The old thread which was so popular has become full so thought we'd start one here again for us all to support one another through the clomid journey and celebrate it's successes xx

Sorry to hear about your nausea Lotty, although its for a very good cause :)

I would def avoid that place KerryLou- sounds v unprofessional

Alas I am leaving the clomid forum, it's not working for me and so my next option is to apply for funding to have injections and I have to have an HSG. Going to take a while I think to get the referral and hopefully funding so a few months off. Will keep checking up on you all though xxx

Lottystar · 28/01/2014 21:26

All the best J200, let us know how you get along. I really, really hope your next course of treatment works for you x

kerrylou84 · 29/01/2014 11:17

Best of luck to you j200.

I take my last tablet tomorrow then must go at it like rabbits Grin

Been feeling really stressed out and emotional the past couple of days. Oh and I've booked in for reflexology with a friend! Not giving that unprofessional business my money lol xxx

Gingerbreadlady1 · 29/01/2014 21:56

Lol! Enjoy the shagging kerrylou!

Think you dodged a bullet with that reflexologist, sounds well dodgy!

DitsyDonkey · 30/01/2014 22:30

Congratulations Lotty, I hope this is a sticky bean! It gives me hope.

Lottystar · 31/01/2014 11:46

Thanks Ditsy, I do hope we all have very sticky beans soon. One week today until my early reassurance scan, counting the days xx

Lotty, have they advised you to take baby aspirin throughout and progesterone supplements (vaginally....nice)? That is what I have been told to do....if I ever manage to conceive again! Oh and also stay on the metformin until at least 12 weeks!

Lottystar · 03/02/2014 15:17

I'm on the metformin but Dr said unless I has sticky blood the aspirin wouldn't help. I have my scan Thurs, pls keep everything crossed for me. I'm a nervous wreck after last time. How are you Ditsy? Are you taking a break from ttc or back on the wagon? X

Hi all, I'm new to this but I just wanted to share my story to give a bit of hope. Back in November my husband and I started our first course of Clomid after ttc for 2 years due to my PCOS. We had our tracking scans and were told it hadn't worked. We were asked to wait 6 weeks and try again on a higher dose. 6 weeks came, I did a test and not pregnant(no surprise there) I took Provera to make a bleed come, that bleed never came. I said to my husband "I'll torture myself and do a test and phone the hospital tomorrow". The test was positive and I am now 10 weeks pregnant, my early scan showed everything was fine at 8 weeks. I just wanted to share this as I spent many months down and feeling it would never happen for me and now it has. xx

Gingerbreadlady1 · 04/02/2014 20:02

Hi all, thanks nc AF came today & your story cheered me up!

Ladies, looking for advice please, I've to take clomid day 2-6, just got AF after 3 days spotting, should I count this ad day 1 or tomorrow as that's first full day? Thanks

Only a few days to your scan lotty you'll be counting the days!

Lottystar · 04/02/2014 22:50

I think either will be fine Ginger, I took it day 3-7 last cycle and I fell pregnant Smile

I'm crazy nervous but need to know that everything is okay now or not.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 05/02/2014 09:55

Let us know how it goes, sure everything will be absolutely fine & all your bad luck is behind you.

kerrylou84 · 06/02/2014 11:48

Hi ladies.

Good luck lotty,wt us know how it goes.

I've been for reflexology today..it was amazing! Made me feel so relaxed. The woman who done it is a friend of my mams, and she is going to use me as a case study for oils and fertility. She hasnt qualified yet but she has done loads of courses etc. She is also asking a friend about accupuncture, so now I am feeling very positive!xxx

Lottystar · 06/02/2014 13:56

Hi ladies,

I saw little bubba's heartbeat flickering on the screen today. It was such a relief and very emotional. My due date is now 23rd September. 5 weeks until 12 weeks and the next scan Smile

That all sounds positive KerryLou, acupuncture definitely made a difference to me. Apparently it's supposed to make your womb healthy and conducive to pregnancy.

Hope your okay Ginger and bit feeling the clomid side effects too much? X

Awww that's my step-daughters birthday! Exciting news for you lotty, really pleased xxx

Gingerbreadlady1 · 06/02/2014 16:55

So pleased lotty! Must have been so lovely. Grin

Sounds like you lucked out there kerrylou!

First clomid taken today, within about 8 days I'm sure ill feel ready to burst!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 06/02/2014 17:03

Can I ask, have any of you found your AF to be much heavier with clomid? This is the heaviest AF I've had in years.

Lottystar · 06/02/2014 20:10

Thanks ladies, my af was a bit heavier too Ginger and longer in duration x

OP posts:
Gingerbreadlady1 · 06/02/2014 23:19

Thanks lotty I'm choosing to take it as a positive, maybe nice healthy lining there (I'm loosing it)

kerrylou84 · 07/02/2014 08:40

Hi gingerbread. Yeah I noticed mine was a hell of a lot heavier, mainly on the first 2 days. The cramps were horrible.........when I used to get them in the past (which wasn't very often) the pain was there but not as bad as it was with chlomid. My period used to last between 4-5 days while on chlomid, before that was around 6days.

I am going to ask about accupuncture today.....I didn't realise that there is a shop on my main street that does accupuncture, reflexology and physio. The lady that does accupuncture is friends with the lady that did my reflexology yesterday!
I was given some some oils to rub on my stomach after a bath and in the morning xxx

Gingerbreadlady1 · 07/02/2014 14:58

I went for Accupuncure twice but it kinda fell by the wayside with everything else going on....

Reflexology is interesting.. Will eagerly await feedback on if u think it makes any diff'.
