The old thread which was so popular has become full so thought we'd start one here again for us all to support one another through the clomid journey and celebrate it's successes xx

OP posts:

fankle I think that bodes well for conception as the bodies immune system will be weaker from tackling cold so better chance a wee swimmer will make it through.

Fankletastic · 16/03/2014 14:55

Hope so Ginger. Wink

Looks like we are still cycle buddies then! We will have to try to keep each other sane through the 2ww!
Going to see my FC tomorrow so will hopefully come back with a plan of action re iui or IVF.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 16/03/2014 16:55

Yup, we can support each other through the hell of 2ww! annieHoo is our cycle bud too, she's been away for a posh weekend so will hopefully be back to join us soon.

Please report back tomorrow as I'm exactly the same as you, after 3 more months on clomid I'll be looking to the next step. Good luck!! Plus I've an apt on 4th April so I can ask any questions you may forget/think of later.

Fankletastic · 16/03/2014 22:30

Will do. Just been going through our questions- and ranking them in order of importance in case we run out of time!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 17/03/2014 18:39

How'd it go fankle?

StoneBaby · 17/03/2014 19:59

frankle how was the appointment?

Well I POAS again tonight after a day of vomiting, nausea and cramping and got a BFN. DHfound me sobbing in the kitchen and told me we'll try again next months. I just want to scream it's been 2 years of trying!! Now I want results

Fankletastic · 17/03/2014 21:14

Ooh sorry to hear that Stone. It's bloody awful isn't it? You wish that AF won't show up for 2 whole weeks then you do an early test, get a bfn and just wish AF would show up so you can get on with it. So annoying.

Appointment was fine thanks. It was really just a post laparoscopy review. We asked to be referred to the acu so we should get an appointment in 6-8 weeks. All this waiting!!

I asked about the clomid and he said he wouldn't be unhappy if I went back on it for 2-3 months while waiting for the acu appointment. The NHS can't monitor me whilst on it though so if I do go back on it it will be in blind hope that it might do some good (and in dread of the side effects). I have approximately 2 weeks to figure out whether to go back on it or not.

Ginger- my questions were mainly all endometriosis related. Basically everything is normal now that the endo has been removed. And apparently the lap can increase fertility for up to a year after. I'm giving it 6 months (til June/July) then plan on taking action in the form of iui or IVF.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 17/03/2014 21:33

In the pub so quick post!fankle, I've got away relatively lightly with clomid symptoms, no monitoring other than 21day bloods. I feel like its giving us a better chance so glad to be on it.... Oh back, gotta dash...

Shoegal30 · 18/03/2014 07:23

Hey I have been doing acupuncture for the past 3 months privately.

I was recommended by a friend who is pregnant now after trying for 3 years. She did IVF but caught first time and she believes it was down to the acupuncture.

I obv haven't got my BFP yet but the lady told me that my body is ready now. I am going to continue for another couple of months - at the very least I leave relaxed.

kurama · 18/03/2014 14:13

day 3, month 2 of clomid. .... please for the love of god dont let me rupture a cyst or get hyperoverstimulation again! camt afford more time off work Sad

Shoegal30 · 18/03/2014 14:43

Good luck kurama xx

AnnieHoo · 18/03/2014 18:37

oh man i am sooo chilled out!! Grin I totally recommend booking in for a spa day - got to keep doing deep relaxation stuff. I'm shocked at how stressed I was even though I didn't think I was.

Got a positive OPK on Friday at 13DPO which is the earliest ever known to me and I'm taking it as a good sign that the Clomid is doing its job.

I've just had some bleeding which I've never had before. Could be the hormones. From temping I think I'm 3DPO.

Went to the GP last week and she was able to prescribe 3 more months on 50mg to keep me going until I see OBGYN to talk about next steps in mid April - such a relief!

Ginger and Fankle my cycle buddies - let's do this!! the statistics say we CAN do this!!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 18/03/2014 21:38

Hi annie, so was it amazing then? Sooo jealous. Right, surely at least 1 of us, you, me or fankle, will get our bop this month. Think I had a double ov this month as strong pains at both ovaries plus pos opk sun, mon, tue (it's never ending). Dtd sat, sun, mon, tue!! C'MON!!!!! We're all shagged out Smile.

Did you catch ov if it was fir as were you not away all weekend?

Gingerbreadlady1 · 18/03/2014 21:39

BFP not bop....

AnnieHoo · 18/03/2014 22:12

I hope I caught ov it's a bit of a long shot though! DTD on thurs eve and again on fri morn before leaving. Positive opk Friday night. Didn't have time to test on fri morn so could have been positive earlier. Ideally would have DTD fri eve, sat and sun too if I'd been at home and OH was firing on all cylinders. Are you still feeling twinges..? A double whammy sounds like a good sign! Clomid seems to give you more action in the ovary dept - and strong boob twinges too.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 19/03/2014 00:29

Sex before ov gives you the best oppertunity is my understanding annie so you're def in with a shot.

Had last pos opk this morning so less uncomfortable now certainly. Sore nips now, bloody hormones...

kerrylou84 · 19/03/2014 08:32

Hi ladies, how we all doing? I'm off to see the midwife at 9.15, feel so nervous! Hoping she is going to tell me to take some time off work because I really hurt my back on Tuesday and can hardly walk! Been in so much pain.
Hopefully today I get a date for my first scan too. It sounds totally unreal saying this because I still don't believe it.

Hope you are all ok xxx

kurama · 19/03/2014 13:13
