Ok, No more apologies eh? Just a case of crossed wires.
Can easily see how it would happen on a day lie today

GeorginaA · 07/07/2005 12:32

God I feel awful now - just didn't consider. Have had the news on with the kids here

ds1 asked a few questions about what was happening and I was vague. Have switched to Nick Jr now.

Am such a bad mother

tarantula · 07/07/2005 12:32

I didnt see your remark as being flippant either Fio and weve just had a scare here. TBH the only thing that is keeping everyone here together is our sense of humour. Sure if you dont laugh you cry [shaky

charleepeters · 07/07/2005 12:32

9/11 was horrible enough but when it happens in your own country it just hits home - is it only 2 deaths so far?

Springchicken · 07/07/2005 12:33

I've got it on too Georgina.
DD is only 1 but think even if she was older, i would still have it.
I'm not too great at thinking of these types of things.
Your not a bad mum x

dizzymama · 07/07/2005 12:33

What a terrible day .

Dh was caught in the Bishopsgate bombing, not seriously injured but still haunts him.

Hope anyone waiting for news of family and friends hears good things soon.

have they said what number bus had the explosion?

clio · 07/07/2005 12:35

Happy Huggy

My DH works in the HSBC building. They have reported no casulties in their london office. Currently they have been instructed to remain in the office. I am in an office in st paul's and we have been advised the same. Sirens going off everwhere at the moment. So scary.

charleepeters · 07/07/2005 12:35

kid · 07/07/2005 12:36

canary wharf has been evacuated

Dingle · 07/07/2005 12:36

I can't believe this has happened!!
Managed to speak to my brother-in-law, both he and my sister work in central London.

Could get hold of DH on his mobile, so I rang his office, in Orpinton, Kent. My heart sank when one of his colleagues said he was out on site. He covers quite a lot of the London Hospitals!! Been pacing around all morning waiting for a call.
He just called to let me know he is back in the office as one of his LOndon meetings was cancelled!!
Why is the world just so wicked.

dizzymama · 07/07/2005 12:37

Thank god they're all ok Dingle, phew!

snafu · 07/07/2005 12:38

Croydon has been 'locked down' too - has taken me an hour to get 3 miles... stationms shut, lots of home office buildings there

PooPooGirl · 07/07/2005 12:38

Am still waiting to hear from a friend who tubes from west to East London but I don't know where the explosions where in relation to his route. Am hoping that he and his partner are both safe!

charleepeters · 07/07/2005 12:38

I guees its jsut them proving that they can do this to us so easily - we just have to live our lvies as best we can and show them we cant be beaten. - i know tis may be a silly thing to say regarding the fact people ahve lost there lives and loved ones but what can you do at a time like this

hakuna · 07/07/2005 12:38

God, i'm crying now. very worried for you all, hate being stuck out in switz.
