The old thread which was so popular has become full so thought we'd start one here again for us all to support one another through the clomid journey and celebrate it's successes xx

We'll a trip to Cameron house will sort you right out, duck bay marina next door does great food also. Bit less posh. Amazing sticky toffee pudding.Yeah, I'm gonna write down all my questions before hand so not fobbed off/forget stuff.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 10/03/2014 23:28

I'm currently looking at amazing holidays we can't afford, want something to count down to...

AnnieHoo · 10/03/2014 23:34

Ooo I've been torturing myself looking at holidays online. Friend who just got pregnant advised a beach holiday and swore their trip to Sydney did the trick... I wish!!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 10/03/2014 23:48

We'll I feel like if I've not got a child I may as we'll get the benefits ie amazing holiday. Just the money bit to sort out now.... Might rob a bank......

Hi Annie

I am on my first cycle of Clomid too and the same thing happened to me with cbfm. I normally get a high between day 12-14 but got it at day 10 this month which has never happened before.
When id asked my FC she had said I could use the monitor alongside taking the medication. Not sure how accurate it was though...

kerrylou84 · 11/03/2014 09:18

Ladies can I ask have any of you had these symptoms before........sore upper back from shoulder blade to shoulder place, and pain in back and chest when eating and drinking?

It started yesterday and I'm feeling short of breath. I'm at the doctors later this morning. I've hardly slept with worry, could feel the pain during the night. Woke graham up crying cos I was scared xxx

Shoegal30 · 11/03/2014 09:45

Kerry I haven't had a BFP so can't relate but a close friend of mine is pregnant with her first child and has experienced a number of pains - so much so that she had trouble walking when we were out shopping the other day.

She panicked and has been worrying but the midwife assured her it was just her body growing esp as she was fairly inactive before she got her bfp so the pain was her body getting used to it.

Try not to worry (easy to say I know) xx

kerrylou84 · 11/03/2014 11:16

Thanks shoegal

The doctor I saw was utter crap! He said it could be heartburn! I told him I've had heartburn before so I know what it's like........then he said well it could be in theory, so to go back if it gets worse. Bloody hopeless.xxx

AnnieHoo · 11/03/2014 13:11

Kerrylou I would ring NHS24 if I were you just to be reassured. They can be hit or miss but when I've used them I've got through to excellent nurses.

AnnieHoo · 11/03/2014 13:27

Or phone the surgery back and ask to speak to a nurse/ another GP? It could just be indigestion but if your instincts say it's not you need a healthcare professional to assure you it's nothing to be concerned about.

kerrylou84 · 11/03/2014 18:20

Thanks Annie .

The pain has eased a little, just feels a bit tight across my chest.
A lass I work with said she had the same and had to go for a camera down her throat and she has a hyatus hernia.......or however you spell it lol.

I got my free packs from Emma's diary and Bounty today, so exciting!xxx

Oh wow lotty the thread now has picture upload options!!xxx

Gingerbreadlady1 · 11/03/2014 19:11

Do you get panic attacks kerry?

kerrylou84 · 11/03/2014 19:43

Gingerbreadlady1 · 11/03/2014 21:21

Thought it sounded a bit like how panic attacks are described, you feeling any better now?

kerrylou84 · 11/03/2014 21:34

Yeah I am thankyou.

The pain has eased loads and I've been able to eat and drink without it hurting.
My back feels like it needs a good massage........ I've had this pain before but never where it's hurt when I've ate.

Thanks ladies xxx

Shoegal30 · 12/03/2014 07:02

Me. Hoping to get my BFP this weekend. FF has put me as ovulating early this cycle so tracked my AF to start as yesterday. No AF at mo so am going to hold tight until the weekend and then I may pee on a stick.

I haven't really had any BFP symptoms and this morning I have woke up with the slightest tenderness in my breasts and tummy. Hope it's not AF making her way.

StoneBaby · 12/03/2014 07:23

Hi
Can I join?
I'm on my 2nd Clomid cycle and in the dreaded 2ww at the moment.
I've starting symdrom spotting and it is driving me mad [grr] I'm not counting my chickens as we've been ttc for 2 years now.
Good luck to all

kerrylou84 · 12/03/2014 09:15

Thanks girls. I've just got a bit of tightness in my chest when I have a drink. Hope it's just indigestion.

Kurama you make me laugh lol.

Welcome to the thread stone. Me and my partner were trying for a year and a half. Tests showed that I wasn't ovulating and my cycle was so irrational. I got told to loose a stone so when I did I was given 6months of chlomid, that was in June so technically I should of been finished taking Clomid in December. But sometimes my cycle was up to 73days so I took my last round of chlomid in February........and got my BFP 2weeks ago.

Keep positive thinking, or just try to brush it out of your mind completely......that's what I was starting to do as I had been so stressed.

Best of luck xxx

Fankletastic · 12/03/2014 10:36

Hiya
I've been lurking on this thread for a week or so now so decided to post and join in the clomid chat. You all seem very nice and it's good to know that there's already been a BFP. Congratulations Kerrylou!

I've been ttc 2.5 years and am 34 (35 next week Sad). Got BFP in 3rd cycle and sadly miscarried in jan 2012. Over 2 years ago! Nothing since. Have had numerous tests and all ok so termed unexplained. It's been driving me insane and I have had multiple meltdowns, leading me at one point last august to see a counsellor (not that it helped). I'm just resigned to living with the daily sadness (and envy) as all my friends get pregnant and have their first and now second babies.

I was prescribed clomid 50mg for 6 months but gave up after 3 months as I found my periods were getting lighter and lighter each month, making me worry it was actually doing more harm than good. Especially as I ovulate on my own anyway. I had a very weird period a
In November with (sorry for tmi) a big chunk of grey matter/tissue and hardly any blood. So I asked for a quicker appointment with my FC and told him that I wanted a laparoscopy to rule out endometriosis ( a friend had advised me to ask for this having had experience of it herself...and got a BFP 2nd month after her lap). I was amazed he agreed to perform a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. That was at the end of January. They found I did have endometriosis but only a mild case. I was relieved that they found something but surprised as I had no idea I had it!

Now I'm wondering what to do next. I've still got 3 months worth of clomid so should I go back on it? Think my FC will advise me to do this when I go back to see him on Monday. But I'd rather go straight into assisted conception I think...either iui or ivf. I hate that it's coming to this but feel I'm running out of time and just want to take action. Would you ladies go back on the clomid if you were me?
Thanks :-)

AnnieHoo · 12/03/2014 10:58

Hi Stonebaby and Fankle!
Everyone is really nice here Smile I've just joined MN recently and i'm now never off it!

Fankle it's really difficult knowing what to do next. All you can do it make sure you're fully informed. Just about to get clomid prescribed again if this round doesn't work but feeling like I should be moving on rapidly towards IUI and IVF rather than keep trying with the clomid. The pressures on for me as I am nearing the cut off age for Assisted conception on the NHS (43 in Scotland) so have to push for that or continue on a few more months of with clomid until I'm 41 in May. I've decided I'm giving it a year as the sadness begins to take over ... Hmm

It's really really hard work this baby making business!!! Wink

AnnieHoo · 12/03/2014 10:59

Fingers crossed Shoegal !
