I'm in Baker Street (I get a train into Kings Cross). Guess I'm safer here than outside and also there would be no way I could get home anyway.

swiperfox · 07/07/2005 10:43

explosion at Marylebone.is that a new one???

MrsBubsDeVere · 07/07/2005 10:43

My best mate has just phoned to tell me that she has finally got ahold of her brother, he was on a tube and got kicked off at the next station but they are stuggling to get in touch with his wife who also lives in the town centre.

QueenOfQuotes · 07/07/2005 10:43

OMG that's awful - have relatives in Greater London - but lots of friends here in Wellingborough who's DH's work in the city

puddle · 07/07/2005 10:45

Horrible. I am working at home today thank goodness - am up in London three days a week usually Must be scheduled to co-incide with G8 -there are so many police from the South East up there I would imagine it's hampering efforts in London. Thoughts with all those woriied about friends and colleagues.

I'm feeling unnerved here and I'm at home. Have spoken to colleagues in London and they all sound a bit shaky.

mummy23 · 07/07/2005 10:47

they have just reported on sky news that it looks like a terrorist attack and not the power surges to blame for this big disaster! I hope every one can reach loved ones and that all is safe and well!

soapbox · 07/07/2005 10:47

I've only just made it into the office! Moorgate has been completely shot off and buildings were being evacuated.

Now eerily quiet, even the masses of people walking that were around earlier seem to have disappeared, very little traffic on City Road as well.

How are all the other City Mums???

DH is at a conference today in London somewhere but bad wife that I am, didn't ask where! However it started at 8 so will no doubt be sitting in meeting in blissful ignorance!

tiredemma · 07/07/2005 10:47

karenanne · 07/07/2005 10:48

suzywong · 07/07/2005 10:49

Hellfire
DH just happens to be in London this week on business and he has just this minute called me, I hadn't seen the news or this thread. He's OK but meetings tomorrow have been cancelled.

Hope everyone and their family and friends is OK

JakB · 07/07/2005 10:50

Just awful when you see news like this unfold before your eyes. My DH is in central London in the ITN building on Grays Inn Road. He's OK but it's chaos and everybody is on high alert.

mummy23 · 07/07/2005 10:51

mummy23 · 07/07/2005 10:52
