation day to skip around from month to month. KerryLou, didn't you think this happened to you this month?
J200, hope it works out for you! Will they keep an eye on your lining as you go along?
MeInKids, what ovulation test are you using? I used the dual hormone indicator by clear blue and it did the same to me. It detected a rise in my oestrogen levels due to taking clomid - so for a week I was getting happy faces and alas no flashing smiley face as I never ovulated so no spike in LH levels :( xx
Anroga, haha! My hubby is looking worn out and I must admit I'm pretty shattered too ... Trying to get pregnant is hard work!! Xxx
