Bloke on ITV news just said 'clearly we're looking at a co-ordinated terrorist attack but one that causes absolute chaos"

Twiglett · 07/07/2005 10:39

as in they're aiming for chaos rather than huge loss of life

tiredemma · 07/07/2005 10:39

GeorginaA · 07/07/2005 10:40

PiccadillyCircus · 07/07/2005 10:40

I don't really want to be in London right now .

Want to be at home with DH and DS.

Feeling a bit emotional (being nearly 30 weeks pregnant probably doesn't help)

karenanne · 07/07/2005 10:40

Just spoken to DH . He is still in his hotel reception on Ken High St. Everyone in his group are fine, but it is total chaos. DH's CEO drove down to London (DH and co got the train), so hopefully he'll be able to cadge a lift. Although there are 6 delegates including the CEO and we're unsure how many seats CEO's car has....

PLEASE, PLEASE let him get home in reasonable time. DS1 is off school ill today and it's DS2's sports day/evening later... fingers crossed

My DP is also at canary wharf, he phoned me to tell me what had happened! I am hoping they stay away from that area.
Bloody BASTARDS, why do they do it when its rush hour!

Azure · 07/07/2005 10:42

I'm in work but DH was thrown off the tube at Earls Court and I haven't heard from him since (he doesn't have his mobile with him). In my department there is one person unaccounted for and two others who have phoned in to say they are trying to get in on foot or by bus. My office (where DH also works) is around the corner from Russell Square. I am trying to stop the department from panicking.

RTKangaMummy · 07/07/2005 10:43

NDP that is deffo brill that he is ok

A big {hug} to all those in London right now, or those with family/friends there xxxx

Freckle · 07/07/2005 10:43

DS2 was on a coach heading for the Tate Modern with the school this morning. I've just been contacted to say that they have turned round and are heading back to school. Very relieved.

Blossomhill · 07/07/2005 10:43

OMG

Went to London on the tube for special needs meet up yesterday. How scarily close

Have got a shiver down my spine

Azure · 07/07/2005 10:43

Russell Square is not near the American embassy.
