The old thread which was so popular has become full so thought we'd start one here again for us all to support one another through the clomid journey and celebrate it's successes xx

Hi ginger. It went really well, got loads of blood taken, height, weight etc and just filled out loads of paper work. Just have to wait for a date for my scan.......scary but exciting stuff!

How are you xxx

AnnieHoo · 20/03/2014 16:24

ahhh Kurama he is beautiful!

Shoegal - is acupuncture making a difference for you? I've just booked a session in 2 weeks with an acupuncturist who specialises in fertility in Edinburgh. I've also booked a session with a fertility advisor who works alongside her, they do natural alternative therapy stuff. Worth a go!

Letter from OBGYN clinic came today saying next appointment is not until 15th May. I was told it would be early-mid April so it's just aswell I got my extra Clomid from the GP last week or I'd be devastated reading that.

I should phone them for a cancellation and bring things forward... yeah, I'm gonna be a pushy mare and phone the gynae secretary right now! ShockWink

kerrylou84 · 20/03/2014 16:34

Annie try reflexology. I can't promise that it made a difference to me but the month I had it done is the month I fell pregnant. Seems a huge coincidence though. I was also given some oils to massage into my abdomen after a bath, the oils are sometimes used for fertility. Again, it may just be a coincidence but a good one at that xxx

AnnieHoo · 20/03/2014 16:36

I did it!Smile. Phoned the hospital and asked for an earlier appointment and got one for 1st May instead which is much better. She said call in a couple of weeks and we might be able to bring it forward to April. So glad I did that - taking control here!!

AnnieHoo · 20/03/2014 16:48

OK KerryLou I'm willing to do anything in my control. I've just left a message with local beauty spa to arrange a reflexology session. I've got some vouchers I was going to use for a facial but this is more important! Glad all went well with you today : )

StoneBaby · 20/03/2014 21:15

Well I'm out this month. AF came today but as I was home I did book my CD10 scan (which will be on CD12 due to the weekend).

I have a spa voucher, I may look if they do reflexology too Grin

Gingerbreadlady1 · 20/03/2014 21:54

Sorry stonebaby, it sucks!

annie intrigued about your natural remedies, please report back to us. And well done on assertiveness, impressed!

kurama I have a furry baby too but he'd never do that, he's too cool for school.

Don't know why but feeling a bit down tonight. Despite our best efforts feel like it's never gonna happen Sad

Fankletastic · 20/03/2014 22:43

Take heart Ginge. I know it's hard...the waiting seems never ending. But it has to happen for us and then there will be no more waiting.

I've been preoccupied with birthday fun and work this week so not had a chance to obsess much (although am obvs still counting cycle days and observing cm and boobs for signs--nothing much so far except slightly increased amount of cm). Hoping this 2ww will go fast.

AnnieHoo · 21/03/2014 10:49

Oh ginger I know, it gets to you after a while. I reached my lowest ebb with this. It's a longer journey for some of us.. But will be so worth it. We are doing all the right things. Clomid is working in our bodies right now. It's powerful and that means our hormones are making us tearful and a bit mad... I downloaded a track from www.catchingrainbowsfertility.co.uk/ specifically for women going through clomid treatment. I listen to it every day - it helps me accept that I might actually get pregnant...

Gingerbreadlady1 · 21/03/2014 21:37

Thanks annie and fankle, good to have people to talk to. How you guys doing? Any symptoms? I have none, thought I may have been getting af earlier today as a bit cramps but nothing yet, would be well early.

sharond101 · 21/03/2014 21:40

I really struggled with the waiting and length of time everything takes. Someone in their wisdom told me that when my day became to become a Mother I would no longer care about the waiting as the only thing important enough to worry about from that day on would be the baby I was holding in my arms.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 21/03/2014 21:42

That's lovely sharond101

AnnieHoo · 21/03/2014 23:04

Aw that really is lovely sharond101.
Hee haw symptoms here Ginger. Zip. Early days though, testing a week tomorrow.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 22/03/2014 16:01

kurama · 22/03/2014 20:51

ItsChristmaass · 23/03/2014 08:15

Kurama I found it Smile
Can I join in this thread? I'm currently on cd 30 of 2nd round of 50mg clomid. Af is one day late but I've just started spotting so should be here today. I've got 1 more round to go then will be advised to go for iui or even ivf so I'm hoping it works.
Also I'm just about to move on to cycle 16.

kerrylou84 · 23/03/2014 08:34

Hi itschristmas how come you are only allowed 3months on chlomid?xxx

ItsChristmaass · 23/03/2014 10:30

Hiya Kerrylou, the past 2 cycles the clomid has given me inflamed ovaries. This cycle I've been in agony. So the consultant I seen last week told me that the clomid isn't doing any good and I should look into iui or even ivf if I want quick results Hmm it wasn't my usual consultant so I'm going to see what she says when I go for my next follicle scan.

AnnieHoo · 23/03/2014 12:36

Hi itschristmas, sounds like you're getting good advice and they're not wasting any time. I'm on 3rd round of Clomid in the 2ww.

How's everyone feeling today? I've had a couple of PMT style hormonal flashes of irrational rage to keep things interesting! 8dpo now.. Please god give me sore boobs and heartburn followed by a lovely BFP next week.

kurama · 23/03/2014 14:28

Hey chrostmas well that sucks im on my 2nd month of 4 so we will see how ov goes this month.... whats iui btw? im doing well this week just been enjoying tge sun and trying to weed my garden patch around the flowers lol. fx kerrylou Grin

kurama · 23/03/2014 14:29

Christmas stupid phone lol and fx annie Grin Grin Grin

ItsChristmaass · 23/03/2014 14:45

Iui is where they take the sperm, clean it up and insert it through a catheter type thing through directly into the cervix. It's not appealing to me Confused

Gingerbreadlady1 · 23/03/2014 17:58

Hi itschristmas, welcome! Couple of ladies on here are currently awaiting on the arrival of their clomid babies Smile

kurama you must be bricking if, really hope you have an easier time this month. My first clomid month was the worst, ive been less tender each time so hopefully you'll not have the hyperstim.

I have absolutely zip, zero, nada symptoms. I prev had early mc & had implantstion bleeding so thinking if I don't get that again ill be on to cycle 20. Do you get some sort of endurance prize? Like a holiday (or a baby?) you bloody should.... At least a medal...

ItsChristmaass · 23/03/2014 18:23

Hiya ginger. Thanks for welcoming me. Ooh wow that's exciting! Af is in full flow so time to start next cycle. Sweet 16! Smile What days does everyone take their clomid on? I started on days 2-6 first & second cycle, now my new consultant in Germany (dh in army) has changed it to 5-9.

kurama · 23/03/2014 19:34

im on days 2-6 as well. yes I am pretty scared about it. im still feeling tender from last time so no idea what to expectSad lol a baby would be the best prize of all!
its so nice being able to talk to others going through the same thing. I think know I drive dh crazy sometimes as I want to talk about stuff and he doesnt Angry I started using ic opks yest and will move on to clear blue digi when the line starts getting darker Grin
