And it is no less of a horrifying rape and murder if it involved just Guede, obviously. I am just feeling less convinced now that the other two were involved. But like you, Dittany, I only really started reading details of the case in the last week. I wonder if there is other evidence that we don't know about?

Does anyone esle suspect that amanada knox probably looks a bit like bonsoir?
(hence here elevetion to extraordinary beauty in anna's mind)

bet I'm right.

Ponders · 05/12/2009 16:48

Another thing I remember hearing months ago was that he claimed to be at home on his computer all evening; but although it was switched on, no activity was logged?

expatinscotland · 05/12/2009 16:48

'Tell me some facts about the case which prove her guilty. Give me a chronological time line. convince people with truth not bollox.'

Tell me why ANYONE has to prove to you she's guilty when a jury has already determined that?

Are you her sister?

She's in prison for murdering the girl based on evidence presented in court.

We weren't in that court.

The jury who convicted her was.

BitOfFun · 05/12/2009 16:51

I will read that, Dittany. I am wavering all over the place on this one

Lol Barbara- surely not? She might be a size twelve

Bonsoir · 05/12/2009 16:58

Do you feel further need to demonstrate your taste for flimsy evidence and idle gossip, BaronessBarbara

BaronessBarbaraKingstanding · 05/12/2009 17:01

Just a hunch anna.

Bonsoir · 05/12/2009 17:07

This thread is one of the most degenerate and tasteless I have read on MN. Most of you should be ashamed of yourselves.

There but for the grace of God...

BitOfFun · 05/12/2009 17:10

Get a grip - yours was the most shockingly inappropriate remark on here

A bit like Knox's All You Need Is Love T-shirt in court on Valentine's Day, in fact.

Bonsoir · 05/12/2009 17:15

The whole point of my remark was that there is evidence to support it to distant observers like ourselves - we've all seen the photos.

But you don't understand that. You think idle gossip is an intelligent debate...

grumpypants · 05/12/2009 17:19

Has anybody else read The Monster of Florence by a journalist who was investigated by Mignini for being the monster/ involved? At the back he comments at length on the Knox/Sollecito trial and concludes that he has grave doubts about the evuidence. Apparently the investigators are being investigated for bad practice (or similar) in Italy. It was thought provoking, and said how the press just reported the Italian press reports, making Amanda look guilty.

BitOfFun · 05/12/2009 17:19

Who's gossiping? This a thread to discuss and comment on a court case. Perfectly legitimate to do so, as an integral part of any justice system is the public nature of the process- I believe the broadsheets and BBC are doing the same. The trashier rags have focussed on Knox's looks, of course.

Stick to Style And Beauty if you're more comfortable there.

Bonsoir · 05/12/2009 17:24

I shall. Its moral content is a lot greater than this thread .

wannaBe · 05/12/2009 17:24

am baffled that people are defending this murderer so passionately, also that people seem to think they know better and can annalize the evidence better than prosicution lawyers/other authorities.

They are convicted murderers. convicted based on the evidence gathered by those who are trained to do so and presented in a court of law.

Do people really think that the authorities won't have taken into account that she lived in the flat with the victim when looking at the DNA evidence?

And in what way do sex games involve torture and knives and slitting someone's throat?

Watch out Wannabe- you aren't supposed to have an opinion on the case you know, unless it's about the physical attractiveness of the accused. It makes you degenerate.

Bonsoir · 05/12/2009 17:28

I think there are many holes and unanswered questions in the case that purports to prove her guilt and I very much doubt that the whole truth will ever be known, even after the appeals process.

She may very well be guilty. That doesn't mean I have no compassion for her or Sollecito.

Yes, we all could...

BitOfFun · 05/12/2009 17:31

Bollocks- I just wandered into the kitchen for a glass of wine. Do you think I should get DP to hide the knives in case I ritually slaughter him by accident?

I have already written about Meredith on this thread.

Can you not find anything within you, dittany, to feel any compassion whatsoever for all the people involved in this appalling case?

Georgimama · 05/12/2009 17:36

The only way I could ever become a murderer is if someone did to my child what was done to Meredith. Then I would happily kill and serve the rest of my life in prison, or even go to my own death, knowing I had given that person what they deserved.

I can't see me randomly deciding to slit a flatmate's throat because she, what, didn't want to play my kinky sex games? No, I don't need the grace of God not to go there.
